A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread!

Oops should be 'haven't done so far', obviously need to slow down on the bubbly.

hadrian · 15/01/2011 17:25

< delurks for a glass of champers and a mushroom vol-au-vent >

HURRAH for mamap what fabulous news. I love this thread!

< clinks > with mummya, we are indeed starting to TTC at the same time, here's hoping some of the lucky thread magic rubs off on us!

Am loving the sound of all of this acupuncture. Where should I look to find someone good?

Am utterly knackered today after a really full-on first week back at work. Planning a whole day on the sofa tomorrow with my phone off :)

owlbooty · 15/01/2011 17:26

OMG MamaP !!! FABULOUS news lovely, am absolutely bloody delighted for you Grin Grin Grin

See, told you this year was going to be much, much better. :)

hadrian · 15/01/2011 17:55

Just catching up on what I can remember from the old thread. dachs I don't know much about the process you're going through but it all sounds positive.

wombat hope you're coping OK with each day as it comes.

jiggle I've got a few twinges too. Have you had a negative pg test yet? I got a negative on Wednesday, then a smiley face on an ov stick on Thursday, then the doctor who did my final follow up scan said I wasn't ovulating but there was lots of healthy activity in my ovaries which was nice :). Then no smiley face the next day so all v strange. Guess it's not called the WTF cycle for nothing.

We are back to SFF though...well, SWI but pretending not to Wink

nickstermum · 15/01/2011 19:41

I posted on my phone earlier so i couldnt do grin faces...

These are for you MP

Welcome to the world of terrifying-ness -
mentalling, knicker checking and fanjo-wiping! May you have 8 months of fabulousness but may the next 2 months pass quickly and uneventfully xx

Mamapower · 15/01/2011 20:20

Thank you all sooooooooooo much! Gosh I have been fluctuating from stupidly excited to terrified but mostly I just keep saying to myself ''I got a BFP '' ''I got a BFP '' I just can't quite believe this week it has been so amazing, I feel like the luckiest person in the world right now! And I would just like to say, I couldn't have got to this point with out you all here to keep me sane and pick me up... and I still have a lot of knicker checking and panics to get through yet with your support Smile

I am hoping that I will get a few joining me in the next few days... yrmotb good feeling about you Wink and Pink you must be duffed soon my love because we're having the same life!

I didn't tell you all in my first post because I was being sensitive to Velvets af showing up and now I see BOAs has too Sad ... boooooo!

Izzy great new pad here and I am liking the champagne Pyramid... Im only admiring not partaking Wink

Dachs already said it but fab news and I hope that you will be sharing in the excitement of a bfp really soon.

MummyA, of course I don't mind and thank you, it's an honour to be on that list after watching it for so long and hoping to ve on it Grin

AR how's oz treating you? I hope the weather isn't affecting your break and plans and that you manage to get over the jet lag quickly.

Anyone with an LP issue... there isn't one, I am living proof, mine is 7 days so stop stressing Wink Grin

Mamapower · 15/01/2011 20:21

Thanks nix I am relying on you for some major hand holding Grin Grin Grin

Chloe55 · 15/01/2011 20:29

Thicko comment - what is an LP issue?

Mamapower · 15/01/2011 20:42

Not thick at all chick, LP = luteal phase, I only have 7 days from ov to af and there is so much crap on the internet about ''you must have 10 days or more or you'll never retain'' and poor information and advice that it's frightening! Hope that helps Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/01/2011 20:54

dachs I can't remember if I said on the last thread but that is fab news about the embies!!!! Will be wishing them on....

velvet I'll be watching you for any news...fx it's of the good variety! Grin

yrmotb will be looking out for a post from you tomorrow morning, let's hope we can double our weekend bfp count!!

( mamap I'm still Grin Grin Grin for you!!)

OP posts:
Mamapower · 15/01/2011 21:01

errrrr what have I missed about velvet was af a false alarm??? Is there another bfp on the horizon??? I have tried to scroll back and though all thread but can't find anything!!

