X-post Pearl What's the weather like down there? When we left on Sunday morning we could barely see the car in front but as soon as we crossed the bridge it started to clear up, it was mental. It's looking quite bright in Inverness today, I can even see some blue sky! Grin Have fun with your follicle imagining :)

Morning All,

Just popping in to say that I am still here and am still ok! I didn't want you to think I had gone AWOL after yesterdays news :) No time for a catch up as I am about to serve my beef and guiness stew with dumplings which has been cooking for three hours- MMMM! Can't wait. Thanks so much for all of your love and thoughts yesterday- means a lot to have my special place where I can rant and rave like a loony!

Take care in that snow and I will be back tomorrow to check how you're all doing.

gardenpixie · 30/11/2010 15:35

Hello all,

MissFlick I hope you enjoyed your scrummy meal! When do you start clomid again? Has ERTD shown up? Hope you are feeling OK about everything - I'm sure cycle 2 will be lucky for you Grin

Truff being back at work is enormously booooo. Here, have this bottle of gin to drink sneakily under your desk

Raspberry I am laughing LOTS at your fear of being under things! And you are right, it IS a good job you don't suffer from it when you are with Mr Raspberry!

Tomboy London has sucked the past couple of days hasn't it? I get so angry about tube strikes, it adds so much stress to everything. Well done for making it in!

Pearl I think (hope) you are right about the beta-carotene, it's either that or I have some really bad kidney problems! It's a good excuse to boost the old immune system too - and I for one really need that in this weather! Have you tried the yoga poses at the back of the book? I keep trying but haven't got round to them yet, do let me know if you have!

Hello Womanly if you're lurking I hope everything is going well with you

Well, not a lot going on at the moment with me although I intend to jump on Mr G when I get home to start out 10 day 'work out'. Honestly, if it doesn't happen for us, it won't be through lack of trying!

Hope everyone's Tuesdays are going well xxx

CaveMum · 30/11/2010 18:30

Evening all!

Pearl I have the fluorescent wee too!

Flick glad you are feeling a tad better Smile

Sadly I did not get the Uggs - it was one of those mad dash sales where everything goes within minutes and I was just not fast enough. I may console myself with another dress from EBay.

Stay warm!

TomboyWife · 01/12/2010 10:01

Morning ladies!

Well, I braved the Tube strike, braved the beginnings of the London snow yesterday, but today there's something like 6 inches on the ground, more's coming down, the trains yesterday evening were massively effed up, and it looks like nothing's improved on that front overnight. End result, I'm working from home today and having the odd cheeky look at MN.

MissFlick can I come over for dinner? Your beef stew sounds fab!

Pearl and Cave I'm intrigued by the day-glo wee. I'm almost tempted to go get some Pregnacare Conception. I've been making do with just the folic acid up til now.

It's symptom spotting week for me. Boobs are slightly sore, I seem to be more easily stressed than usual, but I'm not reading too much into either of those. (Also, like everyone else, I think it would be nice to be un-pregnant at Christmas.)

Hi all, here's the list. Hope everyone is warm and keeping out of the snow!

Tomboy I am in the same boat - the snow here is so deep I am just not going to try to make it to the train station. Especially after the hideously painful trek home last night. I was stranded at Victoria for an hour and then my train limped along like a lame snail.

So, sofa, iPlayer and cups of tea here I come! Oh, and a bit of work too I suppose ...

Grin
TomboyWife · 01/12/2010 10:17

garden our train home last night was shooting sparks everywhere because of ice on the third rail. Then it was held at the station before ours because the train in front had failed. I count myself fairly lucky not to be one of the people on the news who were stuck on a disabled train for hours.

My office has been understanding, but DH's boss has basically ordered DH to come in, so he's setting out now. I predict he'll be back in an hour, having toured the two local train stations and the bus stop and found nothing.

JosieSmith1 · 01/12/2010 11:20

Morning everyone

It's a nightmare here at the moment! Most people are off work as they're stuck in the snow, surprise surprise I'm here though my car got stuck this morning, luckily at home though so I've abandoned my poor Bertie Sad, he's almost in his usual space though so he'll be happy Grin Plus it means it's quite quiet at work, just what I need after the last couple of weeks. The police have issued warning saying don't go out unless it's an emergency, yet here is our boss saying we have to come in or go to nearest office!

Enjoy your day at home Garden, I unfortunately live within walking distance of work (didn't plan that very well!)

MissFlick · 01/12/2010 11:58

Hi Lovelies,

Envy of the snow and feeling very homesick at the min. This is my most favourite time of the year and it just doesn't feel special here. Oh boo hoo, I should just stop whinging!

