A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Yey mummya that's amazing news! How much of a relief is that! It's only 1 mm different, as you say, so thats excellent!

I feel a bit better now, thanks for all the kind wishes and hugs, very much appreciated. Collected ds early from nursery and are holed up with hot water bottles, hot chocolate, doughnuts and the little mermaid on DVD. Lovely. So, onwards and upwards! Sperm meets egg plan this month.

I'll be back for a non phone catch up later.

youremindmeofthebabe · 26/01/2011 16:32

Xpost and the woop woop for bee cannot wait! Hurrah for single bean!

cep · 26/01/2011 16:36

bee That's great! congratulations! [bgrin]

mummya that is fantastic! at last one worry off your mind.

terry I had a quick look but to be honest cause i've only just started it myself i don't really know what i'm looking at sorry. Thanks for telling me the price, I just couldn't see it on there, obviously it's like an expensive shop if you have to ask you can't afford it. [bgrin]

geta Problem is you could always explain symptoms away especially if you do have other children. (my ds is the reason why i can't get an accurate temp) But is definately worth getting checked out even if it's just to ease your mind. Do they normally close early on a wednesday? could be a training day or something.

cep · 26/01/2011 16:40

yrmotb ooh hot chocolate, dh and i had gotten into the habit of having hot chocolate, with marshmallows and spray cream on. [bhmm] i wonder how i put that weight back on. [bgrin

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 26/01/2011 16:40

lady fabulous news! So pleased for you! wiggle I've just sent you a message-I'm at Argc and they've been great. Xx

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 16:41

Yey Bee!!!! That's fab news!!

TerrysNo2 · 26/01/2011 16:50

Oh Ladybee I am so Grin for you! We miss you on charters!! Smile

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 16:54

Thanks for all the good wishes etc. guys - the reason I'm not calling the clinic yet is that I'm convinced it's a chemical pg and that it will disappear by Monday - if it doesn't I'm going to call them :)

I'm just really really convinced that this is not actually going to work so I don't want to get my hopes up. Dr Google (the evil Dr man who we should NOT, repeat NOT, listen to) says that you are more likely to get a chemical pg after ivf than you normally would, so i can't really rely on the result of the test :(

mummya glad it's good news!

newbies - sorry I haven't said hello yet but I've been mentalling rather a lot over the last couple of days. Welcome to the thread, it's a great place to be and although I'm sorry you find yourselves here you couldn't be in a better place under the circumstances!

yrmotb, velvet and izzy special hugs for all of you, I'm sure I'll still be here for a bit but my best bfp wishes and vibes are heading your way (and any other old timers that I've forgotten in my mentalled state, I'm sorry and the same goes for you, I know I'm crap Blush )

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 16:55

Bee Really please the scan went well and you have a thriving ladybean Grin

owlbooty · 26/01/2011 17:03

Wiggle my ex-MIL had underactive thyroid and she was given tablets - she was like a new woman after she'd had those! Hopefully your doc can advise and sort things out if needed.

Bee that is superb news, hoorah for the MiniBee :)

Dachs you are so right about not listening to Dr Google but we all do it. Evil evil Dr Google. Do you think your DH will buy you more exciting gifts this weekend to distract you from the mentalling? Could you subtly suggest it? Grin

Good news MummyA :)

cep I vote for a hot water bottle - always lovely and probably more use than paracetamol. Is it just me or do those tablets do absolutely nothing?

Mamapower · 26/01/2011 17:37

Mummy I must have x-posts with you earlier, that's fab news, hooray! You are finally getting there and well on the rd to ttc happiness Grin

Chloe55 · 26/01/2011 17:40

Dachs - PMA, it will do you and the wonderful life growing inside of you the world of good if you relax. (Easier said than done I am very sure Wink)

Bee - great news re the scan. I bet you are glad you didn't cancel now! Just looked at your pics btw - lovely wedding photo and your ds is so cute!

cep · 26/01/2011 17:43

dach i can certainly understand you wanting to be confident before calling. fx you're wrong though. [bsmile]

owl it certainly doesn't seem to be touching my back. They must love me at work a month off due to m/c, then back a week and ds gets ill off 2 days, now me again with my back.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 18:11

wiggle I suggested to DH that it might mean high hcg and therefore a possibility of twins and he looked like he wanted to run away forever! I'd quite like twins though. :)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 18:15

Sorry various of you are having bad aches and pains. Tuck yourselves up with hot water bottles and get DH/DP to wait on you! It sucks not being able to use ibuprofen

owl I doubt DH will be buying me any presents for a v long time! Now I'm officially having a baby again apparently I don't qualify for presents any more :(

owlbooty · 26/01/2011 18:25

What????? NOOOOOOOOOO (I bet he caves in at some point when the mentalling starts to get the better of him) Grin

Mamapower · 26/01/2011 18:49

Dachs wrong, v wrong, may your dh hang his head in shame!

I'm back off house hunting for the next two days so catch up with you over the weekend (will pop by before if I get a chance), by which time, we'll be on a new thread! Who's starting the next one?

Velvetcu · 26/01/2011 18:52

Mummya great news from the Doc

Bee i am pleased you have a happy wriggling bean

old timers are you going to do anything differently this month? I dont know whether its time to get proper mentalling or not Hmm i dont take any supplements or anything coz i wanted to be relaxed about it but that obviously isnt working.

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 18:53

Argh. Am having a bit of a panic here. Suddenly got LOADS of brown cm Confused that combined with disappearance of symptoms again is making me freak out about tomorrow's scan Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/01/2011 18:57

Huuuuuge YAY!!!!!!!!! and Grin Grin Grin for mummya and ladybee - great news from both of you, I'm so pleased for you both!!!!!!

dachs I have to say the mc really changed my perspective on twins, I'm high risk anyway because lots of twins on both sides of my family and obviously it was pg3 (odds go up with each pg). When I was pg I kept saying that I hoped it wasn't twins and I'd never be able to cope with 4, it would be a nightmare etc. Then after the mc I realised that if the worst news I got in pg was that there were two healthy beans, life really wouldn't be that bad!!! So - whilst I'm not hoping for two next time round - I could definitely cope with it!!

yrmotb also going to try SMEP here this month, let's hope it works!! Are you using opks to judge when to do the 3 every-day swi?

OP posts:
Velvetcu · 26/01/2011 18:59

what is SMEP?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/01/2011 19:04

Sorry x-posts!!

wombat stay calm, deep breaths. Brown cm usually not problematic. I know it's worrying but please try not to stress, hang on in there for scan tomorrow xx

velvet I'm going to try sperm meets egg plan, like yrmotb. I do wonder if we've been stopping a bit too soon after/around ov so hopefully that might help. Also going for acupuncture every week (usually only fit in one or two sessions due to being too busy but have deliberately booked them all in in advance). I'm also trying soy isoflavones this month just in case low progesterone is an issue - will be interested to see if it helps my cycle. How about you velvet ?

OP posts:
IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/01/2011 19:06

velvet sperm meets egg plan - I need to re-read up on this but iirc it's swi every other day from start of cycle, then when you get + opk, every day for three days, then miss a day, then once more. Hopefully that makes sense!!

OP posts:
Chloe55 · 26/01/2011 19:07

Wombat - it's brown, therefore old. Don't panic, it's probably just some old lining dislodging or something.
