Donne thy robes and come join the hagges round a crackling fire made of ye olde pee sticks, as we run around nekkid, high on snorted baybeedust, and do our straynge erotick rituals on the altar of ye inconstant moon.

Come one, come all as we cast spelles and do any Magick we can finde on our queste for an elusive win.

Bring thy gynne for yon cauldron and help thyself to a laddle, as we prepare the incantationnes...

I know! What bizarre accident will befall mectomorrow?Have a bruised lady garden now! I'm having trouble with that link boo but always keen to hear about good books, what is it called?

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 22:50

Incendiary by Chris Cleave. It was marvellous.

I took some night nurse about half an hour ago and I can feel my eyes closing... brilliant stuff... I may sleep the sleep of the dead tonight.

fishandlilacs · 05/02/2011 22:53

"Bitteninthebeerverbyamr" I may have missed something but how did you end up with a bottle of beer projected into your fairymuff? Booby trapped eh?

Boo-sleep the sleep of princesses with no peas in your bed. Sadly i worked out Blue eyed boy very early on-it was an utter fluke train of thought and it ruined it a bit for me. Not her best work by far methinks.

NN ladeesh!

Truffkin · 06/02/2011 00:16

God have just seen the news about Amanda Holden miscarrying at 7 months. Heartbreaking Sad

AlpinePony · 06/02/2011 08:46

Aries When I was diffed the first time I had flutters in the womble from about 5DPO -I just knew I was diffed. Fell out though. Tsk.

fishles Fank ewe - although 'tis def not forevah house as we'll move back to Scotland at some point. Anyway - am always a bit Hmm about "forever house" and "perfect house" - I'm a bit "srsly? Your "dream house" was 200k and not 20 million - u can haz low asprashuns" Wink. Sorry if this offends - I am equally scathing of those who proclaim their partner is their "soulmate".

bitey No offence - but I'm warning Social Services about you because it's all a bit "yeh, I got the black eye from the kitten" and "I broke my arm on the fridge door" and "I walked in to a bookcase and broke my ribs"! Grin

Ivegotmrbitey · 06/02/2011 09:57

I know! I promise am not revealing abuse by stealth! I get clumsy when I have pmt so suspect the racing hormones and a speedy weight increase are to blame- I feel like a cat that outgrew its whiskass!

I have no idea how the bottle missed my middle and hit me square in the lady garden troutandorange Have a bruised bush now, wanna see?

Poor amanda Holden, is so frightening.

HighPriestessBoo · 06/02/2011 10:39

Very :( about AH. Is it called an MC when you are that far along?

Smallchild woke up at ridiculous o'clock. MrBoo is grumpy after looking after me yesterday and he is full of beans. It's not the happiest house here today.

This is my latest dream house.

This is very similar to our house.

Ariesgirl · 06/02/2011 10:56

I am really annoyed that the press are reporting it as a miscarriage. It was a stillbirth at 29 weeks surely. Poor poor things :(

My dream house - now there's something I could talk about for a while. Set back from a cliff path down to a cove, 3-4 beds (nothing too big), log burner PLUS radiators, big logpile outside in a quaint shed, rambling garden (which a gardener takes care of not me), big lovely old fashioned kitchen (again with a cook as part of the fixtures and fittings) and loads of books everywhere. And 2 kids playing in the garden of course. Nothing ostentatious - just comfortable.

Boo your house looks lovely. Your actual one I mean

Did you know (you undoubtedly don't) that once I actually walked into a door and had a black eye. I had to go and teach at school with a massive shiner saying "I walked into a door." I could feel the concerned looks from staff and parents and even children following me round the school. And once I actually slipped on a banana skin.

Ariesgirl · 06/02/2011 11:03

I don't know whether to be angry or triumphant. MrA went for a "dawnie" this morning. As we are now down to one car, this has more ramifications than it used to. He said "I promise I will be back by 11am". I scorned the claim that he could actually be back by a time he has said he will be back by. He insisted he would be and sulked that I had no trust in him. I told him that he has never once in ten years been back from a surf at a time he has said he will be back by. He said he definitely would be this time. Et cetera.

He isn't.

