mrsb33 · 30/05/2011 17:33

Well I've done it ladies, reverted back to my orginal name to see if it brings me good luck! Not sure if pecka33 has helped my ttc mission or my reputation!

emmaandthestar · 30/05/2011 17:57

Hello - Yellow FANTASTC NEWS!!! I can't say try not mentalling as it will happen but at least its the next stage mentalling :)

I still have no AF but think the text was right as CM has all but dried up - no matter how much rummaging!!

mrsb33 good luck

yellowtomato · 30/05/2011 18:02

Hey mrsb33 you're absolutely right, we're a team now and we'll all get there. So waiting 12 months after mc to get some investigations done is what you decided or suggested by your GP? Have either of you had any tests done before?
My cycles seemed to be going more wonky, last month was the shortest ever at 23.......so who knows what that all means. So day 11, peak SWI time, you'd better get off the computer and get down to business. Having said that this month we didn't really put much effort into it.......was only twice around the right time although once was prob a bit too early and the other was prob the 'right' day. I'd been working for 12 hrs and was in a v bad mood but we just got on with it and it seems to have done the trick!

I will try to be a bit more positive, it's so hard though. All I can really think about is that I don't want to have another ERPC. And that my new boss will be less than delighted. It's going to be so hard keeping it a secret cos we work so closely together all day every day and also there's the drinking.........

I was feeling so tired today i had an hour long nap this afternoon. Probably a bit early for tiredness, I guess it must be all the excitement!

Thanks again everyone for all the good wishes......I can't believe how far I've come since that appointment with the Harley St Dr.......... Grin

mrsb33 · 30/05/2011 18:17

Well tbh yellow, that's the advice that other people have given me, I thought as I'm under 35 I would have to wait 12 months b4 seeking advice??
Thanks for the advice and I'm sure it will all work out in the end. X

Wormshuffler · 30/05/2011 19:51

Welcome back to your old name mrsb, I dunno about having to wait 12 months, but would a doc know how long anyway, you could say anything !! [cheeky emocion]
Ah well they always say it will happen when you start to relax and that seems to be what's happened in your case!! Lets just hope Mr Harley street was wrong yellow! denial is the way to go to help with the mentaling, just throw yourself into your work x
Careful with all that rummaging Emma you don't want to do yourself an injury Wink

mrsb33 · 30/05/2011 19:58

Thanks wombat, can't lie really as we had our mmc in sept so they kinda know we've not been trying for longer[if you get what I mean] my last visit to the docs about my skin, suffer from psrasis, he said you've got 10 mins so talk fast, when I mentioned we had been trying for a while now, he just said ensure your taking pre~nat vits and having plenty of sex!!! Like I didn't know that already!!!
X

Star82 · 30/05/2011 20:34

Oooh, nice doctor then mrsb?? idiot!!! Hate that cos then I feel under pressure and forget things or feel I'm wasting their time.

I'll be able to give updates whilst I'm away if anything happens and will check in regularly. Got 2 kids here that don't seem to want to sleep tonight. We're in a hotel at gatwick ready for the morning. Could right do with sone Wine......damn it!!!

And lastly in echoing everyone else......what absolutely, fantastic news yellow....really is. We must be about the same then I think as mine is 2-3 on the monitor too! Take care and be happy!!!! X

wombatinwaiting · 31/05/2011 08:58

Am v Angry at your doctor mrsb - how bloody insensitive - did he know about your mc?

So how are you feeling today yellow and what did dp say? Will indeed be tricky at work - how do you get on with him / her and do they have kids? Did you suffer from ms in your last 2 pgs as I think that's the hardest thing to cover up at work (plus the drinking.... could you say you're going on a detox for the next 3 months or so?!!)

Hang in there emma - they say things come in 3s....! Smile

And hope the kids behave themselves star - I'll be they're so excited!

OP posts:
wellieboots · 31/05/2011 09:51

(((((((yellow))))) OMG, I am so so happy for you! Grin Grin Grin

I know you will want to take it one day at a time and will be a bit terrified, but we will all be with you and you have to start somewhere - much love to you, I am SO excited!!!!!

Not sure if I will be updiffed before June Sad - this cycle is my last chance to be pg before dd (or at least to know that I'm pg before the dd, iykwim) - but I guess I did wait through a LONG WTF, such that by the time we started TTC again I would have been 20 wks so I haven't had very long really! And I've moved countries! So I guess I can be forgiven.....

CD24 here - no symptoms other than a queasy tummy which is prob just nerves, and sleepless nights about the thought of going back into a scan room - how much worse am I gonna be when I finallly get a BFP!