Poor bertie josie! Hope you can just have a nice and chilled out, quiet day at work without everyone pestering you. Hope horsie is ok too :)

Lucky garden on the sofa! Hope the SWI-athon is going well so far. Is Mr. G off work today too? No ERTD yet which is freaking annoying! I know I'm not pregnant so get a move on will you?! I spoke to my doctor on the phone today and she said to come back on CD2 for a scan and to pick up my Clomid. I will also pick up some antibiotics as I'm going to have a HSG as well around day 7 so I just need ERTD to get a move on! Time is money ERTD, well not quite but it's the same sentiment!

Sorry you didn't get the Uggs cave I would love to join that site although I think it would be the end of me! I can't buy the Issa dress as it was over 200 pounds (don't have a pound sign!) and that's with 100 pounds off....! There is a discount code for Harrods (where I saw the dress) which is GIFT100 and you get 100 pounds off when you spend over 200 if anyone fancies a splurge or Christmas shopping!

raspberry you minx! I laughed so much at you and santa GrinThanks for your sensible words of wisdom.

alien bet you're counting down the days to the holidays now December is here!

truff hope going back to work hasn't been to hellish (if you have made it in that is!) Your weekend sounds lush.

pearl we talked lots about the BabyMaking Bible a couple of threads back, I love all the recommendations for keeping cosy and warm and hot baths. Since I read it I have made sure that I always wear my slippers and don't walk on the cold floors. Not sure if it helps but it makes me feel more cosy!

toriaanymore signs of ovulation? Fingers crossed for that epic Christmas BFP.

florin Hope all goes well on Friday- am sure Mr.F's swimmer results will be back in. I must admit to being a bit naughty with work and telling them that I had a medical condition that wasn't serious but needed monitoring with lots of scans and appointments. I also said that I wouldn't know when my next appointment would be until after my last appointment as my doctor would then decide when she needed to see me again- I guess this is not strictly a lie!

Glad you stayed at home tomboy- yesterday sounds like a mission! You are welcome anytime for dinner :)

Waves to lanky and womanly miss you both and hope you're taking care of yourselves.

We have put our Christmas tree up today and I have just made some mulled wine. There is plenty to share so I will leave some here to warm all of your cockles on this snowy day. OMG- just seen these Xmas Smile Xmas Grin So excited!!!

Karstan · 01/12/2010 14:44

Loving the snow here, reckon I was about 7 when we had this much. Still in work mind, but I've managed to make a snowman and some snow angels.

What I thought was ertd turned out to be random spotting which has then disappeared again. Keep feeling like ertd is arriving so frantically knicker checking but not here yet. Not even sure what day I am in my cycle now.

JosieSmith1 · 01/12/2010 15:21

MissFlick if I could send you the snow here I would gladly, it's causing loads of problems here!

Work has been far from quiet and I'm really annoyed as the team manager has left and told all the POs if they can contact their punters and cancel appts they can go home, but us lowly admin have to stay here and take names of any punters who come in! Why can't we go home too, considering that everyone that's left is only going home, whereas I have to walk home then trudge to the yard! It's really unfair Angry, never be an admin!

Hope you figure out what's happening with ERTD Karstan Confused and enjoy the snow angels Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 01/12/2010 18:08

Thanks for the mulled wine Flick Seriously considering drinking myself happy tonight so that'll do nicely to start! Hope ERTD puts you out of your misery soon.

Karstan Hope your ERTD sorts itself out! Are you sure it's ERTD and not something far more fun?

Josie Work sounds awful. How unfair! I've told them if it gets much worse I'm not going in. My decision was puncuated by my newly pregnant workmate falling in the ice today and spending a good fifteen minutes in tears in the office on the phone to the Dr.

No news from me, the suspected ovulation pains have gone to be replaced by nothing. Will continue to fly the shag flag though and go with Garden's theory that it wont be for lack of trying!

OP posts:
pearlcrystal · 01/12/2010 18:38

Just a quick message
Josie - I can't believe the cheek of your managers! That is so unfair!
Flick I'm with Josie on wanting to give you the snow if we could! Have you not had any at all??
I've made it into work today as was going a bit stir-crazy in the house - managed to walk in in the snow, so feeling pretty proud of myself for braving the cold.

The results of DHs swimmers are in and we'll be seeing the gp to get them on Friday and discuss other tests we need to be doing - so hopefully that will go well. To be honest just feeling relieved that something is happening and hopefully we'll have some answers soon!

Truffkin · 01/12/2010 18:47

I just typed a long post and it got lost in the ether somewhere Sad

It went something like laugh at 'shag flag', sorry Josie's day is rubbish, how is Garden's shagfest going? and hoping ERTD doesn't keep Flick waiting much longer.

