Morning,

Sorry I didn't get on yesterday, it was my day "off" and no internet at home until tomorrow!!! Yaaaay!!

yellow I'm taking aspirin because wombat is Grin! Figured I'd give anything a go tbh. My bloods also came back clear, and I told my gp I was taking it and she said as long as I have no stomach probs it'll be ok. You can buy 75mg aspirin in Boots etc, it's says it's for heart attack and stroke people. Pregnacare and the like make my ms a million times worse.... Booking in appt sounds pants! I've never heard of that before.

wombat good luck for today!!!

MrsB sorry you're feeling down, and hope a little better today.

Sparkly I've also had thumping headaches for the last couple of weeks. Had one yesterday actually. Horrid!

All ok here apart from major mentalling! I'm so so worried about tomorrow Sad. Scan isn't until 2.55, so if it's all gone wrong I can just see me being left in limbo all weekend....

Sorry not to name check everyone....memory is totally shot!

Good luck with your scan today harrassed, xx
Will pop back on later, when I'm actually awake, this depressed ill lark is even depressing me now!!!

harassedinherpants · 09/06/2011 11:37

mrsb, it's wombat today and me tomorrow.... Get some more rest lovely, hope you're being looked after x

wombatinwaiting · 09/06/2011 11:55

Sending hugs and some get-well medicine to mrsb and ditto to what harassed has said in being looked after.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies - appt at 4 my time, 1 your time so lots of time to mental about it.... well, actually been quite busy villa hunting again - the lovely one fell through - boo.....

I was taking just folic acid up to week 12 when I was advised to go onto pregnacare which I did reluctantly as I have real pill-swallowing issues and so I invested in a pill crusher! I take one swilled in some sort of liquid daily although I think I lose half of it when picking out the coating and the rest seems to get stuck to the side of the glass - hmm.... I think if you generally eat a balanced diet, including plenty of fresh fruit and veg and some fish, you're pretty much covered.... so I think worm you'll be covered with everything you're taking. Hugs to you for feeling low and remember the mantra "symptoms come and go"- easier said than done, I know.

Hugs too for harassed for the mentalling - you've been pretty sick with this one which has been a good sign for you in the past.

How is the sickness yellow? Booking in sounds truly dreadful.....

OP posts:
mrsb33 · 09/06/2011 12:23

Whoops sorry, blame it on my illness!! Good luck today wombat. And harrassed for tomorrow. And girls thx for the concern. Love you lots xx

yellowtomato · 09/06/2011 14:31

Fingers crossed for you wombat and harassed I can totally understand the mental, I will be climbing the walls before mine. I can't offer any advice but will be thinking of you.

mrsb33 thinking about you too and sending you lots of hugs. Hope you feel better soon.

Sickness comes and goes but seems to be helped by constant eating, savoury stuff like sanwiches, fruit doesn't have the same affect. Picked up herbs today and they are most stinky so not sure how easy it will be to drink!

wombatinwaiting · 09/06/2011 15:21

Yuk - stink herbs don't sound like they'd go well with ms....

And good news..... wombatbean is measuring spot on still and everything seems to be in the right place etc. Sonographer was happily showing us the brain etc. and DH and I were both silently shouting "show us the HB"!! Anyway, he got there in the end to much relief from all Smile. He is measuring 11.8 cm and legs still appear to be long compared to the rest of him. We got to see him in 3D too but I wouldn't recommend it - quite ugly at this stage! I say he as we are making the assumption it will be based on DH being 1 of 3 boys and he has had 3 boys himself.

And breathe....! Smile

I left a message on the Freak Out thread, but I'm sooo pleased for you!!

Yellow I found savoury was the only way to go at first, I moved onto fruit 2-3 weeks ago. Mainly melon....could live on the stuff tbh. I do find the odd sugary thing helps when I've had a bit of a head rush.

mrsb33 · 09/06/2011 15:53

Fab news wombat!!! X

harassedinherpants · 09/06/2011 15:55

Hmmmm have just found out that an ex colleague is working for our direct competitors..... that explains quite a few things

Wormshuffler · 09/06/2011 17:08

Grin for a great scan wombat your turn next harassed

I am liking that you have a bit of sickness alot yellow(although I'm not actually glad that you feel poo!)as this was something you didn't have last time? good sign I reckon! Group booking in hey? thats a new one by Me! I can see why it would make sense from a cost cutting point of view , but there must be some one on one time for the bloods to be taken? And when are you supposed to get your mentalling in to the midwife?? Where I live we have a midwife led centre where you can only give birth if absolutely no complications, really tiny, only 5 beds and home within 4 hours! it's the same as the criterea for a home birth actually. Well anyway, our booking in is done there, and if anyone comes in, in labour you have to wait and be booked in inbetween MW checking up on birthing mother! I won't be able to give birth there as I am "a queer shape" and my DC's had to be CS after trying labour twice.

Sending positive vibes to you mrsb for a speedy recovery .
Waves to all else x

Wormshuffler · 09/06/2011 17:09

harassed only 6 more months then your ex colleagues antics won't be your concern for a bit Grin

Sparklywine · 10/06/2011 08:48

Great news Wombat, he's getting big now! What a relief. Good luck with this afternoon Harassed, we're all thinking of you.
Have bought in some croissants and President butter for brekkie, dh bought it on 2for1 in Tesco and thinks we have very much gone up in the world as a result Grin

yellowtomato · 10/06/2011 09:06

Hurrah wombat such great news.

