This is the place to be for all those wanting to TTC after miscarriage, or have plans on TTC in the relatively near future. This thread is full of support from people who have been there and no how you are feeling so jump on board and share the Wine and chocolate (or water and celery for those of you off alcohol and caffeine Wink)

The thread moves fast so bob in and out as you please. Ask any questions that have been niggling you or that you are concerned about, perhaps someone here has experienced the same in the past.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

This is the old thread ref:

Lovely new thread Chloe - thank you - FX it brings you and lots of others BFP!

Lovely bedroom too - DD will be so excited.Grin

Mummya thank you for you support Smile so pleased you are going to lurk, was feeling guilty that us newbies had taken over the thread. FX for you and a happy valentines day!

Mumtum I think AandR and mummyA are right - this might help
www.pregnancyloss.info/waitingforaf.htm
My EPU told me that new AF would look like fresh blood - so most likely that anything more brown in colour is sadly left over.

AndR hope you are ok FX they are symptoms. X

Would write more but pesky cat has decided keyboard is a good place to lounge so will go and make tea.

Smile Lily annoying aren't they!

oh and meant to say ninu I went swimming and had loads of baths when I was mid m/c (I thought it'd stopped - hmm.. found out later it hadn't even really started!) bcs didn't realise I shouldn't - until I read the interweb. Then freaked out. I was fine, and am sure you will be.
Just watch out for the signs of infection - fever, pain, fluey symptoms and if you get any of them get back to EPU or GP as soon as you can for a check up and antibiotics. Take care x

Hello all!

I actually had loads of baths whilst still bleeding. I'm not saying that it's ideal, just maybe don't panic unless ytou get infection symptoms ie, chills, bad smelling discharge, fever etc.

Also this was my best miscarriage website. Hope that it may help people.

Blackkat Yes, mine either walks on the keyboard or sits upright between the keyboard and the screen! Occasionlly he chases the cursor too....

Hello, just popping in check out the new thread. Very nice Smile

not much news from me. Just finishing af. Going out to a posh resturant with dp tonight for our 4 years together anniversary so a bit excited Grin

do come and say hello sometimes mummya or I will miss you! You were one of the regulars who really got me through the difficult times after my mc. I hope you get your bfp soon!

mumtum if you have had your post mc bfn then you can start to ttc if you really feel you are ready. I wasn't really up for trying to hard straight after having my mc but on the other hand once I had a bfn and new everything was clear I didn't do anything to stop me getting preg, just didn't try very hard.

Ninunina · 11/02/2011 19:44

Ohhh, my 2 cats used to do that all the time. They used to make it a point to sit and cover what ever it was that was taking my attention away from them (keyboard, text books, boyfriends...)
I miss my cats Sad I can't get another one since DH is super allergic to them.

Thanks for the bath advice ladies.

Just popping in to mark my place and hand out some more Wine

Like mummya I've been posting more on the long-term ttc after mc common room thread, which I hope no one will take offence at - but eight months after mc'ing a bfp that took nearly three years to get I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm probably in it for the long haul and "just mc" isn't really me anymore!

However I will be popping in on you to see how you're getting on and join in any more 80s discos Grin so please keep me on the list. Hopefully one day I'll be coming in to report some good news!!

This really is a fantastic thread, and the level of support you get here is amazing. I hope you all get as much from it as I have had, and continue to get. Although hopefully you won't be here quite as long! Grin

I'll be keeping my fx to see you moving up that list and onto the bfps very soon xxx

Hi Ladies!

ohh exciting new thread! Although does feel a bit strange and bare! Let's hope that this is the lucky one for us Grin

Thanks collie for adding me to the list extra info is TTC #2 and UCL 34 days. I have a DD who is 2 1/2 & supercute and would love a baby sister or brother lets hope I can deliver!

Well I think my AF has now finished, although that is only 3/4 days which seems quite short. Going to start the smeg plan soon. Feeling quite positive at the moment and I'm focusing on getting that BFP.

Saw discussion about drinking (sorry don't know how to get wine symbol!) I've been reading Zita Wests' book and she says it's ok to drink on period and up to ovulation but once ovulation takes place not to drink at all. Not sure about that one I look forward to a cheeky one (or 2) at the weekend.

Lovely new thread Chloe hope its lucky for you

Hope no one is offended that I am "leaving" - as you can see already its a loose termGrin About 7 months ago when I first joined the thread the 6th form common room thread was just started up because a lot of oldies vintage TTCers felt the same as I do now. I too worried I had scared them off with newbie chatter! Anyway, I will pop back, I am on MN far too often and far too nosey a person not too!

and Brew Brew Brew Brew Brew for TTCers! xxxxx

I also remember when the common room first started and feeling quite Sad and that we had somehow offended those moving over. It's really not like that, believe me, you lot are fab and while it's obviously very Sad to see so many new people here, it's lovely to see the thread regenerate and the support continue. But - as the title suggests - this thread is supposed to be for those who are restarting their ttc journey and that just doesn't fit me right now. I hope that makes sense - as you can see you're not really getting rid of me at all Grin

For those of you engaged in the Wine debate, I have to say if I had abstained for the entire time we had been in various stages of ttc since dd was born I would have been teetotal for about 4 years now and would probably have gone completely mental. It's great if you conceive fairly easily but if you're like me - and don't - then you just have to get on with normality after a while or go crazy obsessing Grin

On that note Wine to all...

oldies I'm sorry you've felt you need to move threads I understand why but feel dreadful you've been ousted from here. Starting to get to know you these past few weeks has been lovely and I've appreciated your support. I hope at the move to the common room is a lucky charm for you.

velvet really sorry about the new thread that's totally my fault I hope it didn't upset you. mummya just mentioned we needed a new one and being the newbie didn't want to be the one so suggested chole as she posted. Hope it's not why you've left Sad

hiding hope your posh dinner was yummy. Congrats on your anniversary!

LILI glad your AF has finished. Think I have another day left of mine but I too am feeling in better spiritss and looking forward to giving SMEG ago this month.

Just to add to the wine, chocolate and coffee debate Here is an Interesting article The FSA also has some good advice and there is a thread on it all at the moment.

I have had two pregnancies which I sailed through - I drank in moderation (but by chance had had a huge binge drink just before finding out I was pregnant both times Blush ), I ate pretty much everything, and I rode my bike until I was 38 weeks pregnant (much easier than being on the tube or bus). I had two 10lb very healthy DDs. My DMum and DSis-in-L (20 dcs between them) are just bewildered by the amount of advice that it out there now. I am fighting hard to keep my sensible hat on with all the advice we have bombarded on us. It is so hard to fight against the 'just in case' feeling but I think given that it is a longer rockier road this time it is even more important for me to keep living life as I have always done and to take the raft of advice dumped on us with a huge pinch of salt!
