keziah I hope you are feeling better!
Hello everyone, I am losing my mind with anticipation! I am on day 30 of usually a 32 day cycle. The wait is killing me.. I hope, hope, hope AF doesnt show up!

Keziahhopes · 16/04/2011 18:09

Thanks all... scary week:
collapsed, gp called ambulance.
Then in resus, then in HDU, then on acute stroke ward where I msg'd from. But good news is speech and sight back, gone from no movement on left side to wobbling about and can move arm a bit! Seen and done lots of OT work - and physio.

Not what one was expecting. Not stroke but some similar thing - see stroke specialists in outpatients and home now!!!!

So 2 weeks off work now, as Easter - missed end of term.

Anyone doing anything nice over Easter?

fr00tbat · 16/04/2011 18:28

@Kezia - Pleased to hear you are home, for god's sake take it easy and look after yourself,

Thanks for hugs, had a pity party for self yesterday - picked myself up today (well did fall down stairs yesterday!) Suspected stroke, but not - but left sided weakness that means can't be left right now. No idea why!! I am 36. xx

ElmMum · 18/04/2011 09:54

Keziah hope you're okay. Sounds horrible and dramatic.

Bit more info for my stats. We're on cycle 4 and I'm 39 (but wishing I was 34...). UCL is 30/31.

Hope it's sunny where you all are :)

littlefan · 18/04/2011 10:52

Keziah take care of yourself!!! What a shock - I hope you are ok.

Felt ridiculously optimistic this morning and took a test - well it was CD 41 and AF should have shown up by now....Negative - obviously!
Then literally 10 minutes later AF showed up!!!! Talk about messing with my head...Back to day one for me! Hope the rest of you have been luckier!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 18/04/2011 13:25

Hi all. Just checking in - have been suffering with the sore boobs for over a week and weepiness for a couple of days - then today I have spotting and mild cramping - it is only day 25 - never ever had such a short cycle - hormones seriously winding me up at moment. Am hoping this is implantation but really I know it isn't! Does suggest that I was right with an early OV this month - gives me a proper 14 day LP, so perhaps I am now normal and it will all be plain sailing from here..............

Keziah hope they work out what is wrong soon, take care of yourself

SBCx

littlefan · 18/04/2011 14:03

SlightlyBabyCrazed I know how you are feeling I had a 26 day cycle last month and thought finally things might be more "normal" but it was followed by a ridiculously long 40 dayer....fingers crossed you are on a totally different path to me....good luck..xxxxx

Fr00tbat - yup the witch got me good - proper evil trickery this time....

jayebird · 18/04/2011 17:10

Hello everyone! :) littlefan thank you :) AF is due to rear her ugly head today.. so far nothing. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am never late, it always comes exactly on day 32. So far so good, but I live in Canada so its still only 9am lol. I have felt kind of differet this month, but I am not going to get my hopes up.. normally my breasts are extremely sore before AF and I turn into an extremely grumpy beast and this time around my breasts feel puffy and tingly and I have been weeping like a baby at silly commercials, tv shows, magazine articles, things people say, songs..thats not usual for me so hopefully thats a sign! I also had 2 dizzy spells yesterday and just feel a little queasy. I did eat junk food like a beast this weekend so the nausea could be from that. I hope you are all well. Wish me luck!

boba82 · 18/04/2011 18:38

Oooh good luck jayebird are you going to POAS tomorrow?

OP posts:
hairylights · 18/04/2011 18:39

Hi can anyone help? Second month of using the cbfm and it's asked me to poas on day 6 and given me a "peak" Confused.

I ovulate on day fourteen.

hairylights · 18/04/2011 18:40

Or maybe a high (two bars no egg)

jayebird · 19/04/2011 00:47

I havent decided if I will POAS yet or not.. because i the time when I think I ovulated (EWCM but no peak, just high) was later than it should have and I am worried it wont show a positive yet because implantation may have just barely occured :S.. Im feeling kind of blah all day today but am determined to not get excited because it hurts all the more if AF arrives.. the suspense is killing me!

hairylights 2 lines no egg is a high reading.. I started POAS on day 6 of my first CBFM and didnt get a high until day 21. you might be one of those women who ovulate at an unexpected time.. the booklet says pregnancy is possible during a high although on first CBFM cycle some women get a high for a couple of weeks.. mine was 4 days. I did not get a peak, but I have heard that the LH surge can be as short as 12 hours which means i could have missed it with the machine.

