To add my tuppeneth wombat I think the stage you're at is hard as you're losing your symptoms but not yet showing a bump or getting any kicks. Normally people are relieved to start feeling normal again but I suppose when you've had a miscarriage it just brings back all the worry.

I didn't start showing with my dd until I was nearly 5 months gone and didn't feel any kicks until 18 weeks. All my symptoms went at the end of the first trimester so there really wasn't anything to show for a few weeks. At 5 months I just burst though, the bump literally appeared overnight. It was bizarre.

When it came to bonding, I never bonded with my bump (although I did try, I played her relaxing birth music, poor thing). I even found it hard to bond with my new baby for the first 6 weeks or so. She seemed so alien to me. Now I'd win the doting mother of the year award, I am totally in awe and I couldn't love her more Smile

Good luck with the scan, I'm sure it'll be fine. Will be thinking of you.

yellowtomato · 06/06/2011 13:08

You are right wombat no nausea before. Was feeling sick all am and now feel horribly tired and a bit sick! Hope this doesn't get much worse will be tough to hide from the client as i work from their offices 2 or 3 times a week!

wombatinwaiting · 06/06/2011 17:38

Thanks marathon - it's just a relief to know that these feelings are perfectly normal - you do start to question your sanity at times.... 5 months til a bump - that's impressive! Only 2 and a bit weeks to go til I hopefully start feeling those kicks. It's amazing how much more positive I feel just having the scan booked in at a place I'm comfortable with.

Sorry but yay at the same time about the sickness yellow - is anything helping? I think it's a bit of trial and error for everyone.... good luck with the client!

Well Wombat, yes, DH told his mum and i have told my sister but that's it. I think they thought something was up cos i was rejecting wine on the airplane and at the villa. I am fretting a lot at the mo. Went on Harry Potter ride as it was new and i haven't riden that before but have been picking and choosing what i go on after reading up on rides in pregnancy. Also there are twins both sides, albeit 2 or 3 generations back i think.

Yes i did buy some Butterbear Worm. Yum Yum!!! Got the frozen slushy one with keepsake beer glass.....$10+ for the pleasure Shock. They really are raking it in. DS a bit scared first time on Harry and DD was big enough for the Hippogriff. They chose a Dumbledore and Harry wand although DD accidently (probably not) chipped DS's wand so he bought Voldermorts with his own money.

I'll keep you posted the Marathon.
It is strange because if i was indeed 5 weeks dead on when i tested, that would have put conception spot on the first time we actually DTD that cycle. If that makes sense? As in if i work 3 weeks back (as i was already 2 weeks at conception), it lies right on that first time. Is it possible to have sex and conceive on the same day?? Can't be further on as had a neg test week before and no sex due to me spitting my dummy out the previous 3 weeks Blush. I'm so confused!!

Yellow. If i go from when i got my 3+ (5+) on the clearblue, i'm 5+5 today. I had my LMP down as 29th too forgot to properly note when discharge went from brown to full on period blood (sorry) but remember i was wearing a tampon during the Royal Wedding as was at a friends house so used that as day one. Yes, i know, a bit warped...hehe!!! Where are you off on holiday to?

A quick one to you all as well. I've been closely obsessing monitoring my cervical mucus/discharge and have noticed it's a bit coloured. As in not white on my pants but more pale yellowy?? Also the CM can seem quite a bit like EWCM today. Is this ok?? I'm freaking out!!!

Wormshuffler · 07/06/2011 07:12

Hi Girls
star yes I had yellowy discharge and other gooey stuff too, I remember having so much with DD that I was woried my waters had gone!( they hadn't!) They really do take the piss with the prices there don't they. Those wands were $35 i think for basically bits of plastic! Mine didn't actually ask for them thank god!! I remember standing in line behind someone whose bill came to over $200! cloak scarf and wand crazy......

