If you are TTC after Miscarriage (or waiting to start trying again), this is the place to be. This thread is full of lots of lovely ladies on the post MC rollercoster and is full of support and advice from people who have been through it, and know what you are going through.
Jump on board and join in the for some laughter, crying or even the odd ranting (whatever you need). There?s lots of Wine, Brew (caffeine free of course Smile ) and chocolate, and more importantly, friendly ?ears?.

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Don?t be afraid to ask anything ? nothing is ever TMI!!!

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

Hoping it's not af, no more blood is good. Holding out till weds.... You've got better will power than me ! Grin

Well from what I read today if there is an embryo implanting it'll only just have started making hcg so even though my heart says test my head says hold off...I doubt I'll actually last until weds though!

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 21:46

Yes that's good timing for implantation bleeding. I hope it is! Smile

I know cramps are ok. Just can't help worry. The sharp pains have stopped now though, which is good. Plan to take my 2nd digi test at the end of the week as it should go up to 2-3 weeks (crapping it in case it doesn't)

Yes both of us (dh) want a scan at 8 weeks. Our baby stopped growing at 9.3weeks but we're away then and I'd prefer one earlier. I know there are no guarantees if the scans is ok all will be fine, but at that stage I think you should be able to see enough, and the strength of the heartbeat might give us some indication of how it's going.

Not that I want to encourage you but I tested at 7dpo Blush with a FR and it was a bfn. I just left it on the side and forgot about it. I got my first line at 11 dpo. It was only as I was comaring 11 & 12 dpo (OCD I know) that I picked up my 7 dpo test and looked really closely could I see the faintest of lines. dh could see it too though. I think it maybe took a day to come through as my lines tend to be stronger after sitting there for the day. If you think you can handle a bfn on a test I think sat or Sunday wouldn't be too early to test..... If you wanted to xx

Not that I am encouraging you! Confused

Ninunina · 23/03/2011 22:03

Mellie I didn't get an implantation bleed this time round, but I got some pinkish cm at 10 dpo last time, and then go a BFP three days later.

This time round i got my BFP at what I think was only 10 dpo (and had a hint of line at 9dpo)

Fx that you'll get a BFP!

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 22:07

how was Malta Hun? Did you tell the family? We're they thrilled or did you get a lecture? Lol

so busy on t'other thread I missed you x

OP posts:
Ninunina · 23/03/2011 22:19

Hi collie, How are you feeling hun? I've got cramps too...sometimes can be quite sharp. Malta was fabulous! My family were so excited! I also told my best friend and another friend who's just had a little girl, and was hoping we'd be able to bring up our kids together.

I also wanted to tell one of my other friends, but I didn't feel the timing was right. She's been having a hard time ttc (V bad PCOS), and I didn't want her to think I got pg at the drop of a hat since I don't think shes expecting me to get pg so soon after a mc (doctors in Malta generally say to wait 3 months before ttc).

I really hope this bean sticks. I did a couple of digi tests and pg hormones seem to be rising well. Yesterday's one showed 3+ weeks, so I won't be able to do anymore for reassurance. Going to EPU for a dating scan on Saturday- so Fx that all will be ok.

Collie2 · 23/03/2011 22:31

Aww that's lovely so glad they are pleased. Will you raise you dc in Malta do are your friends here?

I hope these are sticky ones too! How come you have such an early dating scan?

I'm ok. It's been a really sad week but i've been back to work today, and as much as I didn't want to be there, having lovely kind colleagues around helpped. They're taking me for a lovely coffee (decaf) abd cake at pizza express tomorrow lunch! Smile

OP posts:
Ninunina · 23/03/2011 22:51

I'm so glad to hear that your colleagues have been taking care of you. I find that the thought of going back to work can be hard, but actually turns out to be good therapy.

I'm planning to move back to Malta later in the year. I have friends here, but I can't imagine raising a family away from my family and friends. DH has never lived in Malta, but is excited about trying it out. We bought a house there and are now really eager to live in it.

My gp is insiting on an early scan since I didn't get a period after my mc. Apparently my local hospital gets full really quickly, and he can't book me in until I have date. I'm not complaining.

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 00:29

collie thanks for keeping me a bean bag, I hope I'll be (gingerly) sitting on it soon!

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 00:46

Okay, ive taken the plunge and ordered 10 cheapie tests and 2 cb digis from amazon, they won't arrive till tues/weds because I went for free delivery so I won't be tempted!

Chloe55 · 24/03/2011 08:53

harrassed I am so so sorry Sad life is so cruel sometimes.

ninu glad your friends and family were excited. That must be a weight off your mind too.

melies Ok, so your tests will prob arrive tomorrow or sat latest so I will be checking on you over next couple of days. If you are anything like me you justify POAS early as they were so cheap Grin

Cep Hope you got a bit more sleep, have youhad any progress with your dc's sleep pattern yet?

Waves to everyone else this morning. Off shopping now to get a lovely bedspread complete with cusions and pillows etc (one of those fancy over the top throws) which I have always wanted and never been allowed due to them not being a necessity Hmm Anyway, my birthday money so my choice!

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 08:54

Morning all.

