Here is part II of our intrepid journey through the minefield that is TTC post MC. You can find part I on this thread.

Good to hear you got some asprin yellow - hope you have a wonderful hol and there's lots to distract you from the mentalling and that the in-laws buy the ulcer story.

But you are minted gentry worm - you're just one of those nice posh ones that doesn't like to go on about dosh too much Grin - anyway, please don't spoil sparkly's little barbour fantasy....

REally pleased to hear that the gynae is taking things seriously emma and 5 months of wtf cycles is a long time so try not to feel bad / like a fraud. You're taking positive action which is the best thing. If you do end up with the fanjo pills, let me know if you need any extra instructions with them as having done them for 14 weeks now, I'm beginning to feel like something of a pro - not sure I'll put that on my next CV though. "Extra Skills - competent in fanjo pill insertion" Grin What is your due date? sending hugs x

Posted on the FO thread too harassed but sooooo pleased for you - lots of tears obligatory. Your dd sounds too cute.

Talking of threads, I haven't approached the due in Nov thread at all, but happy to be on the Freak Out room thread as less lol on there and nice ladies understanding all the anxiety that goes with pg post mc. Maybe see if that suits you worm and sparkly..... they also have a grads thread that I may be brave enough to join soon. Although, my body is a bit mean at times - had a tiny bit of red spotting on wiping (sorry if tmi) last night which of course sent me into a spiral.... nothing since but it feels like a "don't get too complacent" warning Hmm....

I agree with wellie on the not starting on day 6 with the OPKs marathon - they are blinking expensive (well the digi ones that I can only get here are anyway) and I felt quite cheated testing from CD10 and not getting a smiley face until CD16 and then a couple of months, nothing at all...... I think they recommend peeing in the afternoon on them but only if you haven't been for 4 hours. This just wasn't practical as a) I have a pathetic bladder and b) couldn't bring myself to have all that paraphinalia (sp?) in the work toilets so I did it immediately on waking. Great news on AF turning up though. I think we all found the first AF post m/c a bit odd - this link may help and in fact I found the questions under the healing section on their website really quite useful.

Now ladies, yellow is absolutely right - we are running out of posts on this thread and the new rule is that it can't be someone who is updiffed who starts the next one as, so far, those who have started these threads have got updiffed - so who's feeling brave?! Smile

Hi everyone
Just a quicky got to take my mother to the cornwall bus then got booking in. I am in full on mental mode, boobs smaller, sickness still gone. I'm not going to kick up a fuss for a scan anymore as to be honest if it is all going wrong again I don't want to see it. I actually feel like cancelling the booking in appointment but won't. I feel really tearful, thought I would be ok when I got past the point of MC last time but I'm really not.......
wombat I hope the spotting has stopped and you are feeling less worried now. God this is awful makes me wonder why the hell we put ourselves through it!
I nominate mrsb to start the next thread. Will be back later x

wombatinwaiting · 11/06/2011 08:46

Oh worm - it is a toughie this waiting period..... thinking of you and sending calm, zen-like and positive vibes your way and everything is crossed for you. How do you feel about talking to the m/w about your fears? She may be able to offer some solid and independent advice about a scan..... Hugs x

OP posts:
yellowtomato · 11/06/2011 09:57

Hey worm so sorry you are in full on mental, how far along are you now? Hope that you get some reassurance from midwife, I can understand how you feel about the scan, I'm sending you lots of positive vibes and hugs.

wombat that sounds stressful, hope it was nothing and it doesn't happen again.

I'm laying on the sofa feeling sick. I can't believe I am only just over 6 weeks and have so far to go.

This is truly a painful process. Hugs to all

Wormshuffler · 11/06/2011 13:23

hi girls
Thanks ladies , you're all lovely, I'm back from the appointment, I tried not to mental too much, but told her I was very anxious, she was leaning towards organising me an early scan but I actually said I didn't think it would help because of last time! I will regret that one I know! She gave me a bounty pack and loads of books which I have put straight in the wardrobe to be looked at another time! Good job I had a foldaway bag in my handbag as the bounty pack said mum to be all over it and I had parked at asda thus not to pay the extortionate parking fees. Saw loads of people on my way back! phew! I'm now 9+3.
Ah sickness yellow i recommend salt and vinegar snack a jacks!
Anyway feeling a bit calmer now, what will be will be, Have just done a chilled out spotify playlist and have a lush bath running. Have a nice weekend girls

emmaandthestar · 11/06/2011 13:45

my due date is/was 20th August, I am hoping now we have tests etc booked it will happen by itself (that happened last time!)

Worm hope you are ok and not too much mentalling going on there - at least you know you can get the scan if you feel you need it.

yellowtomato · 11/06/2011 14:47

Glad you are feeling a bit better worm I've got salt and vinegar crisp stick things and lime juice which seems to help

Wormshuffler · 11/06/2011 14:53

Feeling fine now, physchiatrists should prescribe a bath with wham to cure depression. Amazingly i still knew every word, even to the rap!

wombatinwaiting · 11/06/2011 15:50

Ah - I'm so pleased to hear you're feeling better worm and I'm sure you could change your mind re: early scan. 9+3 is great! Are you booked in for a 12 week scan anyway?