It's good to hear you have sickness yellow (in the nicest possible way) Grin if you didn't have it anytime before. With DD and DS i had it really bad, but not at all with the MC, and I have nausea this time but only been sick a couple of times. My advise is to just eat something small every 2 hours and not let yourself get empty.

You sound more upbeat wombat ..good to hear, this is the part you are supposed to enjoy!!! The scan will b e really clear at 16 weeks, do you think you will have one of those 4d type ones? I have spoken to people who say that really helped them bond with bump. I didn't bond with DD until about 35 weeks as that was when she started to respond to sounds and music etc. With DS it was earlier as he never sat still (and still doesn't!)

Wow harassed you are nearly there! good luck on friday I will be thinking of you and wombat on thurs. We looked around those 3 story houses and loved the top floor suite, we only didn't go for it as it was a new build and I like character buildings.

I am now further on than I got last time though and starting to feel a bit more real! Booking in on saturday when I will be 9+3 by LMP. We went out for tea last night with in laws . SinL is now 17 weeks. I couldn't believe she actually smoked in front of us, after first saying "oh god I'm gonna get a lecture now" So She got one!!! She had the midwife appointment where they test your breathing levels and pyhsically show you how the baby is getting less oxygen. Selfish bitch Angry!!!!!!
I was getting quizzed by MinL as to why I wasn't drinking so if it all does go ok and we tell them in 3 weeks I think she will be upset....... DH was adement that we were not to tell them though and it's his Mum so up to him. Other SinL told me she had a termination this time last year Shock they are having bad marriage problems but even so I was so shocked. Why did she even need to tell Me that knowing we are trying??! You can't pick your family hey?........

Waves to all I havn't namechecked x

wombatinwaiting · 07/06/2011 07:25

Good to hear from you star and that you are enjoying your hols despite understandable anxiety - as worm says, all sorts of discharge in all colours of the rainbow seems quite "normal". Eeek re: your twin history!

Not sure I would have lasted the tea with all that from your in-laws worm - no wonder you were Angry and Shock. I wonder what she thinks of women who drink heavily or do drugs throughout their pgs and whether she equates what she does on the same level? Don't want to get too lecture-y but I understand your feelings.

Definitely feeling more upbeat thanks - these bloody hormones have quite a lot to answer for, methinks..... also, looking for a new villa has been a good distraction. I saw one yesterday that I thought had potential and took DH to see it last night and he really liked it too. It's been empty for a while and needs quite a bit of work so we're just now in negotiations with the landlord - trying not to get too excited, but definitely am. We can both see it being a lovely home and it's even got it's own private pool Blush! We didn't want one because of the running costs, but seeing as we we should be getting a good deal, we figure we will be able to balance it out. Need to keep excitement levels down!

How's the sickness today yellow?

Waves to all!

OP posts:
harassedinherpants · 07/06/2011 09:38

Wombat I'm glad you're sounding happier today, hormones are a killer aren't they?! Dh says he never knows if he's coming to happy, sad or tearful wife Grin. Villa sounds lovely!! I think we should all come for a holiday Wink.

Star glad you're enjoying your hols despite the inevitable mentalling!! It's good to keep busy though, I've found that's the best distraction. Oh and yes to lots of discharge, from clearish to yellow...lovely!

Worm yes nearly there, but flipping terrified tbh. Your inlaws sound like a nightmare! I can't believe preg sil smoked in front of you. You're terribly restrained to just give her a lecture.

Yellow I'm "glad" you're getting some symptoms! I second eating little and often. I bring a box of chopped fruit to work with me and pick at it constantly. I've found drinks really hard as I've gone off so many things, but at the moment it's Orangina and orange Oasis. I've found stronger tastes help, as if it almost distracts me..... daft!

marathon 5 months to get a bump!!! Impressive! I have the beginnings of one already. But this is number 4 and I'm not as thin as I was!

Nothing to report here really. Still sick and exhausted, plus soooo worried about the scan on Friday. All sorts of what if's going through my head, it's horrible. Dh is all excited about it too.

wombatinwaiting · 07/06/2011 09:43

I was going to suggest a Dubai meet-up for us all Grin - plenty of space for you!

