olis hope you're ok.

collie good luck for today.

brooke that's disgusting, he has no right to challenge you infront of your colleagues.

Well i had watery red on wipe this morning (no no2) was weird did wee wiped no blood, wiped again and watery red, (of course kept wiping at this point) and a few wipes of lighter watery red. needed another wee a bit later and no blood. why would i only bleed in the fmu? (fx that's it for today) still feeling sick, doesn't seem fair. dh already reckons we're going to lose it. Sad

Ninunina · 16/03/2011 07:00

ceo I don't want to scare you, but watery blood could be a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy. I think you need to call your gp straight away. I'm sure it's not it, but you need to have it checked.

cep · 16/03/2011 07:08

i've not been getting any stomach pains with it, infact since i turned 6 weeks my odd aches seem to have stopped. I've got a scan on monday, epu won't do me before 7 weeks.

Ninunina · 16/03/2011 07:17

You know your body best. I'm glad you don't have any pain. That is a good sign. If you get any more, maybe just call to be sure. They will treat it as an emergency if the feel there is a chance it's an ep.

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 07:29

Hi everyone! Just realised I've got my pre seed mixed up with conceive plus and made up my own name for it, the boots version I bought is called conceive plus. Once we got over the giggles it was fine, not sticky which is what I was worried about!

Good luck today collie, sounds stressful!

Sorry you're still bleeding Cep, could you go and ask for hcg levels if they won't scan you? Did you have watery blood your last pg? Could it be in your wee rather than from up there? In which case it could be a uti, maybe get a urine sample sent to make sure? It's important to treat utis during pg.

Hi to everyone else!

cep · 16/03/2011 07:43

mel round here it'll take a few days to get the blood app, so i wouldn't get hte results till next week anyway. I was wondering about a uti, i do get them quite often, and had 1 in last pg although no i didn't get watery blood with it. I might try and see if i can get another appointment to check a uti out, see what they say.

shorty100 · 16/03/2011 08:01

Morning, cep hope everything is o.k and next week doesn't take too long to come.

Well I took a test this morning and was bfn again, its really got me down this time. Doctors tonight though so will see what they say. X

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 08:58

just popping on quickly. cep is the blood in the urine? Does sound like could be a uti read this sounds like they are common in pg women. Also says first test is just a dip stick in your pee followed by more detailed test. It does say you should get it checked out asap, so I would wait for scan as I wouldn't think they'd test for it there.

oils I hope your feeling better this morning x

Chloe55 · 16/03/2011 09:04

cep I was gonna suggest poss uti aswell.

milky Great news on you and dh giving things another go, I hope it's 5th time lucky for you! Where you going on your hols?

shorty Sorry you feel Sad today. It's a horrible waiting game this TTC lark.

collie I have been out of work since Jan this year (my choice) and childminded before that but joined a locum vet nurse agency back in Jan too as thought that I should do some sort of work. Forgot all about it as not heard from them then they asked me to do this one day so I thought I may aswell go for it, it will also help me decide if I want to go back to my trained career or not I guess. It has unfortunately prompted my mum into thrusting all vet nurse jobs under the sun in my face again. She is struggling to understand why I would choose to be out of work at the moment (I come from a very hard working family ethos) but it is working for me at the moment and she forgets just how prone I am to MC with my medical problems so am not prepared to take any risks particularly with vet nursing and childminding, both careers that involve lots of lifting/kicking etc. At least with locum work I can pick and choose. I wouldn't mind but she also forgets that if I get a permanent position I won't be cleaning her house anymore! Grin

Woooaahh that rant came from nowhere! Blush

cep · 16/03/2011 09:20

collie good luck for today. i don't see it in the urine but it only seems to be (touch wood) on a wipe after fmu. I have to admit i don't remember getting blood with a uti before. When i went to the scans for bleeding during last pg they just said they didn't know where it was coming from, didn't test for anything. I'm waiting for the dr to call me back don't know if they'll test today but if i don't ask...etcetc. if it isn't at least i'll have crossed it off the list.

chloe ooh goodluck was it tomorrow you said?

cep · 16/03/2011 09:21

shorty sorry meant to say, sorry about the bfn, hope the dr can get some answers for you.

cep · 16/03/2011 11:48

I mentioned uti to dr over the phone, mentioned that i only seem to get this blood after fmu. he's sending off some urine and giving me some antibiotics (just incase as it were) should take 3 days for results to come back. (although last time they did a diptest in office and showed infection so don't know why have to send off this time.) They can then change antibiotics if needed.