Its possible you will ovulate earlier this month if youre already reading high. What day did you get your high last month? The machine should have got to know you last month cycle and known that your high should be around now.. that might be why it has asked you to pee on day 6 again.. hmmmm

hairylights · 19/04/2011 07:28

Hi thanks for that. I always get high around day 11 and lh on day 14 Confused

MiniH · 19/04/2011 07:33

Back to the starting line for me Sad. have made an appointment at gp as it has now been 12 months and am getting a little worried. It's almost a four week wait though for the appointment - I know there's a lot of holidays at the moment but wow that's a long wait! my period seems to be getting lighter with every month so am concerned that may be why things are not happening as it's barely 24 hours now which just doesn't seem enough to sustain a little bean.

ElmMum · 19/04/2011 08:59

MiniH good luck with the appointment. I read on another thread somewhere about phoning to see if you can get a cancellation i.e. if someone else cancels, they slot you in sooner. Might be worth a try?

It's so difficult, TTC, isn't it. I spend a LOT of time thinking about my body - what does that twinge mean, does that mean I'm menopausal (I'm 39!) or pregnant?? I never thought TTC number 2 would be like this. It makes me really sad and has taken all the pleasure out of the possibility of being pregnant. Each month that goes by I just feel sadder and sadder, and less and less confident... and OLDER!!!

I think I should make an appointment with the doc but I'm kind of dragging my heels because that makes it all a bit too real and that feels like the start of a process that I can't yet believe applies to me, IYKWIM.

Right, I need to cheer the f up and get on with the day. Sorry for the me me post. Hope you're all having a better day! :)

boba82 · 19/04/2011 10:08

Sorry to hear that mini I agree with elm let them know you'll take a cancellation.

OP posts:
Keziahhopes · 19/04/2011 19:59

Sorry to hear that MiniH - yes times at Gp's right now are long waits due to Bank Holidays and Dr's taking holidays! However it may be worth waiting to see a good Gp. I saw a Gp to ask for help recently - as discharged from stroke ward with no physiotherapy help and I can't walk or be left alone - and the very useless Gp I saw as emergency said "what do you expect me to do and don't expect your husband to get you help it is up to you!" Mm, well he had to drive me to Gp's as I can't walk, let alone drive and I had fallen over and down the stairs that day, so he couldn't leave me and in hospital right until discharge I had to have 2 staff to take me to the toilet. Anyway all she would do is give me a few tablets for the distress I had (uh, she caused me to cry not being able to walk or work or use my left arm actually!!) So am seeing my Gp next week (begged for asap and that was pushing me in) for some real help, but in meantime Gp (mine not useless lady I saw) has sorted out urgent phsyio assessment for me.

I tell you my tale to say sometimes waiting to see a Gp you may gain time further down the process. And my nice Gp has just agreed to fund more tests as my IVF didn't work. They cost lots privately - even though they will take longer to have.

Oh - and to cheer you up, Choccie got a natural bfp after 19 months, so don't give up hope.

jayebird · 20/04/2011 01:24

Still no AF! Im too afraid to get my hopes up! Felt waves of nausea today and some light headedness... I think Ill just keep waiting ..

MiniH · 20/04/2011 07:55

Gosh Keziah, it really does put it into context when I read what you are going through - you really are not having an easy time of it. make sure you take care of yourself.

Thanks boba and elmmum - hadn't thought of that but will give it a go.

ElmMum - I know what you mean about taking the pleasure out of it. I see so many people have such an easy time of it and wish it could be that simple for us, but then I've also got a friend who just had to terminate for abnormalities and that was so traumatic (and I remember how jealous I was as they conceived so easily) - but then I also know that I am 100% ready for this and so is dh and in some ways it has brought us closer as we talk about the disappointment now, so it's not all bad. I would say make the appointment if you are anything like me as it helps to know I'm doing something about it.

Jayebird - will keep everything crossed that the Easter bunny brings you a bfp!

Loup23 · 20/04/2011 08:35

Checking in from sunny france to put myself at CD1! I shall be enjoying some drinks in the sun and waiting for next 'peak'! Hopefully cycle is back to normalish after the mc (althought got to CD37 this time!). Please can someone put me at the bottom if the stats are updated? (Can't do on the mobile!).

Hi to all newbies, good luck. Hope you're looking after yourself keziah. Good luck to 2wws, hope for BFPs very soon x
