Hi everyone,
Typing from my bed because I have been having sharp pains on the left bottom side of my bump. They are really sore but do tend to settle when I rest so the midwife thinks it's round ligament pain. Have had paracetamol and am resting up but if they don't settle I will have to go in :( really hope it doesn't come to that.
blue your present for your dd sounds lovely and you must be creative to be able to do something like that in the first place. I have bought a knitting set to knit the little one a dog but not very good so need mum to help - good old mum eh!
Can't get back on the last page to catch up but hi to everyone else, hope you are all doing ok x

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 30/11/2011 13:28

Hi people!

Ciwi, hope you start to feel better soon. That sounds very scary, but at least the MW doesn't think it is anything wrong with the baby. Not nice to have to deal with stabbing pains, though!

Blue, I am in awe of your sewing too! I usually only sew at Halloween, or to put buttons back on or something equally easy. I tried turning a pair of DH's suit trousers up once and it so did not work - went all puckered and weird.

Razz, hope your scans go well and that you start to be able to feel more movement around the placenta soon.

August, I hope things calm down with your DH soon. Maybe's he's just trying to deal with grief himself and it's coming out as grumpiness? How has he been coping with things?

DH has taken the car and gone Christmas shopping (for me! Excitement!) so I am lounging around the house in my pyjamas. Not sure when we will take Thea's stone down to her. I hope DH comes back soon because there is no bread in the house and I am trying not to eat cake instead. I just want a ham sandwich! I am 3 miles from the nearest shop so I will just have to wait. I ought to get up and do some housework. Might just MN a bit longer first...

fanjodisfunction · 01/12/2011 12:18

Sorry this is quick Ive scanned through the recent posts really quick

ciwi I hope your not to freaked out, just stay rested. Thinking of u.

Waves to everyone else

I had a great time at OCS on tuesday night it was brill and really made me feel like a teenager again Id thought I wouldnt remember the words but they all came flooding back.

Also I have some amazing news Im getting the keys to the flat next tuesday! Yayyyy, so we are trying to organise everything carpets, blinds, white goods and a van to take it all there. Crazy but all worth it, I shall be in before christmas! Im so happy and excited. So If Im really quiet in the next couple of week its because we are moving, I will try to catch up as best I can on the old blackberry.

AngelGeorgie · 01/12/2011 14:57

Yeh fan xxx
My birthday here lovely day coffee with friends. Off to Lincoln tomorrow for weekend with family for Xmas markets. Really looking foreward to it as hotel has spa, sauna etc & for the first time in 2 years o can use it all!!!
However, a bit of downer ; my sister found out has MC today going in for EPRC tomorrow she's ok tough like me. She's coming to Lincoln to see us on Saturday. So, just as we thought life was going all too swimmingly wham it hits us again but collectively as a family this is minor hurdle to get through.
Love to all hope I re all ok?? Xxx

janedoe25 · 01/12/2011 15:42

George, sorry to hear about your sister. Hope she is ok. Your weekend sounds fab. I am having a quiet one to myself, Dh is working some overtime.

Fan excellent news! You must be so excited, new house for Christmas. Grin

CheeseandGherkins · 01/12/2011 15:47

Hi everyone, feeling ok today, been out and bought some new decorations and some for Scarlett too along with a small tree. Planning on taking them tomorrow after the hospital in the morning to put them up for her. It's an odd feeling at the moment. We think she died overnight or in the morning of the 2nd, we didn't know for sure until we went in though and had the scan, I think that was early afternoon. So either way it's tomorrow, I'm not quite sure how I feel at the moment,

Blue off to post your parcel soon, I went to the post office yesterday to do it and it was closed, then realised it was Wednesday afternoon doh. So, I'll be popping out shortly to get it done.

Mel hope your scan goes well

too my next scan is the 6th, Scarlett's birthday, should be an interesting one! Good luck for yours x

razz good luck for tomorrow, hope your scan goes well

ciwi hope you're ok, pains are always worrying. Have you been checked over?

fan OCS sounds like it was fab, glad you enjoyed it :)

angel enjoy the Christmas markets, I love them, tempted by the Birmingham one if I can manage it!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 01/12/2011 19:13

Angel, so sorry for your sister.

Fan, yay for the new flat! Finally! It will be so nice to get into your own house after all this time living with your parents. Perfect for baby-making! Wink

Cheese, take it easy tomorrow. Sending you and your family lots of love.

Ciwi, how are you? Did the pains subside?

