hippychick66 · 13/06/2011 13:00

Wow Bb I'm about 8 days post ov too. We will just have to wait and see. Yes I think implantation every month too - haha Grin We are very in-sync this month arn't we?

BeattieBow · 13/06/2011 14:16

so when shall we do our positive pregnancy tests then Hippy? next Sunday I'm thinking...

hippychick66 · 13/06/2011 14:43

Yes that sounds good, cycle buddy Grin

hippychick66 · 13/06/2011 16:18

damn these BiscuitBiscuits. They are feeling very Dolly Parton-ish and I swore I would never let them fool me or trick me again.

Why am I such a feckin' optimist? It's probably just the clomid......Hmm....

hopefulgum · 14/06/2011 00:19

Ohh, very excited hippy and Beattie. When do you think you'll bring out the pee sticks??? Could it be sooner than next Sunday? Like maybe Friday? Would that be too soon?

Oh Tina you poor thing!I hope your DH doesn't tease you too much. Mine would milk it for all its worth!

Lou - very smart thinking about the mat clothes, as they are only temporary but I like any excuse to get new clothes! I also get rather large when pregnant unfortunately, so I'd have to wear men's XXXL to cover the bump! It looks a bit better if I wear something more maternity and stretchy. I hated all the comments I got last time : "Are you sure there's only one?" "You must be having twins", "Is there a giant in there?" and other similar awful comments. One woman at work used to delight in saying to me "Oh My God, you are HUGE" about 15 times a day. I wanted to kill the bi**h by the time I left! My body has stretched out so much from having 5 other babies I suppose and I show rather early and just keep growing. But not complaining.

Feeling both excited and apprehensive about the scan tomorrow. Just want everything to be alright.

hippychick66 · 14/06/2011 08:58

my husband has the worst combination of personality traits - he has high standards and likes everything done just so, BUT he is also lazy. Meaning he likes me to do everything just so!!! arrgh Angry He had better have gotten me pregnant this month I tell you Wink

Temp was high again this morning, not as high as yesterday but still higher than normal LP - don't know whether that counts as triphasic, will just have to wait and see. BB has this happened before to you when you've been on clomid. I'm wondering if it's the drugs that are doing it and I'm trying to keep my mind from wondering if we've been successful..... (Hippy heads for a giant fall AGAIN!)

TinaO99 · 14/06/2011 09:26

gum of course he's milking it lol, feeling all excited this morning as it's my appointment at the care fertility clinic this afternoon - I've had all the tests I could do on the NHS and I'm also on the verge of ovulating today/tomorrow, would be interesting to know if this shows up somehow on the scan?!

I'm hoping they decide to give me clomid or something to give me a kick start, feeling very optimistic this morning, really feels like things are getting moving - with all thats happened to us in the last 8 months or so this would be the icing on the cake for me if I was to get pregnant, I would be 100% happy with my life

hope everyone else is ok - hippy good luck with your test, may be joining you in the clomid club shortly!

beautiful day here for a change just wish I was outside instead of sat in stuffy office!

have a good day ladies Grin

BeattieBow · 14/06/2011 09:30

I'd be surprised if I got a bfp gum - but will try to wait to test until the w/e. I'm only 8 dpo today and haven't had early bfps before. i will wait for the oh so familiar cramping to start first.

Best of luck for tomorrow's scan. I think it will be fine this time. x

(up at 4am again. grr. am exhausted. )

BeattieBow · 14/06/2011 09:32

sorry my post crossed with eveyone elses. hippy I haven't temped before while on clomid, so don't know. Mine was also high this morning, despite doing it at 4am. But I am on progesterone so that may explain that.

tina good luck at the clinic, hope they do give you clomid! I'm not sure what it does if you are already ovulating, but don't think it can harm!

spottysox · 14/06/2011 11:09

Hello ladies, its been ages since I was last on, damn laptop broke, been busting to get on i've been keeping up as best I could on ds's school tablet, but too scared to post incase the school found out. Anyway sooo much has happened
Huge congrats to Tank not long now Smile
Lou(Angel) and Diege huge congrats to you two bump buddies as well, glad to hear all is going well and half way already Smile
Hippy BB - druggy buddies really hope this is your month you both deserve a BFP after all the effort you've put into this ttc malarchy
Hippy well done on the house sale you must be getting very excited now about your big move
Gum Another on the bench congrats and good luck for your scan, it's amazing how feeling awful with MS can make you soo happy isn't it. How do you find the time to make your own maternity clothes you clever woman you.
Itallian the lady of calm - you seem so at peace with yourself at the moment it seems like things are clicking into place for you I really hope a BFP and a healthy little baby complete your happiness Smile
Lol don't know if we've 'met' before but have to say you are an inspiration
the way you've handled your plonker of a dp(ex) is brilliant, you sound a very strong lady and I hope he realises what a twat he's been and what he's lost.