Mamapower · 15/01/2011 21:09

Thanks izzy my face is fixed with a permanent Grin I laughed at Cep cheering out loud, v funny Grin

I've got to tell you the whole story... I was convinced last night that even though I got a negative I was duffed so I poas at 7am and I could see the faintest of lines, dh, laughed, squinted and said try again tomorrow!! I wouldn't have it, so on the advice of [I think] AR I went straight to shop and spent £10 on the super dooper, digital, I'll even tell you when you got duffed, mother of all HPT's and there we had the proof Grin I can highly recommend the digitals if there is any doubt!

getawiggleon · 15/01/2011 21:21

Mama Woooooooooop!! What a week, so happy for you. Congratulations hon x Grin

Will catch up properly later as on phone and going out soon after v busy weekend so far! Kings Speech yesterday, Borough Mkt, The Globe and Tate Modern today -have gone into cultural overdrive!! BFN yest at 11dpo and pretty certain af is just around the corner. Boo!

cep · 15/01/2011 21:25

The digital ones are good, but v expensive so i only used it to confirm a cheaper result last time.

I really am so pleased for you Mamap

dachs i hope they grow loads over the weekend.

velvet i hope af stays away.

yrmotb come on let us know. fx for you.

Hope everyone is ok. Sorry if i've missed anything. i'm off to bed now.

jigglebum · 15/01/2011 21:27

Heh congrats Mama - really good week for you guys. Let's hope some of your good luck rubs off on the rest of us.

Liking all the champagne quaffing - a good way to spend a sat night!

Spent the day painting but pretty pleased with how much we got done. More again tomorrow.

Hadrian I have not had a neg pregnancy test but only because I can't bring myself to go out and spend money to find out that! I have had a scan and all was clear so basing it on that. TBH there is a pregnancy test somewhere around in the house - DS took it out and has hidden it somewhere and not found it yet! Might even start TTC again soon - if, as DH commented tonight, I let him come near me again! Not been feeling up to much recently!

Looking forward to hearing more positive news soon from you all.

AandRMum · 15/01/2011 21:40

MamaP sooooo worth the flashing suspenders - worried I am going to short them with all the sweat - hmm perspiration given we are on a posh thread with champers and canapes - am sooooooooo chuffed for you lovely. Amazing how once one thing goes right, it all starts to go right. It is a nice thought to hold onto when you have shite raining down on you and the pit of despair looks like it is in for the long haul!

Your weekend sounds lovely wiggle we meant to go to the Kings Speech but ended up getting the times wrong - so ended up downing a bottle of wine whilst sitting outside under a canopy of palm trees whilst planning the house of our dreams and planning how we are going to be the next Zuckerman!!! (Are you feeling Envy yet?!?!?)

Velvet am hanging onto the thought of sensitive cervix and am going to sweat it out for you and YRMOTB

Off up to Noosa, my favourite Oz place - weather has been lovely so far so fingers crossed it stays this way

Dachs am sending your little eggs a bit of Aussie sunshine to aide their growth - loved the row row row the boat ditti!!

Waves to all

Ladybee · 15/01/2011 22:48

Wow mamapower fantastic news! Man I missed all the excitement today! Am so thrilled for you lovely - think you should probably get lottery ticket or bet on a horse while you are in the lucky week!

HongKongBaby · 15/01/2011 23:34

MamaP fab news! So pleased for you Grin

Dachs sounds really positive, fingers x'd for Monday for you

8dpo here, not holding out any hope whatsoever this time, too many disappointments.

Sorry to those that AF has already got.

youremindmeofthebabe · 16/01/2011 07:37

Morning!

All over the place here. Poased and it's a BFN.It wasn't FMU as i went to the toilet in the night. However my temps are still up 14 dpo, whereas last months LP was 11 days. ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

Just a waiting game, I reckon. I'm disappointed cos I really thought I was pregnant, because I feel like my immune system is down? I have a sore throat, on and off Diarrhea, and some nausea.