We were going to take Thea a holly wreath soon - funny how the idea of Christmas decorations comes to us all. DH took her stone down yesterday and set it up without telling me (I didn't even notice it wasn't in the living room any more!) and then drove me down to see it in the afternoon. I think it is lovely. There's still space for the little clump of cyclamen PIL planted last time they were up, plus a spot for a vase of flowers, and we'll be able to plant more flowers around the edges.

Bluetinkerbell · 01/12/2011 19:37

Too take a pic tomorrow please? would be lovely to see the stone it is rightful place!

angel give your sister a hug from me! oh and happy birthday! have some Wine

cheese thinking of you! you've got a few difficult days coming now! x

fan looks like we'll both be moving house soon! new house, new baby for both of us Wink

I'm on CD39 and have had 3 days of high temperatures, let's hope they stay high for the next 9 months!

OP posts:
TooImmature2BDumbledore · 01/12/2011 20:01

I'll take one on Saturday, Blue - won't be able to visit tomorrow as going out for first work Christmas do. It is awful how many new baby graves there have been since April. Thea was the last in the row for months and then in the last 2 or 3 months there have been about 4 new ones, one of which is twins. Sad

FX for your temperatures!

Have just been reading the live labour thread in Pregnancy and am jealous, weirdly, of women who get to have exciting non-medicalised labours. I kind of wish that I could go into labour naturally the day before my ELCS and have Bean in the car on the way in, so that I would get to do it naturally but not have time to panic. I know second labours are supposed to be fast, but not that fast, and the chances of going into labour before 37 weeks are pretty slim. I still don't think I can cope with induction, so I am not going to ask for that. I suppose if I do go into labour naturally I could always give it a go...

Bluetinkerbell · 01/12/2011 20:06

do you mean nickel's thread? I know her from the prayer thread! :)

Hope you enjoy yourself at your Xmas do! Looking forward to the picture!
Yes it is sad seeing baby graves!
Where Sterre is buried there are 2 graves of little sisters... one was stillborn, the other a few months old... so sad!

ciwi · 01/12/2011 20:12

Hi everyone,
Pains settled down and have now gone thank god. I kind of knew they didn't feel like anything serious but it's worrying all the same. The midwife thinks it's round ligament pain so on the plus side is another sign that this little man is growing really well. Been in work all day today so didn't get chance to post earlier.
fan great news about the flat, how exciting x
blue hope the high temps continue for you x
angel happy birthday x
too some people just don't know how lucky they are with their straightforward pregnancies. I would like a normal delivery too but not sure if I can achieve it. The consultant doesn't want me to go overdue so I will probably end up being induced anyway and that's best case scenario, will probably be a section if any sign of pre eclampsia before then. As long as he is ok though none of that matters but I understand you feeling jealous x
cheese I will be thinking of you tomorrow, I found the anniversary of ciarans death harder to cope with than his birthday. I hope tomorrow passes ok for you x

AngelGeorgie · 01/12/2011 21:13

Thanks .too, Blue & Jane my sister is ok . Just wants to get in & get to theatre.
Cheese the Birmingham Market is good but incredibly busy & full of pickpockets so if you go be careful.
Blue fingers crossed for you. Xc
Cheese hugs for tomorrow xx
We re off to *Georgie's" spot soon to lay some flowers for Georgie & with Xmas approaching.

Love to all xxx

razzdazz · 01/12/2011 22:59

Hi all, quickly sneaking on while at work so apologies if I miss anyone
angel happy birthday to you happy birthday to you.......Thanks
cheese my thoughts are with you tomorrow. I also brought some little xmas decorations for Thomas's grave today.
fan so pleased you are finally going to be moving into your flat
too the thing that makes me so sad when I visit the cemetry is all the neglected baby graves, there are so many.
My midwife came to see me at home today. I had called to have a chat freak out about lack of movement so she paid me a visit and we heard little man's strong beating heart straight away. She really was so nice about it.
Hello to everyone else, must dash, patients to see!!

janedoe25 · 02/12/2011 08:16

cheese I hope you have a peaceful weekend, I am thinking of you and Scarlett today. I will light a candle for her tonight. Hugs to you and your family. Sleep tight baby Scarlett xx

AugustMoon · 02/12/2011 11:21

Morning ladies. Happy birthday for yesterday angel, sorry to hear about yr sis

fan yay for new home!
blue Yay for high temps... I've got a positive feeling about you this month, when will you test?
ciwi glad yr pains have settled, and razz what a relief that must have been to hear lo's heart beat. Great that yr midwife was understanding.
No major news here, wee still smells like man wee ciwi! Grin DH has snapped out of his mood, think he had a bit of man-flu and needed a good night's sleep. DS2 had his nativity play this morning, soooo sweet. He was a narrator, v proud mum here.

janedoe25 · 02/12/2011 14:35

Angel sorry I forgot to wish you a happy birthdayBlush hope you had a nice day? Hope everything goes well for your sister today.Sad

August and blue fingers are firmly crossed for you both, when are cracking out the pee sticks?