It's amazing how many stories you hear about people turning up for fertility appointments, only to be told they are pg, so sincerely hope that is the case for you emma. In fact, it happened to my mum Smile.

Hope you're feeling a bit better yellow with the sickness and how are you doing on the mentalling front? When are you off on hols and have you downloaded mn chat app so you can keep us updated? We will miss you!

Ladies - we only have 16 messages on this thread so mrsb or others, get a move on! x

OP posts:
yellowtomato · 11/06/2011 17:42

Is there an mn chat app? I am not off until tues and will try to pop in most days although they don't have wifi and the signal is v bad. So glad you are feeling better worm I am also not feeling sick right now which is a bonus!

mrsb33 how are you feeling? Sending hugs your way. I hope my moaning about sickness hasn't been too annoying for you, please come back and tell us how you are.

I'm off for a nap!

wombatinwaiting · 12/06/2011 06:18

Well, I'm not an i-phone user, but there is a whole article on it on the mn homepage....

Where IS mrsb? - hope you are ok lovely and not feeling really awful..... please drop us a quick note when you can to reassure us - thinking of you x

P.S. Happy birthday to wombat! Chocolate cake all round for brekkie!

OP posts:
Sparklywine · 12/06/2011 10:09

Awww, happy birthday Wombat!!
I'll pass for now on the choc cake if you don't mind, just logged on to research diarrhoea as experienced a somewhat hasty experience Grin Turns out hopefully to be another joyous symptom of pregnancy, I'm just a bit worried as Finky the kitten had amoebic dysentry so my mind is going into overdrive. I'll monitor and ask the midwife if it continues, but will stay hydrated and try not to panic. Stomach feels flatter but then it should do after that episode!
Are you doing anything nice today then? Beach, flashy meal, spa day trip to a war zone? Grin

yellowtomato · 12/06/2011 11:03

Happy birthday wombat 21 again?

Thanks for sharing sparkly try not to mental, hope you feel better soon.

I am only feeling slightly sick today but slept for almost 10 hours so maybe that helped.

wellieboots · 12/06/2011 12:17

Someone needs to make us a new thread, the tradition goes that the person who makes it gets a BFP, well worked for the last 2 threads anyway.:) So someone do it and give us a linky thing..............we can't split up now!!! I don't think I could cope!

harassedinherpants · 13/06/2011 09:34

Morning, sorry I haven't been around. We had the internet installed (finally!) on Friday, and it's been totally rubbish! Drops in and out, and now the router has given up the ghost so they're sending us a new one.... Will be digging the contract out later.

mrsb sorry you're feeling so low, I think you're entittled to tbh. Have you thought about going to the docs?? I don't know about the fertility monitor but I have some of the cheapie opk's hanging about if you'd like them. You're welcome to them! Oh, and go and start a new thread!!!! xx

wombat a belated happy birthday from me!! Hoorrraaay for a new villa too, lovely. Have you picked which room is going to be the nursery Grin.

sparkly hope your tummy is better! I have the opposite problem Hmm

Wellie ooh good luck with the job!!

It's my second wedding anniversary today! This from someone who after she got divorced said: no serious relationships, no joint bank account, no joint mortgage/tenacy.......and def no more children Grin.

Come on, someone start a new thread!!!

Sparklywine · 13/06/2011 10:36

Whoever starts the new thread best be providing a decent and consistent breakfast service! MrsB, sorry you are feeling low; my sister took 18 months to get pregnant with sparklyniece1 and she had her down moments.

The doctors couldn't find a thing amiss, other than that her body temperature was a little low. She conceived on holiday when she was a tad warmer, but you could just whack the heating on. Don't give up, this has been a lucky thread - go on, start a new one!
Anyhow, I am at home today, as fainted on the tram! Am like Scarlett O'Hara! DH mentioned 'My fat embarrassing body' or whatever it is that's on tv tonight, I pictured acres of blubber, and suddenly got all hot and dizzy. I thought I was going to to be sick, then next thing I knew I was sat in a seat being fanned, with DH telling people I was pregnant (that was cute), and a lovely woman offering me a banana. We'd missed our stop so I must have been out a minute or so, we got off with me drenched in sweat and then sat in a daze with poor DH looking worse than I did! I'm not the fainty type so it was a bit of a shock, good old MN says it's yet another common joyous symptom of pg though. I went to the docs just incase but my blood pressure is fine, I think I just need to take it easier and have breakfast before I leave, to put some energy in.
Going to have tea and toast now, and watch This Morning and snooze.

wellieboots · 13/06/2011 10:53

happy to start new thread but think mrsb should get first dibs on it as I'm only on month 5 - just don't want to tread on anyone's toes.....

hope you all had good weekends - really sorry you're feeling Sad mrsb, this ttc lark is emotionally exhausting, big hugs!

waves to everyone else!
