A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Dachs Grin Grin Grin Fantastic news, I'm thrilled for you!

Starting to feel like an old-timer on here now too..

hadrian · 25/01/2011 22:56

Wow was planning to have an early night but just have to post a quick note to say a massive congrats to dachs! That is amazing, wonderful news and I couldn't be happier for you GrinGrinGrin

What is going on on this thread?!

Hello to jaffa and eggy and sorry to hear about what you've been going through. I joined this thread after my MC at Christmas and it's helped me no end. I don't have time to post very often but it's so good to know that there's a group of people out there who understand how you feel and will help you with your questions and worries and general mental behaviour.

I have been lurking all day catching up on posts during very dull meetings...

I'm waiting for AF at the moment but no sign yet. I MC'd on Christmas Eve - any idea how much longer it might be? I guess there's always a small chance I might be pg but it seems highly unlikely. We haven't been holding back but then hardly going for it either. Annoyingly AF might arrive while I'm in Thailand which would be a pain.

Are you too excited to sleep tonight dachs?

hadrian · 25/01/2011 22:58

Where are you pink? Somewhere lovely?

HongKongBaby · 25/01/2011 23:51

Dachs that's awesome news, so so pleased for you!! Grin

Eggy and Jaffa sorry for your losses and welcome to the thread.

Emoo · 25/01/2011 23:52

Aaaarrrrghhh sorry ladies, can't keep up this week, busy times at work.

Dachs - huge CONGRATULATIONS, and sorry my spellchecker turned you into a Russian summerhouse earlier this evening (was trying to get a quick post in whilst frying garlic, but got busted by DH with garlicky iPod on chopping board while I was supposed to be cooking!)

YRMOTB - Sad for you, really hoped it was a slow-burning BFP, but as you say, better AF than a cyst. Odd though that both you and Loola had super-long LPs this month.

Hello to the new people and sorry you find yourselves here.

. Right, must go to bed. Want nice high temp in the morning again! Sadly am getting AF-like cramps though so I think it might be nearly all over.

MummyAbroad · 26/01/2011 00:28

YRMOTB did I do yours right? I scrolled up and down till my eyes went blurry then just guessed Blush
dach I have BFP'd you old stylie, hope thats OK.

hadrian so you are 5 weeks and 5 days since mc, it should be any day now. 4-7 weeks is "average" but it could take up to 12 especially if you have had a history of long cycles before the mc.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 26/01/2011 07:12

Urgh my attempt at shout outs was rubbish, I'm so so sorry I missed so many of you-only got about 50% of you!!!!

Hadrian do you know when after your MC you got a neg preg test? My period came about a month after that, but because I took a long time to go negative, it was a long while after my MC iyswim. I'm in Austria on hols, it is lovely although I woke up this morning and everything hurts-even the muscles in my neck Confused

emoo Grin at garlicky iPad, DH often catches me doing something similar with the laptop and then laughs at me when I complain the touch pad doesn't work properly! Fingers crossed for high temp today!

HK did you manage to see your consultant about drugs? Hope your acupuncture's going well.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 07:27

Still bfp but now brown spotting Confused

Should I be worried?

Still mentalling!

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 08:02

Dachs probably just implantation spotting - it would be the right time for it. Are you going to speak to your consultant? Maybe they can reassure you xxx

DachshundsWantPuppies · 26/01/2011 08:29

womby I wasn't going to contact the clinic until next week, as that was my officail test day. And it might all go horribly wrong and disappear before then. Getting a BFP yesterday was a massive surprise - I wouldn't have thought I'd have enough hcg in my system yet (although I know it can't be due to the IVF trigger shot as I've done a few tests which came up negative a couple of days after the transfer, so it must be due to pg hcg). I'm in too much shock to contact anyone official about it yet. Does that sound odd?

Nearly right, mummya.

dachs probably just implantation, brown blood old blood, and all that. Smile

Hel;lo to eggy and jaffa. Sorry for your losses.

I am in cd2 agony, and a pit of despair. I'm feeling very weepy, which is 90% hormonal, and 10% self-pity. Not my most attractive trait. Plus ds is having a challenging week.

Thanks moof and emoo[bsmile]

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 26/01/2011 09:08

hugs for YRMOTB xx

dacha call the clinic-are they going to monitor your pregnancy? They'll prob want to hear from you asap then? Plus they might be able to put your mind at rest, I would be really Angry with them if they are anything less than supportive-I know you weren't expecting to test until next week but you have, and it's clearly positive so they should treat you as if it's next week iyswim

Kat any news?

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 09:19

Big hugs to Yrmotb ((((hug))))

Dachs I understand totally what you mean. Part of me agrees with Pink though - they should support you and the sooner you tell them the sooner they can do that. (There is always the risk though that in that oh so special way some of the medical profession have they might just be blunt and say you shouldn't have trsted yet and you just have to wait and see, but if they do that I will be very Angry and we'll all be here to suppport you xxx).

Chloe55 · 26/01/2011 09:38

Huge Grin dor Dachs!!!! Woohoo!!

Welcome to the new ladies, FWIW I was told the same about waiting a month with the nurse then telling me it was only for dating purposes. Start TTC when you feel ready.