Curly hope all's well with you , I don't think giving up alcohol etc makes that much of a difference to ttc it just makes life more stressful which is bad so it sort of cancels out IYSWIM Smile
Tina don't think we've met before but goode luck with your appointment you sound very +ve

Hello to shandy panashe and anyone else i've missed.

Cor this is an epic but anyway if you've got this far my news well I'm well and truly upduffed 15wks, scans look good and feeling grand. Got a BFP at 10DPO and due beginning of Dec (all being well) had scan at 8 wks due to MC's very scared but all was good. Saw the consultant last week due to being old he was shocked it was planned and a bit negative really (sod him)
But because I'm of an age I get the sort of care I would have liked with my other pregs ie scans every 4wks and see him or a MW at the same time.
SmileGrinSmileGrin
Well that's it from me for now I'll be around more now with my new swish computer (touch screen you know)
Take care all
Love spotty

TinaO99 · 14/06/2011 12:11

nice to meet you spotty and congrats!! D'you mind my asking if you went down the assisted route and how old you are? Sorry to be so intrusive but i love hearing positive stories of pregnancies over 40! :-)

TinaO99 · 14/06/2011 12:12

oh and thanks beattie Grin

TTTonTour · 14/06/2011 12:28

aww Spotty - that's fabulous news

Was having a little nose on the conception main board the other day... and noticed a thread called something like... how long did it take you.... and was very surprised and heartened at how many older ladies' pregnancies there were, and also, how long it took some of the wee young things to get pg too.... which just shows you, it's not just our being ancient.

Fingers and toes crossed for you tomorrow Gum

Here's hoping that hippy and BB 's high temps are signs of baby beans

Love and air kisses to all xx

hippychick66 · 14/06/2011 13:42

GrinGrinGrin Spotty you little dark horse. Well done. I wish i could come on and say i was 15 weeks - it seems so far along. Hopefully all the scary stuff is behind you. Don't be a stranger now!

tina good luck for the appointment. They should be able to see your lovely egg on the screen if you are about to ov - i think!

tank how long 'til we get to hear all about fidget's arrival???

Curlylox · 14/06/2011 13:48

Congrats spotty it's lovely to hear good news and yes how old are you?

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 14/06/2011 14:41

what a cheek from your cons - shocked it was planned - as you say sod him!

i remember telling the little old lady down the road that I was pregnant when I was 43 (before the MMC) and she said "Ahhh, did you want it?" It was very funny (probably lost in translation). i think she felt sorry for me getting caught out at my age Grin

AngelGeorgie · 14/06/2011 19:57

Spotty huge congratsGrin xx

Curlylox · 14/06/2011 20:46

Ok I have taken my head out of the shed, got my arse off the rocking chair and get over myself to join the land of feisty fabulous forty something women. Want to say a big thank you to italian for your concerned post re my migraines. Use to suffer with them before I had dd then nothing until the last couple of months, they're slowly creeping back, however am diarising when I get them, what I ate etc. Good luck gum with your scan and you too lou aka angel. Fingers crossed for hippy and bb. Tina sorry but your post about your evening out with dh made me giggle. Also please let us know how you get on at fertility clinic. Diege I take it the hyperemesis has passed? Shandy ((((((())))))) TTT please keep us posted and when is fidget due? Panashe how did your dd 16th birthday bbq go and have you settled in to your new home and unpacked all the boxes? Lol how goes it with you, has ex dp tried to make amends? Waves hello to fireflies and jolls and anyone else I may have missed.
Update on me, dh had another sperm analysis, result normal - odd as first one was low. AMH test (ovarian reserve) was satisfactory level - consultant said good considering my age. Looking to have a laparoscopy early next month just after af has finished. Anyone had a laparoscopy, would appreciate your experience? Have been drinking wine, coffee, swi/swoi and generally just trying to relax about the whole ttc business. Good friend of mine celebrated her 40th the other weekend and I let my hair down but boy did I pay for it the next day.........all in the name of fun Grin

lolfactor · 14/06/2011 22:41

Hiya Curly - lovely to hear from you. Sounds like a large glass of vino was just what you needed. Really good news about dh's count. And your ovarian reserve. So jealous! No idea whatsover about laparoscopy, I'm afraid. Wish I could have one. I've always wanted to have a good old nose around in there. Spotty thanks for saying hi. Sounds like it's all been happening around your neck of the woods. Really pleased for you. 15 weeks sounds amazing. Exdp is often 'around' at work, and asking me into the office for cups of tea and chats. We're supposed to be going to Florence for 4 days in July. Neither of us wants to give it up. We booked it after I whinged about him going to South Africa for two weeks in the summer with Little Miss Stunning. To change the name on the ticket will cost £300 - and we're both thinking of going as friends. I know, I know. What the hell am I thinking? He just wants a bonk with a sad cow who's going to say yes. Note to self: get real and move on.