Not surprised you're worried harassed - good news that you are still sick and exhausted but I know that doesn't necessarily help with the "what ifs" - any good distractions coming up this week?

OP posts:
emmaandthestar · 07/06/2011 19:44

Just finished reading all your mentalling posts, sorry was too slushed last night to post - Yellow I am obviously not up to your standards yet!!

Wombat your hormones are all over the place - I blubbed all the time when pregant with dd... from eastenders, doctor who and the John Lewis ad :o

Anyway - have an appointment with the doc tomorrow as I have had really bad cramps for 2 weeks now and only just got AF today. I am hoping she refers me back to the gyny that I saw before and they can check that I am ovulating...

Worm ooo that SIL would have made me sooo mad, esp infront of you - how insensitive.

yellowtomato · 07/06/2011 21:01

Just a quickie ladies, sickness wasn't too bad today until it got to 6pm when it built up and I was nearly suck in the supermarket! I think it might be because I didn't leave work till 7 si must have had an empty tum but instead of feeling hungry went straight to sickness.

Saw acu guy today and he has prescribed more herbs which might help so I'll get them in a couple of days. I'll even take them to France and it will back up my stomach complaint excuse!

Emma must try harder re posting whilst drunk

harassed will have fingers and toes crossed on fri and thurs for you wombat

worm what a nightmare sil, I can't believe it!

star hope your hol keeps going well, easier said than done but try to enjoy your hol, you can always get a dating scan when you get back

mrsb33 where and how are you?

yellowtomato · 07/06/2011 21:14

Oh and good luck with the dr tomorrow Emma

mrsb33 · 07/06/2011 23:07

Ladies I'm here, just lurking! Been ill since sat with a virus?? Well was ill sat nyt\sun then fine monday then ill again today!!! Think its all the swi its zapped all my energy and made me very run down! Also feel abit blue so a few days in bed should help?! Feeling sorry for myself tbh!!

Yellow, when do you go away?
Sorry havent name checked everyone, hope your all doing well. Xx

Wormshuffler · 08/06/2011 08:25

Morning Ladies
Hope you are all well.
Knitting type pains could be good mrsb! i had them before bfp, it aint over yet!
Ah I forgot about you doing accu yellow do you think that has helped you get the bfp? Yes don't let the tummy get empty! I have bought cereal for inbetween meals now as I was just reachin for the crisps everytime and my arse is growing!! As is my bump! i look PG today.
How did it go with the doc emma?
wombat how are you? excited about the scan? I am currently trying to resist booking an early scan, definately going to act all vague about My LMP date at my booking in on saturday, would sooner the NHS paid, I don't think DH would like the idea of a private one, He is tight as a badgers arse!
Harrased nearly scan time again for you too! Will it be your nuchal scan?
sparkly hows it going for you? have you come clean with everyone at work yet?
star hope you are having a lovely holiday.
marathon where are you in your cycle? enjoying SWi?
So I wanted to go on the old June thread to wish them luck today, but I have hidden it and now can't find it! alot of us have our DD's coming up, so lets all have a nice group hug :) When I think about how I would only have had a week left it feels quite unbelievable, and actually a bit panicky for some strange reason.
Am wearing my sports bra today as all my others hurt now and I decided I wouldn't buy anything PG related until after a 12 week scan, I may have to welch on that.
Happy wednesday to you all.

yellowtomato · 08/06/2011 09:28

Morning ladies

I'll join the group hug, I peeked in on the June thread and it was weird to recognise names and realise they are about to pop!

pecka I'm sorry you are feeling down, I've got my fingers crossed for you.

I woke up feeling v hungover and still feel vaguely sick, but I guess it is a good sign.

wellieboots · 08/06/2011 10:13

Hi I'm back, looks like I've missed a lot! Won't even attempt to namecheck and catch up on everyone's chat but will definitely join the group hug - less than 2 weeks to dd and does feel VERY surreal!

