Donne thy robes and come join the hagges round a crackling fire made of ye olde pee sticks, as we run around nekkid, high on snorted baybeedust, and do our straynge erotick rituals on the altar of ye inconstant moon.

Come one, come all as we cast spelles and do any Magick we can finde on our queste for an elusive win.

Bring thy gynne for yon cauldron and help thyself to a laddle, as we prepare the incantationnes...

brownie :( defo not to early for Wine under the circumstances. I wonder if they got the idea from reading us when Gin was all the rage. I think MrB is right, unfortunately even though, it will be prohibitive money-wise, small boy needs to know his dad tried. I could smack his ex though. grrrrh.

rie no my welsh friend told me about it a while ago. what is this 'one show" thou speakest of?

I was supposed to be making sup but istead I have written a [pattern for a crochet yoda, much more fun but not as nutritious.

Too much central heating gives me head aches. What is it with parents that they have to have the bloody thing on at 25 degrees all the time. My dad likes to sit in a short sleeve shirt in december, i always tell him to go and put a jumper on, talk about role reversal!!

rocketleaf · 05/02/2011 13:20

sup = soup fyi(bbqwtf)

Ariesgirl · 05/02/2011 13:36

I always wake up with a central heating head too Rocket. The hotel we were at this week must have thought we were mad - there was ice on the estuary, and we turned both the radiators down to 1 and opened the window at night Grin

The One Show's Alex Jones said poptyping yesterday, much to the amusement of Chris Evans. Um...um.. umm..not that I watch the One Show of course.

BTW, what the fuck has happened to BBC Sport? I haven't watched Saturday day tv for a long time, and on place of Grandstand, they just had football focus (with no football obv), a half hour feature on the Superbowl presented by Michael Johnson (YAWN) and now A Question of bloody Sport repeat. Bring back Des Lynham.

In other mews I have got weird fluttery things going on in my wombular area. It's like nothing I've ever felt before and has been happening on and off since yesterday. Do you think I have been diffed secretly all along, despite having normal hurty droids and I now have a baybee starting to move, despite not being fat? And do you think I will suddenly find out at 23 weeks or something? When do they start to move?

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 13:55

Rie I am absolutely loving that particular brand of menkul and am now imagining you in the role of Sonia from Eastenders (minus the trumpet, but only because you are giving birth) meeting your baybee without even knowing it was growing. Seriously, I'm concerned for my own mental health here as well as I have taken that and sprinted with it... Could it be some sort of implantation goings on? Come on, indulge me with some WOOFLing.

Sorry for continuing illness BooOfTheWoo and hope you are resting effectively. I do think sometimes your body just wants you to slow down for a bit so makes you IYKWIM. My Dad used to work ridiculously hard when we were little and seemed to get ill every time we went on holiday and I think it was his subconscious knowing that he had time to switch off for a bit

Sprocket I'll be able to express a proper opinion when I've finished it but do see how the book could have been written from different perspectives. At the star I thought the 5-year old language would annoy me but I have actually grown to quite like it. It's definitely an interesting way to tackle such a brutal subject as the boy has such a different take on the whole thing than the mother would have.

I have downloaded 'Her Last Letter' and "Bye Bye Baby' to read next as they were ridonculously cheap in the Amazon Kindle store and from the synopsis sounded like the kind of thing I like to read. I did look at the 2nd instalment of the Chris Evans autobiog as I read the first one over Christmas, but it was about a tenner so I'll wait for the paperback version I think.

Tis interesting news about converting other e-books for Kindle, I shall get TGB onto it for me.

rocketleaf · 05/02/2011 14:31

rie my friend had flutters or what she described as 'squirmy' feelings at about 13 weeks, which is very odd but not entirely out of the ordinary apparently. They stopped when her womble popped out over the top of her pelvis so this was before she really started to show. Sorry don't want to fuel this line of thinking really (although it would be truly wonderfully AMAZE!!), far more likely to be implantation or ovulation. What point in the 2WOOFl are you and have you POAS recently?

boots i honestly think she subtly backed off from the 'child speak' so that the narrative wasn't hard going/annoying the whole way through. See if you agree when you get to the end. I will check out those cheap books you mention.

rocketleaf · 05/02/2011 14:32

sorry, truffs not boots been chatting to booty in the deli and got myself all confused, easily done these days :s

Ariesgirl · 05/02/2011 14:46

Don't be daft! (Haven't you got my inner workings on a spreadsheet? f not, why not?) We've only just stopped our Welsh SWI! The squirminess is bang in the middle of the womble and not near the ovaries. Prolly just wind.