I'm still in a state of confusion...I had more mucousy pink loss this morning, enough to make me get out a sanitary towel but certainly not normal af and it's more yellowy again now. I'm feeling really negative this morning (maybe because I'm tired after being up all night at work!) but if this carries on I'll have been bleeding for 4 weeks in 6...how am I meant to get pg under these conditions?! And if my cycles are now only 3 weeks (or 19 days this month) I must have barely any luteal phase. But then I've got no pmt symptoms (sore boobs, my spots have cleared up) no period pain, just occasional left mild cramps and this bleeding isn't really proper blood. But surely it's too much to be implantation?!!! Sorry for the rant but all this is doing my box in. I just want a baby, everyone else is pg why not me (well feels like that anyway)

Hope everyone else is having a better morning x

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 08:57

X post chloe enjoy your shopping, I'm not allowed that stuff either because my dh doesn't want a 'girls bedroom'!

Collie2 · 24/03/2011 11:01

Oh mels I'm sorry this is getting you down. I don't really know what to say. Its horrid that your body teases you this way. The bloody cm really could be a positive thing, but I don't want to get your hopes up too much either yet ad is might not. If your not properly bleeding though your still in your luteal phase so don't worry about that being to short.

Breath, have some Brew >

Have you had some sleep since work? I hope you're feeling better.

OP posts:
Collie2 · 24/03/2011 11:02

shopping sounds lovely. I want one of those bed throws but for similar reasons haven't got obe Sad v Envy

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 24/03/2011 11:11

It looks gorgeous Wink Needs ironing though Hmm And at £49.99 for the throw, 2 pillow cases and 3 different shaped cushions in satin cream and black I thought it was a bargain!

melies Sorry you are having a low day. It is all a bit odd Confused However, last month, not sure if you remember but I started bleeding at exactly the same point as you more or less with exactly the same type of bleeding then a week later (after having bloody discharge everyday) I got AF as I expected. I think this was due to the Clomid though. It could just be a slight hormonal imbalance due to the MC that is causing it. I hope I am wrong though and as they say, it ain't over til the red bitch sings Wink

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 13:09

Sorry for the rant...I blame hormones/lack of sleep. I've just woken up, dd will be crashing through the door like a herd of elephants home any minute so im awake. No more bleeding but i'm assuming it'll tease me again when I'm up and about properly. Thanks for trying to calm me down!

Chloe that sounds lovely, and a bargain!

meliesmummy · 24/03/2011 13:11

Ps collie enjoy your lunch, sounds nice.

harassedinherpants · 24/03/2011 13:22

Hello...... chocolate filled, hormonal and a bit of a mess today. So am at home on the sofa with crap on the tv. For one day only then I need to get my act together. Off to see the doc later and demand ask nicely for some tests. Any ideas what to ask for initially??

chloe oooh I've always wanted one of those throws and cushions..... not sure it's me though. Yours sounds lovely, I think we'll need a pic of your bed!

mel aarrghh at more pinkness! I had if for a couple of days before I got my bfp in Dec, first time ever. So hard to tell with our bodies, fingers x'd for you.

Nin fingers x'd for you too lovely!

collie thanks for your lovely message on the other thread, and am glad to hear you're being well looked after.

cep · 24/03/2011 14:30

Afternoon All.

Thanks for all the queries regarding ds, the answer is no. awake 12:00 - approx 14:30 this morning. would only lie still if i was in the room with him, everytime i left he screamed, so ended up staying with him for most of the 2.5 hours. Trying something new tonight and if that doesn't work, i'm taking the damn chest of drawers out of his room.

mel sorry you're a bit down this morning, i hope you're feeling a bit better now. am keeping fx that bloody cm is implantation.

hihp do you want moving onto the list again? not sure what tests to ask for, may be worth posting in the recurrent mc thread they'd be able to give you some advice.

ninu glad your trip went well.

chloe sounds like your shopping trip was a great success.

collie glad work is looking after you.

sorry if i've missed anyone.

harassedinherpants · 24/03/2011 14:41

Oh god cep it sounds awful, and he sounds terrified poor thing Sad. Hope it works tonight, and if not I'd def take the drawers out.

Yes please to moving onto the list.....can't quite bring myself to do it Sad. I've been googling and found lots of infor for docs later. The hospital said yesterday that they won't do tests until I've had 3 mc's with dh (1st was with an ex), but I don't want another one, I want to know now!!!

Chloe55 · 24/03/2011 14:50

harrassed I think you do right to give yourself some time to let it all out. I wondered when it might hit you as you appeared quite calm yesterday Sad I hope you start to feel better for a good cry and lots of chocolate but remember that the trivial stuff can wait, make sure you are well enough to face the world first.

cep If you were one of the northern girls I would come and paint a nice calming mural for your ds but unfortunately you are too far away! I know it doesn't help you or sound like it at the moment but it is a phase and he will get better Smile Whenever ds was afraid I told him his fish (which were on the wall at the time) looked after him whilst he was sleeping. Could you buy ds a nice new teddy or something to sleep with and try and convince him that he will look after him through the night so he never needs to be scared but if he is he just needs to snuggle into nice new teddy?

melie Don't apologise for your rant - we are here to listen Smile

Had a lovely day today, shopping this morning then lunch with a friend in the sunshine this aft. I have another job too - next wed/thur/fri and the full week after. Am kinda pleased and kinda apprehensive as the final week will either be the time I need to start back on the meds which wipe me out or pg, hoping for the latter but if that's the case then I will not want to be vet nursing with all the lifting etc.

cep · 24/03/2011 14:54

that's awful, what difference does it make who the ptnr is? the point is you had 3. Sorry to ask but do you want to go on the wttc? or ttc? as my mc was later not sure how it works when at 5 weeks.