Think it has hit me today that I'm still not pg, it seems to be taking a lifetime, I honestly thought I would be pg already as we conceived Zoe first try of the first cycle. I have spent the day on bed but I'm up now as i am collecting my nephew from nursery today, he always makes me Smile.

MelMal · 02/12/2011 15:43

Cheese hugs to you. Never forgotten xx
Angel know what your sisters going through. Hope she didn't have to wait all day.
Hi everyone else. Sorry am being v lazy today as have sore head and am going for wee snooze. Maybe catch up later x

razzdazz · 02/12/2011 16:36

Hi all,
angel sorry, I don't no how I missed the news about your sister. Hope things went as well as they could with the op and that she is coping ok.
jane sorry that you are still waiting for a BFP and feeling so down about it. I guess you had all the excitment surrounding your wonderful wedding to help take your mind off for a while. I really do hope that you and all the other ladies waiting are blessed with those two lines soon xx
ciwi glad you are more relaxed at the moment
august how lovely to watch your sons nativity and no wonder you are proud. Really makes it feel like xmas.
Sending love and hugs to cheese
Have had my scan today and all is looking well. Was so pleased that I cried which made my mum cry and then the sonographer joined in as well. They confirmed baby is defo the blue variety......I actually went and brought a little pack of vests and babygrows from next in a moment of braveness.
Wishing you all a nice weekend Xmas Smile

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 02/12/2011 16:44

Yay for a blue baby, Razz! So pleased everything is looking good. Grin at bravely buying babygrows - I did that after the amnio result came back!

Cheese, thinking of you - hope today has gone as well as possible.

Happy Birthday, Angel! Hope it's a better one than last year.

Jane, your time will come. FX that it is this month! Agree with Razz that the wedding prep probably took your mind off it a bit and now it's all come down on you like a ton of bricks. Sad.

August, Blue and Fan, also FX for this month - when are you cracking out the pee sticks, Blue?

Am supposed to be getting ready for my work Christmas do (one of them, anyway!) I better get up and get changed. Have a nice night, everyone!

AugustMoon · 02/12/2011 16:52

Hi too, have fun at your Xmas do.
Congratulations, a little boy. So glad all looks well Xmas Smile

AugustMoon · 02/12/2011 16:54

Sorry, 2nd bit was meant for razz Xmas Confused

CheeseandGherkins · 02/12/2011 18:31

Thank you all, I'm feeling ok so far, which is odd as I didn't expect to. Quite tired and drained though. We went to see Scarlett and put some Christmas decorations up along with a small tree.

Off to sort some food and more tea now I think. Planning on a nice quiet night, watching a film, once the dcs are in bed later. xx

Bluetinkerbell · 02/12/2011 22:17

cheese been thinking about you today! well done for getting through today... hang in there! we're all here for you over the next few days! x

too not cracking the pee sticks just yet... maybe Monday if temps stay up, or Wednesday...
would definitely like a BFP before having to move heavy stuff Wink

razz yay for the blue variety! Grin

jane same here! Sterre was also conceived on first cycle of trying after stopping the pill!

august how lovely about the nativity! DD is practising her Xmas songs all the time, they have a Christmas performance at playgroup, I made DH take the morning off and took the morning off myself too!

just had a nice chat with my Dsis. She is currently on CD46, she's only stopped taking the pill just before their wedding in July, so very new to trying... I'm on CD40, so it seems long cycles run in the family... She needed some advice, her DH told her not to test yet as he thinks it's too early... I suggested we test on the same day Wink
Would be lovely to be pregnant together with her! Means my parents can fuss over her baby and I will have peace and quiet Grin
I had a mini-temp dip this morning, but I'm on 6DPO, so could possibly be implantation dip, hopefully temps go back up in the morning! Fx

No chance of a lie in tomorrow... :( DD is invited to birthday party from 9am-11am and it's half an hours drive away! will be getting up early!
