panashe · 10/06/2011 16:22

Thanks hippy, well I had shooting pains all down right leg but that was house move related Grin

Shooting pains up your girly bits, could be that something is going on in there..

hippychick66 · 10/06/2011 16:25

It is a bit early for it to be anything exciting happening I think. I mentioned it to DH who mearly said, "Isn't it time we had sex again? Have we passed the important days this month?"

Thanks so much DH, just what I need at the moment (argghhh men are rubbish face)

shandybass · 10/06/2011 18:59

What a cheery comment panashe but sorry it doesn't look like you're month. Had you tested, long cycle or something to think it may be a mc?

hippy sorry about your pains, sounds a bit odd, but no ideas here.

Had a rubbish week myself, got by but still teary and short tempered. My friend has suggested I ask for time off work as although being at home with dc's is still work it's not as stressful as my paid work and it would be one thing less to have to worry about getting through. I'm coming round to the idea that maybe it would help, although dh thinks I'm better working and not having too much time to think. I wish I didn't feel as guilty about taking time off work, but I know in reality that it means people will have to wait and all the work will be piled up for me when I get back. Hmmm.

Friday night anyway what time is the bistro open? I'm quite liking the old Pinot Grigio again after months of abstinence and maybe a sun dried tomato risotto with salad and I better keep off the puddings as my middle still thinks it's expanding as a pg lady.

Diege · 10/06/2011 19:20

Bistro open Shandy!! I am ordering piri piri chicken with sweet potato mash. Mmmm...

lolfactor · 10/06/2011 22:20

Can I have the same, Diege? Really fancy the sound of the mash. Am now trying to imagine you typing with a Welsh accent. No, don't TV anymore (by popular request). Did it for 12 years but the kids hated not having their mum at home (I had a full-time nanny) so I retrained as an English teacher. Had to go to university for 4 years, but it was worth it.

Panashe, sorry it's not your month, but I am so heartened to hear of all those 40-somethings having babies. Hippy do you think it's your ovaries firing out eggs at speed? All those follicles bursting with ripe'ns? They're going to hit the walls, so it could be painful? Grin

I had a really funny experience yesterday. I went on the dating website and was 'chatting' to someone, watching the text typing onto the screen when I saw a button that looked like a 'save' icon. So, I pressed it. Within a milisecond my face was on the screen (including startled expression and my scruffy yoga outfit) and I could see the man I was 'chatting' with sitting in his kitchen. I never knew it did video messaging! What if I'd been wearing nothing but a bright smile? Fortunately he saw the funny side - and he had a nice kitchen - but all the same. What a weird first date.

shandybass · 10/06/2011 23:15

Ha ha, that's funny lol maybe it was your subconscious willing you to be on tv again via web link.

See you have balls to go out there on a dating site. Good for you.

Diege · 11/06/2011 09:36

Ooh Lol how mortifying!! So what did he look like then? Good for you trying the dating site.
No obvious welsh-accent here - very subtle North Walian one that most people (unless they're from N.Wales) wouldn't notice.
Am very cross with a hotel website (Hotel Assist) who have just deducted £167 from my account for a reservation I have cancelled Hmm. Phone lines are 'faulty' and waiting for an e-mail response...Pretty skint after our hols, so could do without it!
Hope everyone is more chilled than I am!

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 10:46

Shandy sorry it is so crap at the moment.

Panashe thanks for cheering us up.

Lol I think there is a message there, do not press buttons if you don't know what they do.

Hippy how are you doing on the clomed, any boob news yet! Biscuit Biscuit

I watched The Good Wife yesterday and it was so fab, any other fans of The Good Wife? It was the last of the series and saw her heading off to a hotel with yummy Will, played by Josh Charles, an actor who I have not seen since he appeared as a teenager in Dead Poet's Society! There is also extra yummy Matt Czuchry in it www.imdb.com/name/nm0194516/ so roll on series 3

Hugs to all

Italiangreyhound · 11/06/2011 10:48

The episode of The Good Wife finished with this lovely song and I found it with a great ice skating montage. Enjoy if that is your thing! (My dd wants to do ice skating so that will be the next thing we pay a fortune for before she decides she 'doesn't like people watching her!')

All the best to all.

Helen

hippychick66 · 12/06/2011 09:24

Did anyone see the Mentalist on Friday? - go Simon Baker go!! I bloody love him!

Nothing to report re: TTC - 1 week into the 2WW. Temp still high.

Eldest DS is off on his school trip tomorrow. Wont see him from Monday - Friday! How did this happen, he's just a baby Shock

shandybass · 12/06/2011 11:48

Oh bless hippy ds it is frightening how quickly they grow and try to act grown up.

I thought I was a telly addict but I've never heard of the good wife, sorry Italian but I liked the link to 'Dead poets society'. Normally I like the mentalist hippy mainly for the bloke's dreamy eyes but I missed it Friday.

I'm going back to my GP tomorrow to ask for some time off work. I'm also a bit worried that I'm still spotting 14 days after my medical m/c. It says to expect up to 10 days bleeding in my notes and they haven't offered me a post treatment scan. I really don't want to leave it until there's an infection before doing something about it esp as we want to get on with trying again as soon as possible.