YRMOTB - sorry you are feeling low, it's particularly hard when your dcs start playing up too Sad

Well, I still officially feel like pants. Been to have my blood pressure checked this morning as I still have a pounding headache and nearly passed out on more than one occassion yesterday. It was slightly elevated but not enough to be worried about which is good. Been very pessimistic about this cycle with all the bad side effects and guessing I am prob ovulating now with them coming back after a few days off and not cd12 when I first thought I had.

But......please slap me with some slimy stinky flat fish but I had a weird feeling when I woke up this morning. I have never felt pg with any of my pgs (I have done however when I wasn't pg Wink) but I had a really vivid dream that (and this is very weird and potentially tmi) I was out having lunch with friends, needed to wee, went to the toilet and passed loads of blood but also I thought I was about to prolapse then passed a note pad, yes, a note pad Confused How it got there I have no idea, we haven't been having any kinky journalist sex or anything Grin. But in my dream this represented a MC and I was devastated. Then I woke up. Weird.

owlbooty · 26/01/2011 10:00

Dachs I had exactly the same thing - spotting seems really common at this stage in the game. As is mentalling :)

Chloe am absolutely not slapping you with a fish, you've only just arrived and that'd be far too mean :) Particularly if you're having horrible headaches.

hadrian it's v.annoying waiting for the first one isn't it - feels like you've been waiting forever. But the others are right; it could be any day now, certainly you'd expect it to pitch up in the next couple of weeks.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/01/2011 10:13

Just a quick one from work to say big (((hugs))) to yrmotb you must be really disappointed after this month. Tomorrow will be better and we will get our bfps in the end x

OP posts:
nickstermum · 26/01/2011 10:29

Hugs to yrm xxx

Dachs, burrowing blood lovely. Ring your clinic xx

owlbooty · 26/01/2011 10:38

Izzy and YRMOTB and Velvet and others who have been waiting bloody ages, I fully intend to stalk this thread until I see your bfps arrive :) There's a lot of people hovering around the 5/6/7 month mark now so statistics suggest we won't be waiting too long :)

MummyAbroad · 26/01/2011 14:12

Confused it is Wednesday isnt it??

YRMOTB from me too. I feel deeply sympathetic and worried that I am going to go through the same thing next week. As much as I said getting AF would be good for knowing that AS is being kept at bay, it would still be a massive disappointment, and I feel like I am getting worse at handling diappointment. hope something fantasitic and cheerful happens to you todaySmile

Dach I would bet money you are not the first person at the clinic to have tested early. Grin Do they have a monitoring plan in place for BFPers? If you dont know, could you ring and ask "IF I was pregnant, would you want me to come in..."

MummyAbroad · 26/01/2011 14:13

oooh, and forgot to say, I finally worked out how to track my parcel on line (the HSG results going to America) the status is now "on final delivery route"!

BiscuitChart · 26/01/2011 14:38

blinking eck, you're all bouncing around more than usual today! [bsmile] except for you dachs put your feet up and that's an order! really pleased for you hun :) welcome to the newbies , really sorry you're here, but it gets easier, it never feels like it will, but it really does. i found out i had a mmc nearly 2 weeks ago, and had the first miso-wotsit drug a week ago, which resulted in mc at home, didn't need the 2nd dose - small mercies i suppose.

i can't wait to be on the 2ww, even though it's soooooo loooooong!! keep meaning to start temping so i can tell if have ov'ed but keep forgetting then remembering when i'm in the shower. doh. i dont think after the shower if the idea...

i like thsi face ---> [benvy] party because i get to write the word benvy, which sounds like biscuit envy :) i have biscuit envy cos i've run out. can soemone pass me the plate?

hope you're all well, 2 more get ups...

massive sloppy ear licks to all

[bbiscuit] xxx

TerrysNo2 · 26/01/2011 14:45

Hi all

Been stalking a bit since MC on Christmas Day (and posted once before) but can't keep up!

I am really pleased to see a BFP on here Dachs! Smile

So I was wondering if you could just answer a short question for me pretty please. I am back to CD1 now after my WTF cycle and I am not sure what to expect this cycle. I OV-ed 5 days later in my WTF cycle but LP stayed the same so overall it was 33 days instead of 28.

From your experiences, do you think my cycle will go back to OV-ing on CD15/16 or be later?

Thanks ladies!!

Hadrian are you my MC buddy?!?! If so, I thought I had lost you and just sent a PM to other scottish name! Smile

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 14:47

Terrys it's not a very helpful response, but it could do anything. Some of us on here found we went back to normal ov date/cycle lengths really quickly and others took much longer. Byt the sounds of it, your cycle started getting back to normal in your WTF cycle, so you might be one of the lucky ones.

Wombat33 · 26/01/2011 14:48

TerrysNo2 · 26/01/2011 14:52

I kind of expected that Wombat - the phrase "everyone is different" is driving me crazy Smile. Why can't we all be carbon copies, would be much more predictable and not quite so frustrating!!

OK, so if I try to compare myself to similar experiences then: if your cycle was fairly normal but later OV in WTF cycle then did it go back to pre-MC OV day in the following cycle? Thanks!!