Strangely am feeling positive today, is because i realised that at this point in time am only getting it after fmu. I could crash again later mind.

collie hope our presentation is going well.

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 12:01

cep glad gp looking into it. Glad you feeling more positive too Smile o was really Sad to read that you dh thought you would lose it this morn but I wondered if that's perhaps bcs he is trying to prepare himself for the worst, and not allowing himself to think positive in case of disappointment. Or maybe it's his way (given not the most sympatheic way) of trying to prepare you for the worst. Although I think a bit of reassurance would have been better Smile

thanks for good luck, not till after lunch. Have 'rehersed' though! Grin

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 12:05

Cep they will have sent it for microscopy (where they look for blood and white blood cells, if there are any they know there's some sort of infection) they would have the results for that straight away and then culture, when they grow any bacteria present, that takes 48 hours. They could dip it straight away in the surgery though, that would show up blood or protein (sign of infection) and maybe White blood cells depending on the type of sticks they've got.

meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 12:06

And the culture would tell them whether or not you are on the right antibiotics.

cep · 16/03/2011 12:20

mel they're not dipping at all at the surgery. doesn't worry me cause he's giving me tablets anyway, so at least i feel like i'm doing something.

collie trouble is he's going by past experiences. And i think like you said he doesn't want me to be getting my hopes up if there isn't any hope left.

Chloe55 · 16/03/2011 12:26

Good luck collie.

banana87 · 16/03/2011 14:30

shorty Sorry about your BFN :( Hope the GP is helpful tonight.

Cep Hope all is ok. FWIW, my friend had blood in her urine and had a UTI.

I caved and did a test last night, BFN of course (7 DPO). Temp has spiked today and chart looks tri-phasic (starting temps 98.8 x3, 99.1 x2, 99.3 x1...hope thats a good thing?

cep · 16/03/2011 17:19

banana 7dpo i'm sorry but i am going to have to give you this < . is good if temp stays high during the whole dpo period.

I hope it is have started the antib's now.

collie how'd it go??

shorty100 · 16/03/2011 17:35

Well going to the doctors was a big fat waste of time. All she said was it was normal and its not a problem, then kept lecturing me about the risks of not using contraception!! Wouldn't refer me to hospital either. Not sure what to do now and no one will listen. X

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 17:43

hi cep it went well thanks! Just home, head spinning. Woman on before me got a right grilling so I was glad they got that out of their system first! Grin they seemed to get the message, lots of the right noises, and even somone saying to my boss they'd have to rethink their opinion based on what I said.... Which was essentially the aim. So pat on the back for me Grin

glad you've got your antibiotics. No more blood?

chloe I remembered you'd childminded from your sad mc story. But I don't think there's anything wrong in you not being in work, especisllt given your concerns. Besides, lots of women (even working class like mine) stay at home with their little ones in the early years. My mum was a single mum having said that do couldn't really afford the choice.

Shorty sorry about your bfn. Not knowing what's going on is horrid. Let us know what doc says.

banana 7 dpo is v v early! I thought my 11 dpo was early! Smile I second ceps fish Grin

right I have to dash and feed myself and my cats. My nan had a fall last night and is now in hospital so got to get out for visiting hrs.

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 16/03/2011 17:46

shorty your gp sounds terrible! Can you see a different one at the surgery? What exactly are the dangers of not using contraception when tcc??!!!! Mine told me on Monday I shouldn't be trying until I said the epu said I could and then she changed her tune.

still early days banana

How did it go collie?

I worked out today that if I get pg next month I'll end up having the baby between Christmas and new year (I'll have a planned section at 39 weeks) hardly the best timing! Oh well, I guess I'd better get lucky this month! I've had what feels like ovulation cramps today.

I need to go and make some macorini cheese now, mmmmm..,,

Collie2 · 16/03/2011 17:46

X posts WTF shorty how dare gp lecture you on not using contraception! Noone has ever told me that post mc it's neccessary!

When I was discharged I was given the number of the epu ward and told to ring with any questions. Why don't you give them a call, don't mention the gp? X