HighPriestessBoo · 06/02/2011 11:03

I used to live in that road actually. Our house isn't as modern looking inside though - lots of perios features. It is, as you have prob seen on t'other place pics, a big bohemian mess :o

I quite fancy your dream house too Rie! My actual achievable dream house would be this one, if we owned it and could spend some money on it - few extensions and sorting the garden. I love living here.

That's what I thought re AH- it is a stillbirth - it happened to my friend. And it was fucking tragic, no other way to describe it.

HighPriestessBoo · 06/02/2011 11:05

I'd go for angry and triumphant Rie :o

rocketleaf · 06/02/2011 11:25

I am also really annoyed by the BBC article. They obviously have no info so have padded by focusing on which celeb 'friends' of hers have twittered their sympathies. FFS this is probably the worst thing s woman could go thru and they are bleating on about something as trivial as fuckng twitter. Jesus. (sorry rant over)

boo your house is lovely! I really hope you can own it one day.

rie what can I say except 'typical'

Ariesgirl · 06/02/2011 11:56

He was back at 11.20. "I'm only a bit late" My point is why make promises which he should know he is probably incapable of keeping? Why not say "about 11 o' clock" instead of "by eleven"? Now he is in a mood because I am being petty. And I was in the shower when he got back and when I got down he was on the computer and a pile of washing was sat by the machine and the dishwasher needed emptying. Why not do those if he has been late? Angry

AIBU?

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 12:17

At 29 weeks it's not a miscarriage - poor woman :( I am also sick to death of reputable papers/BBC relaying 'twitterings' about things like this, instead of going to get quotes themselves (if they really must, I'd rather they didn't at all), it is lazy and irritating (I do not twitter, as you may have guessed).

Mr Boots has just buggered off windsurfing for the second day running. Yesterday he forgot to take his swimming trunks despite me reminding him. Classy.

Rie I also want your dream house. But I will settle for this one

Bitey wtf? You are queen of random injuries. I cannot challenge you, but I once gave myself two black eyes walking into a climbing frame. I am speshul.

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 12:20

Or this one

rocketleaf · 06/02/2011 12:23

Sidmouth tho booty? Maybe when you are 75 :o

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 12:34

I luff Sidmouth. It has the best cake shop evar.

Ariesgirl · 06/02/2011 12:36

If you go for the second one Pellet maybe you could ask them to leave the sofa? No really.

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 13:06

I was planning on relocating it to the porch then sitting on it with a shotgun telling folks to 'gerrof moi laaaand.'

Grin
rocketleaf · 06/02/2011 13:09

I love Sidmouth at folk festival time. Haven't been for years doh. If you buy that house I'll be camping in your back garden then boots

owlbooty · 06/02/2011 13:22
Grin
Truffkin · 06/02/2011 15:54

Am enjoying the house porn Grin

this little beauty is the house I am currently lusting after although it will be long gone before we are in a position to journey back to the centre of the earth. I like the idea of having the perfect house and working to make the inside match the loveliness of the outside.

Sorry for my ill-informed reference to Amanda Holden earlier. I was really just wanting to convey my sympathies so sorry if I offended by using the wrong term.

Rie have you managed to get any apologies or grovelling out of MrA yet? I should imagine there is something he could do for penance.

I am making stew today as it is the least amount of effort for something that at least semi-resembles Sunday lunch food. I had a long lie in and then was distracted by doing the Tesco shop online and then went on a house hunt (directed by this thread) so started it slightly later than planned. It has turned into dinner rather than lunch actually. At least there is lots of football on to distract TGB from my laziness.

HighPriestessBoo · 06/02/2011 16:04

I like Sidmouth. Used to live in Exmouth (3 years of college till I dropped out).

That sofa is certainly eye catching Wink

Chez Boo not much has changed. I slept well, and am marginally better. Bored shitless with tissues, olbas oil/tiger balm, sneezing and golf ball throat though Angry

HighPriestessBoo · 06/02/2011 16:06

ooh Truffs you didn't offend anyone, it's tabloids that get my goat in the way that they report such things.

That house is lovely. My Aunt lives near there.

Ariesgirl · 06/02/2011 16:24

Truffers my luvver you didn't offend anyone, don't worry about it

Nice house! I said, NICE HOUSE! (quote from The Untouchables. Sorry - v obscure indeed)