Hope the doc goes OK emma and good luck to scannees!

wombat you were asking about my weird cycles, OPKs etc - when I got pg I used OPK for first time and got the positive really late - CD18 or something (my cycles back then were usually 29/30 days, obv no idea how long that one would have been as AF never came :) )

Didn't use them this time, until this last cycle - wanted to give it a good go for a couple of reasons (pg before dd and new dd in the summer, so half an chance of my DM coming to visit) and also just because my cycles had been irregular since mc - anything from 26 this time to 36! So I know that this time I got the + on CD14 - which would suggest that I have a relatively short LP?

not sure what to do, if anything....... other than keep trying! Wink

hugs to those who need them!

Sparklywine · 08/06/2011 13:01

Hi, no news, just munching happily on a Kitkat.....homhomhom.

wombatinwaiting · 08/06/2011 13:17

Chuck one over here would you sparkly? Mind you, I was horrified on the scales this morning to discover I have put on 5kg in 16 weeks Shock Blush and a bit Angry at myself for not being more sensible with portion sizes.... I don't think I've been too bad with what I've been eating, but I've definitely been eating more.....

Not an expert by any means wellie but I think that means you have a long LP as this time it would have been 22 days.... I have read on other posts that less than 10 is not ideal so even before last pg, you still had LP of 11 or 12 days.... like I said, Im def not an expert! And yes, keeping at it is prob the best advice.

Sorry to read you've been feeling under the weather and down pecka - bug hugs from me x

My DD is on 10th so I sincerely hope that tomorrow's scan is ok. I have absolutley nothing to suggest it won't be, but have been seriously up and down these last couple of days and not sleeping so well either.

Hope you have a good doc's appointment emma. If you're anything like me, I need a list of questions or I'll forget to ask something. Keep us posted.

Good news on the continued sickness yellow and good going on the "herbs for ulcer" ploy - it must be all that secret agent training.... agree with worm - don't let your stomach go empty!

Hope you're not feeling too panicky worm - remind me how far through you are again?

Hi to marathon, harassed and the very quiet och - hope all is ok.

OP posts:
MarathonMama · 08/06/2011 13:24

harassed yup nearly 5 months to get a bump. I was marathon training before I got pregnant and kept running until about 5 months so think there was some muscle holding it in. By the time I'd got to term however, you could have mistaken me for the michelin man, seriously, I was MASSIVE (if I could make the letters bigger I would). I put on 3.5 stone, which on a 8 stone frame is not flattering. Even Brucey would have been jealous of my chins; don't even get me started on cankles. I loved it though and really missed being pg.

Hi worm - I haven't got a clue what's happening with my cycle. I'm 26 days post erpc, I had some fairly heavy spotting last week for a day and have had AF-like cramps randomly ever since and some very minor spotting. I did one of those hyper sensitive HPTs yesterday (on the instruction of the epu) and it was BFN so no idea what's going on. I found doing the test really made me low though. I suppose there was a vague hope that I could be pg, although we haven't really been trying. Have been feeling quite ok about it all until then but it did make me realise that I'm going to have to be patient and bide my time. I'm not known for my patience though.

I'm hoping that we do get started you ladies will be the font of all knowledge about EWCM (got it right this time?), OPKs etc etc. I bought 20 OPKs yesterday but haven't used them before so tips would be appreciated. I just hope my blinkin' AF makes an appearance some time soon so that we can get started...

Waves to all and bites the end off Sparkly's KitKat (sorry, couldn't resist, it's the best bit).

Sparklywine · 08/06/2011 19:31

I was saving that bit!