Wouldn't it be weird though?

rocketleaf · 05/02/2011 15:45

Oh yes of course!! Here it is it would be weird. I had convinced myself that something similar was going on with me at one point. After all, it happens in soapland to MUST happen irl at some point? Hmm

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 16:45

I have had that particular brand of menkul too, Ramalamadingdong. thank feck it's not just me :o

I am thinking that I'm at least 6 months diffed and will just start going in to labour at work one day. Well I have to find some excuse for my huge belly! Talking of said belly, I feel proper motivated to lose weight as soon as I'm well and happy about it too. Which can only be a good thing. I've only been eating soup eggs and ice cream mainly since I started being ill so this will give me a nice head start

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 16:47

oh and I did laugh a lot at Sonia and her trumpet Belgianchoctruffles. Biggest laff of my day today, Ta for that :)

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 16:54

Yes, good thinking Boo I sometimes thin I could capitalise on illness-related weight loss and then I remember myself and don't Grin

Am having a simply lovely afternoon playing scrabble on FaceAche, whilst enjoying the goal fest that is the premier league with Soccer Saturday on TV (a record amount of goals with only 7 matches, very much fun) Then I am popping in here every now and then to see what's happening. I think we might put a film on shortly and enjoy some left over fried chickens that we couldn't manage last night for dinner. Yum, yum, yum.

rocketleaf · 05/02/2011 16:59

Harrison is on the tele again, this time on my all time favourite incarnation. Shhh don't tell anyone else. RDJ was on earlier if looking slightly too young and clean cut to be really appealing so am feeling spoilt by the programming today.

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 17:54

MrBoo just came upstairs. Our TV has just broken. We can't afford a new one. Bollocks.

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 18:16

Oh no Boo does he think it can be repaired rather than having to buy a new one? (if our TV suddenly broke, I would think TGB had done it on purpose so he could get a 3D one as he keeps hinting about 'upgrading')

fishandlilacs · 05/02/2011 18:19

Evening gels! (in a Jean Brodie voice)

Have has time to cath up with freddyfred now-sorry to hear it's not all good reading.

BrowneyedB-I'm so sorry to read of the shit your DP is going through, if only there were more I could do i would do it. Thinking of you.

Boo I feel somewhat responsible for your bleak book choices. Both are quite stark reads-wish i had sent you off with something more lighthearted. If your in the fantasy vein I can recommend Mistborn series by Sorren laurenceson Brandon Sanderson. Mrfish bought the first for christmas and I have just bought and started the second.

Lasagne is in and smelling good-not made a lasagne for ages and ages. Looking forward to it. No poptyping job for us pure bred home made.

I have spent a lovely afternoon with the BOOWOOflers as I have been 2woofling with the best despite BFN yesterday. I still feel sick and I keep having hot flushes. I could be ill or I could be diffed or I could be predroidal. Anybodies guess is anybodies!

ponyandcart good luck with the move, tis very exciting time. WE moved to hopefully our forever house last year and i still get little rushes of joy that I live here.

Leafsprocket Can I have some sup please.

Ariesgirl · 05/02/2011 18:19

We have one we've got sitting in the corner of the lounge from when MrA's grandad died boo. If I could get it to you I would :(

fishandlilacs · 05/02/2011 19:12

Oh no about the television :(

Ivegotmrbitey · 05/02/2011 19:45

Fucking hell boo what a run of rubbish luck! Just had a quick look on worcestershire gumtree (cos that is whereish you are from in my head) and there are some on there for thirty and forty pounds. I think tesco are selling their technika ones on much cheapness offer at present too?

Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine

owlbooty · 05/02/2011 19:58

Boo do you have freecycle where you are? People are always trying to get rid of perfectly good TVs because they are not flat. Worth a bash?

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 20:19

Cheers all - you know Rie I would so love to come and visit you I might even pop down and fetch it Wink

Apparently my Dad knows someone who fixes tellies and he's going to ask him for me. I am on freecycle bootyful and I'll keep my beady eyes on it from now on. I've given away so much over the years that I think karma owes us a TV.

We bought that TV in 2006 and it cost us about £800 (oh for the days when I worked full time!), you can now get the same model for £249! Will check out the technika ones Bitey.

Although MrBoo is happily playing on his PSP downstairs and smallboo got over the fact he couldn't watch Spiderman for the 8 millionth time very quickly so maybe we can have a no TV zone for a while and play games and tinkle on the pianee.

We have got a small one in the bedroom so that will move downstairs for the time being - means I can't watch TV in bed but it's no biggie really.

Fishintrees Did you lend me that Joanne Harris? I thought I borrowed it off next door?

fishandlilacs · 05/02/2011 20:33

Boomer Er dunno-I think I may have lent it to LTP. Ive lent my copy to someone anyway. I also lent out Northern lights in the same batch didn't I. but that was SDG's originally.

...must write name in books I own, not to incur the wrath of any friends of ours who once commented I was being anal when I suggested it.

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 20:39

That's funny - I borrowed them both off her - didn't realise they were yours. What did you think of 'Blue eyed boy' then? I'm still a tad confused.

Ivegotmrbitey · 05/02/2011 21:30

You know those really big bottles of heineken you can get? I just opened the fridge door and the one that the FDH had booby trapped in there shot out hitting me straight in the fanjo!

My god it hurt! And fdh's response? For fucks sake you've wasted half a bottle of beer! He and are not speaking and when he is sleeping later I am going to drop a bottle on his nuts to see how he likes it!

HighPriestessBoo · 05/02/2011 22:03

Bitey And throw some bits of broken lightbulb into the mix too for good measure?

Talking of books, has anyone read this ? I meant to take it on holiday but made the mistake of 'just reading the first page', and went on to read it from cover to cover before I had even packed. Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 22:39

Not seen that one Boo but always like a recommendation so will look it up.

Bitey how could he be so stupid? At least now you're diffed you can unleash hell on his genitals without worrying about the repercussions!

Well I've had a thoroughly lazy day today and only got properly showered and changed a couple of hours ago. Even then it was only from one set of slouch wear into clean slouch wear so not hugely ambitious. It's been a Good Day.
