dachs Still grinning from ear to ear for you! Just wanted to drop in and say that my friend who has just had a succesful cycle of ivf also tested early as she was going on hols for 10 days and needed to know about meds, blood tests etc whilst she was abroad. The clinic saw her the next morning (xmas eve) for a blood test. Her hcg was v high (which may have explained the early bfp) and she is now expecting twins! (that'll also explain it too)
FWIW when she called the clinic and told them about the test they congratulated her. If it was me, I'd contact them and be honest - I don't think for a minute that you'll be the first to call with an early bfp. It would prob put your mind at rest to talk to them about spotting etc too (although am sure it's perfectly normal at this stage) xx Good luck!
Welcome to the newbies here too and sorry for your losses, esp at Xmas. Sit down and make yourselves comfy (though not for too long, hopefully)
Terrys My cycles picked up exactly as they were straight after wtf cycle but then after two months and me tinkering around with agnus castus they appear to have screwed up got longer.
hadrian It was 6 weeks to the day post mc that af arrived. It's so frustrating hanging around waiting for it and waiting to ttc again but at least you know that everything's working again when the old biatch does arrive. Fingers crossed it won't be much longer for you.
Mummy Really holding out for some good news for you v soon x
Great big blanket hugs and huge mug of hot choccy for velvet and also yrmotb It's terrible when your body plays tricks on you, fingers crossed for this month for both of you
Izzy Don't ask me why but I have a feeling that this is going to be your month. I just have a hunch. I really hope so
Scrolling down the ever-expanding BFP list (hurray) it seems that 5 seems to be the magic number, lots of the bfps came on cycle 5.
I've finally had the results back from my blood tests this week (I have been and stood in front of the doctor's receptionist every day for 7 days!) and have since, thanks to Dr Google, diagnosed myself with decrepit ovaries (FSH is 11.4, LH 6) and an underactive thyroid.
Just wondering if anyone knows about the thyroid thing? My TSH was 3.5 and (according t'interweb) they like it to be 2 or below (ideally 1) for ttc and a successful pg. Seemingly an underactive thyroid can also increase the risk of miscarriage too. I'm going to see doc to get her opinion on this as don't want to carry on ttc if this is something that needs treating first.
Oh, and I also registered with a fertility clinic yesterday. ARGC in London. Apparently they have a 4-6 week waiting list?
Big waves to all the BFPers and anyone else lurking today.