Anyway wish me luck that I can hold it together tomorrow to talk it all through properly with the doc.

lolfactor · 12/06/2011 14:20

Big hug Shandy ((())) This sounds like it's a miserable experience and I hope the spotting clears up soon. I thought I was 'fine' after my mc but the grief has come out in odd ways since. Taking time to take care of yourself is the biggest way to feel yourself again.

hippychick66 · 12/06/2011 17:21

shandy I would defo ask for a scan just to be sure everything has gone. I don't think it's unusual to still be spotting but worth checking out. After I had a natural MC I had a scan and although it was crap being told "It's all gone you're back to square 1" it was still the best outcome at that time and I did feel better that I'd checked it all out.

Good luck, sweetie. Oh and by the way, please try to watch theat particular episode - it is worth it, I promise. Do you want me to find out when it is repeated???

shandybass · 12/06/2011 17:22

Thanks lol I think I'm finding that out.

I rang the ward where I had my treatment and after one thing and another they offered to book me in for another scan next week so I accepted.

hippychick66 · 12/06/2011 17:32

good news shandy. I know it's crap but it's better to know all is ok in there.

AngelGeorgie · 12/06/2011 19:53

Shandy after my medical management I spotted on and off for about 4 weeks , another reason I preferred the ERCP, take as long as you want off work. It's, after all, only a job . Take care xc
Hippy never seen "The good wife" but our consultant at work raves about it all the time. Hope you re son gets away ok.How's the BlushBlush and Clomid going ?
Hi Italian! hope alls well with you?
Hi LOl how you bearing up? A funny tale re; your new dating experience , straight to 5 th base then???? After " exposing" yourself to him!!!
Hi everyone hope all are well? Crappy weather. Had a lovely couple of days withy mum and sister having manicures etc..Ant made it back in 1 piece after his " misters"
Holiday very hung over!!! GBOS fine but we are having cat dilemmas!!!! Our Eldest "Scottie" was diagnosed with some degree of renal failure a few months ago but he's fit and well but over the last 2 days he seems to have aged started vomiting ( which Isn t normal for him unlike our other cat). So, quite worried about him. Then over the weekend we seemed to have been adopted by a new cat who we ve never seen before. We fed him , yes I know you shouldn t , but he was so hungry and as it was tipping it down we let him in. Our 2 " tolerated" him he was obviously someone's pet ad had been castrated and his coat in good condition. We rung our vets today took him in in the vague hope he would have been microchipped ad he's not wearing a collar but no hand t been!!! At the vets they offered us the option of leaving him with them or bringing him home so they would send him to the Blur Cross local centre tomorrow and if not claimed in a week would be put up for re- homing. As we were put on spot we though for the best we d leave him there. Much crying from me and feelings of guilt. Thus, now after driving round our local area to se e if any posters were out about him, we ve decided we ll ring the Blue Cross
Centre tomorrow to register our interest in him!!! At the bloody cost of £ 50 !!! I ask you ???? How stupid are we???? We ve put some adverts up locally but I hope
His owners don t come foreword now. We WANT him!!!!!

hippychick66 · 12/06/2011 20:57

I meant to say to lol that was sooo funny about the bloke seeing you. I don't think that button would work on our laptop (we don't have a webcam) - how strange that they don't make it more obvious what the button is for. What was he like anyway? Imagine if you pressed the button and there was a Simon Baker lookie-likey - OMG - I'd nab him!

lou you're getting confused with your adled preggo brain. Italian was the 'good wife' - I was 'the mentalist' - get it right Mrs!! Actually maybe she is a good wife and I'm defo mental Hmm

How funny about the cat. Now it's gonna cost you £50 for a cat you could have kept for free - you looney. Just take extra care if there is any cat poo about please (get those rubber gloves on - or better still - get Ant to clear it up). Sorry to hear your other cat is ill.

Glad all is well with GBOS Grin

diege how is diege-bean getting on?? and not forgetting gum-bean Smile

Is it nearly copter time???

hippychick66 · 12/06/2011 21:04

BB I think you were confused as to why you got a load of early highs on your monitor and wondered if it was the clomid. Someone just posted on another thread I'm currently following yes I have some other friends tooGrin (the thread is about taking clomid for the first time) and they put this:-

I checked on the CBFM website and it said clomid can cause a false early High reading and more High days than usual, so I think that's what's happened...

I thought it might help you - but if I am remembering wrong - just ignore me or shoot me or something Grin

BeattieBow · 12/06/2011 21:09

thanks hippy for that. i had a scan last week (when i was panicking about cysts) and it showed that I had ovulated. i also had a temperature shift which coincided with that. so it looks as though I did ovulate even though the cbfm said I didn't.

shandy I bled for months after my mmc - not that that that helps you. I too thought I had an infection, but I think you need a fever too and (sorry tmi) foul smelling blood/discharge.

