Well, hopefully that has got it- took ages today - apparently adding 3 is beyond me!
Anyway, feeling v miserable at the moment. Would appreciate some advice and comment from the rest of you:
Month 1 CBFM: 1st stick D6, High D10, Peak D19/20, Cycle 32d
Month 2 CBFM: Ist stick D9, High D10, Peak D 22/23, Cycle 34d
Month 3 CBFM: 1st stick D9, no highs or peaks, Cycle 59d - stressful month
Month 4 CBFM: 1st stick D9, high D10, Peak D23/24, Cycle 35d, temps and cm confirmed ovulation on D24. Period light for me.
Month 5 CBFM: Have started aspirin, otherwise no change, no stress, but no high. Spoke to helpline - they said that 1st line is oestragen line and that is what dictates low to high, 2nd line in LH - indicates high to peak and ovualtion.
My temps are low ( I know it is early) but starting to get worried that I might be heading for another anovulatory cycle.
Seeing GP Tuesday, Hubby has done his sample, We will be trying a year at the end of April (anovulatory and long cycles make it 10 cycles). GP will refer on, but wondering if there was anything I am missing.
DId anyone else have funny readings a few months in and still ovulate??
Anyone taken aspirin and had odd results?
Is luteal phase adequate??
Comments please - am really miserable Sad

xx

Ugh.. Still no sign of AF, but I did POAS this morning and my imagination thought it saw SOMETHING there, but Im pretty sure I was just TRYING to see something and that there was nothing there at all. I am wondering if its still too early to test positive for me. I think I ovulated around CD22. The machine only read 4 days of high, no peak, but I had EWCM on day 21 and 22 of the high reading. It could take a few days after that for fertilization after that, then 6-12 days to implant then even a bit longer to produce enough HCG to be read by a test.. hmmm I hope its just too early. I am never late. I should have had AF on CD32 and Im on CD35.. Sorry for the rambling I am just going crazy :(

fr00tbat · 21/04/2011 17:55

Thanks Boba - how you getting along by the way??
Haven't seen KC for a while, hope all ok......

Yes not bad fr00bat, 20 weeks tomorrow so looking forward to next scan. KC is defo still around, think she has been busy with new job but I'm sure she'll be able to answer your questions!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 21/04/2011 20:03

Hi all

fr00tbat I know how frustrating it is - my cycles have been quite similar up until finally being given some interventions. I would wait and see what the test results and any referrals throw up before starting any self-medications. It would be wrong for anyone to make any suggestions on what could or could not be going on at this time. Best thing is to just keep swi every other day - and of course on any peaks that come up in the mean time.

SBCx

Keziahhopes · 21/04/2011 23:30

Frootbat - no idea am afraid, but know KC will have some fab answers. On a positive you have a good gp there, as most gp's will not do anything, including any tests until 12mths ttc if under 35 - so some hope there. Has Gp done the basic blood tests for you - especially the thyroid and prolactin ones, as problems there can be the reason or a reason.

I am having a down time - it is sunny and due to the left sided weakness and lack of being able to walk can't do much and fell like just piling on the weight and my house is really getting me down as I can't do all the jobs I put off with ivf time of rest etc.

fr00tbat · 22/04/2011 19:12

Yes Keziah, basic bloods and USS done - have ovarian cysts but normal bloods, but cycles so variable and periods lighter than they were on the pill!! Worried.
Damn machine still reading low, having some Pimms (with a lot of lemonade!) and trying not to stress too much.
Down time sounds necessary....... be good.

ElmMum · 23/04/2011 14:00

Afternoon all, hope you're all having good days and getting some sunshine.

I am feeling fairly sunny today as I got a peak reading on the CBFM this morning and DH and I managed to dtd last night and the night before. And I had (sorry, TMI) EWCM yesterday. However, this does mean I'm going to have to manage my expectations massively because I'm already thinking about names and what starsign a Jan baby would be, despite 3 cycles of disappointment already...

Fingers crossed though, and I'll have to make sure DH is good for another couple of goes tonight and tomorrow. Right, definitely TMI...

Happy easter all x

fr00tbat · 25/04/2011 08:57

Oh my..... A high....... Shocked, nice easter pressie.....

ElmMum · 25/04/2011 10:29

Here's to lots of highs and peaks over easter... maybe the extra holidays and the sunny weather will do their thing and we'll all be updiffed before we know it. FX

boba82 · 25/04/2011 19:29

you'll be busy tonight then fr00bat?! [buwink]

OP posts:
sunshine0 · 26/04/2011 17:40

I was helpfully pointed over here to seek your advice. I have 2 children and have never used in the past ovulation predictor kits. my cycles vary between 25 -32 days. I had 1 24 day cycle last year.

Having used the CBFM for the first time this month I got several highs and 2 peaks on the 16th and 17th. AF however arrived today. If it takes 24-36 hours to ovulate after a peak reading then even with taking the 1st peak date I suspect i did not ovulate until the 17th at the earliest. This would mean that this month there was only 8 days between ovulation and AF arriving. Could this be a 1 off or should I get some medical advice. Im 39 so dont want to delay. I dont want to panic either (although not doing a great job of keeping calm).

If it helps I have medical insurance cover so could see a fertility/ivf consultant for fertility investigations quite quickly. What do you think? What would you do?

thanks

fr00tbat · 26/04/2011 18:20

Damn right Boba - Peak today........... stuff the gardening Wink!!!!

ElmMum · 26/04/2011 20:06

sunshine - I don't really know the answer but didn't want you to be ignored.

From what I've read, it takes a couple of cycles for the CBFM to settle in. I'm only on my second cycle with it. The first time I got about 5 days of highs before a peak, this time round just a couple of highs before a peak. So maybe it's a bit out.

On the other hand, if you're worried, I'd go and see the doc. I'm 39 too and it's a tough decision knowing when to just let things work themselves out and when to seek help.

Good luck x

Hi ladies

just thought i would check in and say hi. nice to see lots of peaks over the easter weekend....always a bit more fun when the sun is shining and not under pressure to get up [babymaking sex was never romantic for me and mine was the snow weekend in december LOL]!!!

hows things kezia is there any formal diagnosis with what happened? i hope you are getting better.

im doing ok, about 21 weeks now, huge already. its a boy which is exciting. boobs are killing me, spent entire easter weekend watching other people drinking...all good fun!

keep on shagging everyone xxx

KnackeredCow · 27/04/2011 13:35

Hi Everyone. Just catching up on thread as been away for Easter and was working last weekend, so yes I am definitely still around.

Keziah What awful news. Do they know what happened to you or what the cause was yet if not a stroke? Take care of yourself and I hope that you are recovering now. Sorry to hear you are feeling down. I always feel low when my house gets in a mess. Have you thought about maybe getting a cleaner in as a one off given that you aren't too well at the moment? Although an expense that you'd rather do without, as a one-off it can help your sanity massively. A few years ago when I got quite depressed, and lived on my own, the housework really piled up. As I travelled a lot during the week I couldn't do it then and had to do it at the weekend, which meant I became isolated from my friends and really lonely. My mum suggested I got a cleaning agency in. I think I paid something like £39 for two cleaners for 1.5 hours (3 hours total) and they blitzed my house from top to bottom. I know it is quite expensive, but if it makes you feel better, then as a one off it could be money very well spent. Just a thought, it made a big difference to me.

Resetting my stats as AF got me again Sad

Fr00tbat I've just read your post. I'm stumped too. It seems that you are ovulating, but having the occassional anovulatory cycle. I think a referral from you GP to a specialist is probably the best way forward for you now. Sorry I've not been much help.

Hello to all the newbies here! [KC waves]