Still feeling sick but it is ok as long as I am constantly eating! I don't think I'll ho to that booking in appt, I can't really explain to work why I need 2 hours off in the middle of the day. I am still on my probation period and don't get sick pay yet.

Thinking of you today harassed

Right last morning at work, must crack in

wombatinwaiting · 10/06/2011 09:27

Thanks for all the lovely messages ladies - your support means a huuuuuge amount.

Had to Grin at you being described as a "queer shape" worm! Makes me think you are an oompah loompah or something! Love the sound of the midwife-led centres - no such thing here sadly.

Ooooh President butter sparkly! Please thank Mrs Parkly for his contribution in bringing the thread up to proper standards Grin. Mind you with a son with a name like Monty, I wouldn't expect anything less!

Any decision on the asprin yellow? Don't want to put you under any additional pressure but my ob/gyn said to take it as soon as I could.... although do hide it from the inlaws as I have a feeling ulcers and asprin don't mix - how's the research going on that front?!

Waves to all and lots of positive thoughts to harassed for this afternoon x

MarathonMama · 10/06/2011 12:20

Hi all,

Wombat, fab news about the scan! Harassed, lots and lots of luck for this afternoon.

My AF arrived today, I was so pleased to see it, DH was slightly perturbed that I wasn't grumbling at him this morning (in my usual "the painters are in" stylee). I guess that means I'm on CD1 (Have I got that right?). So when do I start weeing on these sticks? It says day 6 on the box but that seems very soon.

Very interesting about the Aspirin. Two people have mentioned that to me since my miscarriage. I'd be interested to hear what the research says.

Right, lunch time, I'm craving meat today but only have BBQ Beef Hula Hoops so they'll have to do...

wellieboots · 10/06/2011 13:09

wombat, fab news on the scan, are you feeling a bit better now that you've got that out of the way? :)

marathon when you start with the sticks depends on how long your cycle normally is - most of them usually have some kind of chart in the instructions telling you when to start - and on the sperm meets egg plan they tell you to start at day 10 - I wouldn't start at day 6 unless you normally have a short cycle

harassed hope the scan goes ok - thinking of you

yellow yay for the sickness in the nicest sense possible

mrsb hope you are feeling a bit better

waves to sparkly worm emma and anyone else!

Wormshuffler · 10/06/2011 15:40

Just popped in to see if we have a non-harassed harassed Grin after your scan.

Hi marathon glad you can finally get back to normal a bit now, yed you are indeed on CD1!

wombat yes I am interested to see what it actually says in my notes about My queer shape, I wonder if they will have them at my booking in tomorrow or not.

Hi wellie how is aussie life treating you? are you settling in yet?

So my nausea has pretty much gone now as has my tiredness, in fact I actually have energy today, boobs still mahossive and sore though so not all symptoms gone, will save my mentalling for the MW tomorrow. Do you need to take a sample to booking in?

So I have been lurking on a due in jan thread, and they are not like you guys at all!! a totally different seeming bunch, boring if truth be told. I posted once to say I was lurking, thus not to be a peeping tom, and said I didnt want to go on lists as I thought it was painful to come off them, and now that is coming true for some of them.........6 have so far MC'd :( and there names are listed at the bottom. I find it a bit insensitive to be honest.

Sparklywine · 10/06/2011 16:01

Ha, Worm, I popped onto a Due in December and there was a bit too much lol action going on for my liking I shall stick with you guys, I'd rather it was a bit staggered, Wombat is going to send me on all her expensive purchases, ain't you Womby Grin

harassedinherpants · 10/06/2011 17:24

Sorry, I'm here!! Def a not so harassed harassed. All was good!!! Little arms and legs waving about, he/she measures 55mm which is pretty good going from 18mm 3weeks ago. Because of the length they've brought my dates forward again, so now due on Dec 22nd! Bound to be late though so my money is still on a January baby.

Just told dd and she's ecstatic! I think she had a good idea because she makes comments about my fat tummy having a baby in, but her little face is a picture. Lots of tears here.....I'm so emotional at the moment.

Thanks for all the support it really has helped loads x

Sparklywine · 10/06/2011 19:05

Aw, Harassed, that's lovely news. I'll be sure and pass on Wombat's pricey gear when I'm done Grin

emmaandthestar · 10/06/2011 19:54

Harrassed that's such good news that's a pretty good size!!

I went to the docs and she is doing some lood tests to check hormone levels etc later on this month to check I ovulated and has promised me something (i presume stick it up your fanjo pills) if I do fall pregnant.

Feel like a real fraud as it's only been 5 months and some here took a lot longer but my cycles were out of whack and the stress of not being pregnant by my due date is breaking our hearts...

Yellow long may you be pukey!! (you know what I mean)

Waves to all with a big glass in one hand

Wormshuffler · 10/06/2011 20:05

Aww you had to mention wine emma I could murder one! Good to hear you have helpful docs!
Great news on the scan harassed My DD should be 12th jan but may be early as I will need a elcs which they may do earlier, so that means we could be birthday buddies!
You do make me laugh thinking I'm some minted lady of the gentry sparkly!

yellowtomato · 10/06/2011 23:02

Good work on the wine drinking Emma there is no way I could even take a sip right now [puke emotion]

Hurrah for harassed so pleased for you.

Thanks for the concern wombat I have started on the aspirin and evil herbs and still on the pregnacare. Still feeling sick all day long but trying not to get my hopes up. At least I'm on holiday next week so can catch up with my sleep.

Must go to sleep now!

But ladies you realise we only have about 25 posts left, we don't want to lose each other.