AngelGeorgie · 12/06/2011 22:31

Arh Hippy yes I am confused!!! Never mind preggo brain it's cat addled brain!!! I only do the litter tray when Ants not here with plastic gloves!! I ve been tested for toxoplasmosis this time and last and both times was negative. Yes , very funny this new addition is going to cost me at LEAST £50!!! Dumb ass Louise !!!! Blush xx

hopefulgum · 12/06/2011 23:46

Hello friends! I realised today, when nothing came up for "threads I'm on" that I'd lost my place, so I'm checking in.

Shandy - sorry things aren't easy for you right now. I had ERCP with my mc and had hardly any bleeding at all afterwards (which actually worried me). I'm glad you can have a scan to settle your mind. Sorry you have to go through this, it's awful((hugs)).

hippy I think gumbean might actually be doing okay. I'm now 7+3, and will have scan in 2 days! Hurray. Thankfully my symptoms have decided to kick in big time this weekend. Nasty taste in my mouth (except when I eat) - check. Nausea - check. Too, too tired - check. Tender boobs - check. And my all time favourite: Extremely irritable ALL the time - check....Still worrying, especially as I'll be 8 weeks on Friday, and that's when our last little bean passed on. Of course I didn't know for a couple more weeks, so I will be hyper sensitive to every little thing in those two weeks...But "for now I am pregnant" and am really, really happy about that.

Are your high temps higher than usual?Do you do fertility friend and compare your charts?

Beattie - glad to hear you definitely ovulated. Did you get troops in place??? Wouldn't it be nice to have a couple of Clomid beans on the thread?

Deige and Lou are you wearing maternity clothes? I'm guessing you would be by now. I just love clothes, so curious about what your favourite maternity bits are? When I had Charlie I splurged on some Isabella Oliver, but in those days I was working and could afford it.Can't now, so I'm sewing instead. I did buy a couple of bits from Next - they are really good value compared to stuff in Australia. To get nice things costs a fortune over here. It is cheaper for me to buy on-line from the UK and US.

Okay, so feeling a bit sick...GrinMake sure the helichopper is ready for Wednesday, okay?

AngelGeorgie · 13/06/2011 07:18

Gum I m not wearing mat clothes . They re pretty crap here I just buy larger sizes in combat trousers, linen trousers, tops etc.., my uniform at work , I had from when I was
Pregnant with Georgie which , again, is just
Way bigger in size. I had some stuff from last year like floaty tops etc., I had 1 pair of mat jeans but other than that I ve not
Bought any mat clothes as they re only temporary!!!
Morning allWink
Anyone see "Scott and Bailey" last night?
I do like it but OMG , Bailey had a late MC by the looks of it as she had to deliver her baby but , amazingly, she was back at work the next day , as a copper!!! They ve obviously conducted their medical research !!! NOT what a load of shite ?!?? Angry

TinaO99 · 13/06/2011 10:01

hippy I saw it! Wow good on patrick although i thought they'd string out the red john story a bit longer - loved the way he sat down and asked for the bill at the cafe and the waitress ran off lol

have to relate a funny (ish) sory to you all - it was my hubby's birthday on friday and I met him after work for a meal and a few drinks. I was pretty tired and hadn't had much to eat (other than a very large and naughty cream cake in the afternoon) so got tipsey pretty quickly. We went to a latin type restaurant (brasilian mexican type food etc) and I had a fantastic margarita and sat down with another cocktail (can't remember what it was) I then proceeded to swipe the glass which smashed over the table spilling the contents everywhere (which was bad enough) the maitre d came over and mopped the table with me apologising profusely and being very embarrassed...but worse was to come!

I got up to go to the loo, came out lostb my footing and crashed into a table with 4 people on it - not once but twice, once into a woman and once into a man (don't think he minded but the woman was none too pleased)

I careered back to my table and started to bawl my eyes out making a further spectacle of myself with my poor husband trying to console me and try to make me laugh on what should have been a nice night for him

I'm laughing about it now but I'll never go back to that restaurant lol

hippychick66 · 13/06/2011 12:31

tina OMG - you have definitely out done my falling out of a mini bus story. You complete lush you Grin .

I'm so glad you saw the Mentalist. When he went after Red John and he looked so sad when he was telling him how his wife smelled etc and I was saying, "Just kill him Patrick!" I was so pleased when he did it and yes, I loved the casual way he asked for the bill. Sorry if I've just spoilt it for any one else. But that man is just so scrummy!!!

lou I haven't seen Scott and Bailey yet but do plan to watch it on catch up. I'll try to look surprised thought Grin It's quite good but very gritty - don't ya think? I found last weeks episode quite upsetting and I usually don't have a problem with that kind of thing. Dexter is one of my favs and that is very gritty!

gum glad to hear all ok. Copter is all booked. You asked about my temps. They were just standard post ov temps but this mornings was very high. I was all excited and like Ohhhh triphasic???? BUT I don't know if it is down to the clomid or it could be cos my DS1 went on his trip this morning and I was a bit sad about that. So i will have to wait and see if the temp stays way high. I will not get excited though Hmm...

BeattieBow · 13/06/2011 12:57

hippy snap! my temp went above 37 today for the first time in ages (if ever!). i was very excited and thought triphasic too! will probably be lower tomorrow. I am 7 or 8 dpo I think, so I was thinking implantation and everything. (Disclaimer: I think implantation every month!).