Waves to everyone, more Smile :) :) :) for yellow, sorry AF got you emma, welcome back mrsb and sorry for the slightly me me me bit in the middle!

wombatinwaiting · 31/05/2011 13:43

Aw wellie- still hope for you this month and like you say, with your WTF cycle plus the big move, death in the family etc. there's been a lot of stress around you of late. Here's to a more carefree few months (oh until you get your BFP of course Smile )

Now, where is sparkly? I'm sure it's monty's scan day today - good luck with that unless you've already been. Thinking of you x

OP posts:
Sparklywine · 31/05/2011 17:20

I nip off for a scan and come back to chaos!
Yellow!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin
I actually gasped out loud, like they do in soaps, I am sooooo soooooo happy for you! I know you like a virtual lesbo snog so here's a juicy one, and a swift cup of your left bosom for good measure!
Aw, what a day. Monty is fine, bouncing around in there having fun, and gave us a little triumphant fist aloft at one point ("Victory is mine!" in Stewie from Family Guy voice) Measurements and dates are spot on so I am a relieved and floaty happy Sparkly. The office have all so obviously guessed and were waiting for me to announce it but I want this for me and dh a little longer so am keeping quiet, no-one dare ask incase I have just got fat, it's fun! Grin
I must go, will read over everyone's posts properly tomorrow and I am thinking of you all as know we're not all in a great place at this point in time. We'll all get there though, keep the faith (Oooh, maybe Monty is already a Northern Soul fan!).
Yellow, come here, I want another smooch..... xxx
Grin

mrsb33 · 31/05/2011 18:26

fab news sparkly!!! this thread is quickly turning into a very lucky one!!! im just hoping it rubs onto me some time soon Hmm
sparkly you do make me laugh!!
wombat yes he did, he wasnt my normal doc, its new well newish so they dont really know me very well there yet, still no excuses for being a twat!!

yellowtomato · 31/05/2011 19:12

Hello everyone

Thank you so much for all the good wishes, they mean a lot . The only other person who knows is dp who said 'oh fuck' and now doesn't want to talk about it! I think he is just concerned about going through a traumatic event again.

Re my boss she is a workaholic with no kids. I never had ms before but never got past 8 weeks either so who knows!

Great news for scan sparkly hurrah! Big sloppy kiss right back atcha, did you like the feel of my slightly larger boob?

Can't remember what other news there is and cant go back on silly phone without losing message.

Wormshuffler · 31/05/2011 19:40

Ah excellent a bouncing Monty/stewie Grin you are so very cool about it all sparkly ! i don't know how you do it!

I have it all crossed for you wellie and mrsb

It's DD's 12 birthday tomorrow and I am officially the coolest Mum ever....... I got her some Katy Perry tickets for november, She is gonna pee her pants when she opens them. We asked her where she wanted to go for tea, her choice anywhere she likes, and she said "ah it's curry night at the pub isnt it" lets go there!! thats my girl!!

Am into a pattern now with the sickness, not to bad on first waking (530am) every morning, then it ramps up until about 9 then as long as I keep eating solidly until 3 I'm not too bad. I come to life and feel normal by about 5pm. I can cope with that. For another 5 weeks..........

harased are you around or internet-less?

yellowtomato · 01/06/2011 11:31

I've got really bad wind today, feel sorry for my colleagues! I remember this from last time and being glad to be at home. Tmi?

Sparklywine · 01/06/2011 12:38

Noooo, too litle information Yellow, nothing on odour or volume for a start Grin
Is dp coming round at all yet? You will be needing plenty of support and hugs, the odd frenchie from me isn't going to cut the mustard!
Am picturing Worm constantly shovelling in food for 6 hours straight, making little wuffling noises of satisfaction, crumbs and jam cascading down the forgiving Barbour. Your dd sounds super cool, pub curry buffet! I like the landed classes mixing it up a bit with the riffraff Grin
Yes, where is Harassed, hope you're ok?
Wombat, have you managed to find any clothes that don't make you look like a sack? I do just look a bit tubby at the moment and am wearing the same two outfits pretty much on rotation. Can't wait to press the ruched jersey and otherwise unflattering horizontal striped horrors into service.

Wormshuffler · 02/06/2011 07:13

Morning Ladies
Had a lovely day yesterday, with DC's. DD loved her presents and curry tea Grin
Hows the wind today smellytomato?
How are all our 2ww ers getting on?
wombat hope all is well you have gone v quiet!

yellowtomato · 02/06/2011 07:25

Oh dear, did I scare everyone away with my smell? Off to dr this am (it takes about 2 weeks to get an appt but I already had one for something else) and am going to ask fir early scan referral. Not sure what scans u want yet but I want the option!

harassedinherpants · 02/06/2011 09:22

Morning!!

Goodness, I disappear for a few days and look what happens?! Yellow I am positively over the moon for you lovely Grin Grin Grin!! Anything remotely emotional has me in tears at the moment, so I'm sat here trying not to blub in the office Grin. And Star...... mahoooosive congrats to you too .

Sparkly fab scan news lovely. Soo pleased Monty was bouncing around Grin Grin.

I'm loving all this good news!!

Worm wow!! I hope dd was suitably chuffed, can you be my mummy please?! Glad to hear of lots of symptoms, well you know what I mean!

Yellow yes wind...... and lots of it in my case Blush.

Wellie You're still in!!

Mrsb I really think you should just go to the docs. At least make an appointment. I'm shocked at your doc, appalling behaviour!