Hippy start packing. You're making me nervous. How long is it now? Have you cancelled the papers? You'll have no time (or inclination) when you're upduffed and become a pregnant space cadet.

Loads of love to Fireflies TTT (wicked sense of humour) Lou BB Shandy Panashe Italian Jolls Diege et al. It's lovely following your stories. Got to tell you. Met this GORGEOUS looking man on the dating website and got 'chatting'. He sounded just too good to be true. Sure enough, after a few minutes he said he had to 'go and let the pigeons out'. God, will I ever find someone normal?

Italiangreyhound · 14/06/2011 23:15

lol I wonder if letting the pigeons out might be a euphemism!? Tried Googling that but all I got was this www.amazon.co.uk/Dont-Let-Pigeon-Drive-Bus/dp/1844285138 Ha ha!

spottysox thank s for your kind comments, I do feel quite calm. Smile

Curley thanks for mentioning me, how are the migraines now. Wink

Shandy hugs to you

Tina, what a wonderful story but so glad I was not in the restaurant when you did your party trick!

Hippy - hope that Mr Hippy shapes up when you make your big move. Maybe a new place will bring out a new man! I know what it means to have a disaster hubby at times, mine is great with some stuff but also bloomin? annoying at times too!

Panshe how are the wedding plans going. How are you coming to terms with your sad bereavement Sad, be kind to yourself it takes time.

TTT I continue to look in on your blog, even if I don?t always comment.

Angelgeorgie, Diege, and Gum hope all is well and hope all continues well.

Mitzimaybe, Jolls, 1000fireflies, FF, BB, and Nicole - how goes it going? And to all - baby dust and hugs.

Regarding maternity clothes I heard a good point from someone a long time ago, get them all in one colour so they go with each other (e.g. all navy!). I saved all my old stuff from when I got size 18 clothes (I was not technically a size 16 but often strayed into size 18!) and my hope is the smaller I get the more maternity clothes I will accrue!

I?m still watching the skating. www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=655414694 Isn?t he gorgeous? Yes I know he is gay but he is so lovely.

Programme on about atrocities in Sri Lanka, want to watch it to know what happened but don't want to know. The world can be a very cruel place. In the light of the terrible things in the world I do feel quite at peace myself, but yes very sad for the rest of the world.

Still no news of a donor.

Eating habits getting better. My colleague sent my confidential email about my eating problems to a couple of other colleagues by accident! Luckily I had shared about it in a work related meeting (all relevant though I know it does not sound it).

Hugs t all.

Italiangreyhound · 14/06/2011 23:19

Well, I should say he looks gay but I think he is gorgeous, and I should say I was a size sixteen, not sure where that not came from!

hopefulgum · 14/06/2011 23:41

Yay, Spotty! Huge congratulations - 15 weeks already - has it been that long since you were last here??? I can't wait to get that far. At least I am 7+5 - wasn't all that confident that I'd make it this far, but I'm feeling a bit more confident now. Today will be a long day - it's still about 8 hours til I have the scan! Hope you got the chopper filled up with fuel....

I hope Jollster is okay - we haven't seen her round these parts for ages. I might try pm-ing her.

I'll be back later with all the news from the scan.

AngelGeorgie · 15/06/2011 07:12

Good luck Gum xxWink
Jolls is fine . She facebooked me yesterday . Said she doesn't make it on to here much.

nicole333 · 15/06/2011 09:12

Morning All!

I can't keep up with this thread, so just popped on to wish Gum luck. By my reckoning you should have had the scan by now!!

Big love to everyone else. Sorry I'm so crap at this thread stuff.

My cycle ended up being something like 43 days!! This is the first time it's ever happened. But I charted through it (temp taking was too erratic!) and I probably OV'd really late. So my luteal face remained the same. I don't know why it happened as I'm really getting a grip on every day stress. Ahh well.

Sorry again. Wishing you all good vibes xx

nicole333 · 15/06/2011 09:13

Luteal face???? wtf?!! Grin