You 8 stone show-off you! I don't think I've been that weight since I was that age! No-one has weighed me yet so I have no idea how much weight I have put on, I'm going by number of chins (still just the two Grin) and whether the wedding ring fits (it does) as my face and fingers put on weight first.
I have had a headache on and off since Sunday; gawd bless MN though, I typed '13 weeks pregnant headaches' into the search facility and blow me if I didn't get loads of threads about blinding headaches at 13 weeks. So am much reassured, have bought some 4-Head and will try to resist taking anything in the way of pills. I think anything that can alter my brain to rid itself of pain might find also find sparklybean's brain and do something to it. Can I add that this is on no medical basis whatsoever but is my skewed logic, and also makes me feel all virtuous and hippy-like.

Oooh, talking of which, pictures of the two kittens now uploaded, they are coming on a treat since we cured Finky of her amoebic dysentry Grin

yellowtomato · 08/06/2011 19:34

My cycles were pretty much all over the place the last 5 or 6 months which I thought might be indicating early menopause! I had a very clear ewcm signal to indicate ov was due in 48hrs. I found opk's to be very unreliable, I got diff results am and pm and it often disagreed with my ewcm. I found temping v useful to confirm ov date and be able to tie that to ewcm.

The acu also advised me to take baby aspirin. Should I?

Waves to all

emmaandthestar · 08/06/2011 20:03

Well, docs went well - she referred me back to the gyny and said that they will do blood tests etc - I am seeing her on Friday.

Sorry you are feeling so low Pecka although you don't know that it's AF for sure - wait until the fat lady :)

marathon I can sympathise - I am impatient and as I have said before the doc said to tone down the exercise which I am finding hard as I feel like I am putting on weight without even being pregnant :(

Hello to you all and I have got the message re drunken posts Yellow (mutters to myself, must do better)

wombatinwaiting · 09/06/2011 06:55

That's great re: the doc emma and that you are seeing gynae so quickly.

Don't start me on the exercise thing - I would love to be running still but super-paranoid about getting HR over 150 which means only power walking and about 5 mins jogging in 30 mins.... have def put on lots of weight without it Sad however it is all in a very good cause, so please don't think I'm moaning too much. What does "toning down" mean for you emma? Just the one marathon a week rather than two?! Grin

Aw your cats are tooooo cute sparkly - I was wondering how they were getting on. Did you get your toxo blood test in the end? I have had sporadic headaches too and even dared to take a panadol.... only twice though!

Re: asprin yellow - I am taking 75mg a day as advised by my ob/gyn. Her reckoning was that it couldn't do any harm although this is up for a bit of debate if you go googling. My skewed logic thought that I would regret it more if I didn't take it and ended up having m/c than if I didn't take it and ended up having m/c. I think I was tested after m/c2 for clotting and it came back clear so no real reason to put me on it other than "it might help". Plus the 400mg progesterone daily as well. Could be that this has helped this time or it may have been ok anyway.... of course, I am freaking myself out that it may have all gone wrong by the time this afternoon's scan rolls around.... let's see. Hope this info helps anyway and your acu seems to have served you well so far.

Waves to all and proffers waffles and maple syrup.

Wormshuffler · 09/06/2011 07:50

Morning Everyone
Best of luck for your scan today wombat enjoy it!
yellow I bought baby asprin and took it for a few weeks, all the google info I saw said it wouldn't do any harm, but could do good for you. I only stopped taking when I went on anti-biotics as I got a bit worried about taking too many pills, I'm paranoid about mixing things!
My pregnecare has ran out, I am still taking b vitamins with added folic acid, do we all think pregnecare is worth while? I hate how much it costs, but if it does good don't mind. What do you reckon? They didn't have such things when I had My DC's.
Feeling low today, hardly any symptoms , booking in on saturday when I plan to mental enough to get a scan fingers crossed.

yellowtomato · 09/06/2011 08:33

Good luck with the scan wombat what time is it?

I have been taking pregnacare for nearly 3 years, not going to stop now! Am finding it harder to swallow now though.

I got called for my booking in appt and it is a group appt for 2 hours that only ever takes place during the week at 1pm, how random and nit helpful for work