Emma sorry af got you lovely.

So......I've been moving. It was a bloody nightmare!! Our 3 seater sofa was a very tight fit to get in in the first place and had to come out in pieces. So I'm now on the hunt for a coordinating sofa! On the Sunday am, dh had a shower and the blasted thing wouldn't turn off......kind of sums up the whole sorry saga. Oh and we have no internet until next Friday Sad.

I'm back in work today, for a break, but dh has the rest of the week off. Which seems an exceptionally good plan to me!!!!

On the bump front..... it's huge!! The old tummy muscles are not what they used to be for sure. How everyone hasn't guessed I'll never know. But I'm 10+3 now, and have my scan booked for next Friday .

harassedinherpants · 02/06/2011 09:23

Yellow I had scans at 6 and 8 weeks. If I could have one, it would have been the 8 week one. Guaranteed to see a heartbeat by then, and I've read all over the place that if you see a hb at 8 weeks then the chance of mc is 3%..... Not bad odds!

mrsb33 · 02/06/2011 10:04

Glad dd,s bday went well worm, she sounds like a Dream.
Hi harrassed long time no speak, I can't believe your so far along already! Wow you girls are moving fast!
Yellow, good luck with your appointment today, fingers crossed you get in for an early scan.
Well this month I decided to just watch out for my symptoms and not over do the swi and the obsessive ttc actions.
Now on day 15 and think I ovulated tuesday\wednesday tested today and the op sticks said positive, so fingers crossed we've caught it this month...
So looks like I'm offically on the 2 ww. No booze or coffee for me for a whole 2 weeks!!!! Eeeekkkkkkkk....

wombatinwaiting · 02/06/2011 16:03

Hello hello lovely ladies! Been a bit busy this end even though I wasn't at work today as part of my shorter hours - loving these 4 day weeks!

Great news on monty's scan sparkly and love the fact you're keeping it your little secret a wee bit longer. Re: clothes - I have been using some old trousers that I couldn't wear any more after I lost some weight last year and hoped that they would come in useful for this one day and I've had to give in tucking my shirts / tops in for work. Same for a couple of dresses for evenings but I did go out and get some jeggings in a large size that I think will be just smart enough for work and some tunic tops in 1 size larger - found lots of nice ones in Wallis - this one has already received compliments and there are loads more on their website. Did buy some maternity work trousers but I really don't like them. Cos of the hot weather here, jeans don't really feature at this time of year anyway so mostly living in stretchy crop trousers and living with the fact that tops are a bit tight! Hope that helps....

Impressed with your plan harassed in getting DH to do the lion's share - you are pg after all Grin

How did you get on at the docs today yellow - hope they were sympathetic. And how is DP doing now? Oh and wind - tick. burping lots - tick

You are officially coolmum worm - so glad to read dd's bday was such a success.

Good luck on staying calm during the 2ww mrsb -with the name change and all, it could be your month!

Haven't heard from marathon for a while - hope all ok with you.

Have been looking at some villas today as I had a bit of a panic with dates - we need to hand our notice in here in 2 weeks time and be out by 19th July. Nothing was quite right and some of the places were just plain odd.....

Waves to all! xx

OP posts:
MarathonMama · 02/06/2011 17:34

Bonjour! On hols in french France at the moment so haven't been lurking as usual. It's been nice but set me back a bit as we're with two pg friends who keep sharing stories of midwife appointments etc. They're due just before I would have been so it's hard to stomach sometimes.

Also, my AF seems to have arrived although it's only been 2.5 weeks since my erpc and two weeks since I stopped bleeding. Is this normal from your experiences? Only bleeding a bit but it's got a few clots in, sorry if tmi!

Apart from that, enjoying lots of sun, sea and cheese (no sex as we're staying with friends and the the bed squeaks!)

emmaandthestar · 02/06/2011 20:56

Still no AF - where is it??? CD34 now...

Harrassed hope the week passes quickly to next weeks scan
Marathon that's quite early - could it be additional bleeding? if it all seems like normal AF then treat it as that, I think we have all been different!!

Sparkly I remember being in denial about maternity clothes - once you are in them it will be soooo comfy - you won't want to leave them behind afterwards!

yellowtomato · 02/06/2011 22:04

Hey gang

Dr was really, really lovely. He is new and young and very sweet and on the ball. He suggested a referral to epu before I'd even finished speaking. He also suggested an illness I can tell my inlaws I have to explain the no drinking all week when we go next week - a stomach ulcer. Does anyone know anything about them?

Emma what lengths are your cycles normally? When did u last test?

marathon sounds v tough to spend time with pg people esp when they have similar due dates. Big hug to you.

mrsb33 fingers crossed!

Thanks for the advice harassed I should be able to have all the scans I want now, still considering what to do

wombat sounds like you've got it covered style wise, my belly is feeling bigger already in the evenings, that's not normal is it?

sparkly so happy for you and monty! You are making excellent progress!

Has anyone else had trouble hiding their non-drinking? Or is that just me? It really is an issue with colleagues, clients and friends.