I am feeling nicely relaxed after checking into my conference hotel early this afternoon for some sneaky time in the spa! Have been feeling poorly with a cold this week so it was for medicinal purposes of course! Am off to get ready for some serious schmoozing now, have just watched '16 and pregnant' on MTV. WTF is that all about!!

raspberrytipple · 01/12/2010 19:21

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Bellaby - one CBFM received today so I shall purchase some sticks and be away to go once the Christmas mayhem is out of the way. I shall be peeing like a good 'un!!!

Well, we've had more snow, hasn't stopped anything just yet and the roads aren't too bad.

Karstan and Flick hope your cycles sort out soon! and Flick & Pearl hope DH's results turn out ok.

Well,I just thought I would let you all know following my 'secret' Wink santa admission that I don't actually have a santa outfit. However, I do have a little elf outfit complete with stripey tights and very high heels AND my mother bought DP a santa outfit last Christmas as a joke. I just don't think she realised what she was doing. DP was mortified - I think he knew he was going to get seriously pestered Xmas Grin and has categorically refused to use it as a festive shag cape. Xmas Sad

I'm loving the Xmas Smile hats!!!

Karstan · 01/12/2010 19:23

Toria OH put his back out earlier this month, very little SWI, none in what I calculate to be fertile time :-(, so I'm 99.9% certain that this random spotting is just ERTD playing games.

Consultant appointment on Tuesday, so probably just lining up to coincide with that. They've told me it doesn't matter where in the cycle I am but the thought of having an examination during ERTD is making me feel a bit yuck

CrazyAlien · 01/12/2010 21:34

hey everyone, very very quick post! I have an interview tomoz!! Only applied Tues, got call this lunchtime for interview tomorrow morning! arrrghhh spent the whole evening planning the lesson to teach- also dying of flu/cold. should be fun tomoz! 50/50 chance of getting the job :0) will let u know as soon as I find out

ps snow nearly all gone here :( but family have LOADS in Kent!

xx

raspberrytipple · 01/12/2010 21:51

Best of luck alien!!! Let us know how you get on x

gardenpixie · 01/12/2010 23:48

Good luck alien ! How exciting, fingers crossed!

MissFlick how are you doing? Yes Mr G is off work today as he is a gardener so can't really work in the snow ... it's been lovely working at home with him around. He's such a star, he's gone out with rock salt to make sure all our neighbours' steps and paths are clear and even dropped off supplies to our next door neighbour who is 8 months pg so she doesn't have to brave the frosty weather. Bless!

Truff thanks for asking - Mr G is a trojan when it comes to SWI-athons so we are doing our best!

Karstan I hope the ERTD / not ERTD situation sorts itself out; such a pain when it can't make up its mind. I really hope it's for exciting reasons rather than just playing up

Josie that is appalling. I hope you are able to take it easy tomorrow and stay at home? Awful for you. Grrrrrr. Here's a wet kipper with which to slap your team manager

Good work toria we will shag our way to success, we will, we will Xmas Grin

Pearl well done for making into work! Fingers crossed you get good news on Friday, I'm sure it will all be fine; and, as you say, it's good to get things checked out to put your mind at rest

raspberryelf I am think that not enough people dress us for Christmas. Mr G has been nagging for me years to get a kinky elf costume (sorry that could have been TMI) Anyway, surely the baby fairies must smile upon elfin garb and reward you with a special Christmas present Xmas Grin

Anyway, just off to hoist the shag flag so best go!

Hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm

xxx

Morning Festive Frolickers Xmas Smile

My ERTD arrived this morning (I always find a spot of sex the night before helps to bring it on when I know it's coming Xmas Grin!) which given I knew I wasn't pregnant because of the blood test, I was very happy about. My cycle was a very respectable 32 days which has only ever happened once in the year that I have been off the pill and that is with the progesterone which will have delayed it a few days too. I feel much more positive about getting a BFP with shorter cycles as it means I am getting many more goes!

Have an appointment tomorrow with my doctor to get some more Clomid, I'm going to ask for 100mgs this time I think as my progesterone level was so low last time and I have booked in for a HSG next Thursday which I am already starting to worry about. Has anyone had a HSG before?

Sorry for the me, me, me. Now I only have a short time to catch up with you all!

josie that is so awful about your work. I can't believe that you are being treated like that Xmas Angry

garden Mr.G sounds gorgeous. Bless him! Also good for some 'Afternoon Delight' in this SWI-marathon Xmas Grin

Good luck alien! Let us know how you get on!

Enjoy the hotel truff!

raspberry enjoy your CBFM when you get cracking with it!

karstan sorry your cycle is being so annoying! But, like the others I am hoping that it is because of something much more exciting. Will say no more!

toria Keep that shag flag raised girl!

Keep wrapped up and most importantly.... KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP SHAGGING! Xmas Wink

CaveMum · 02/12/2010 07:12

Morning all.

A quick post from me just to say good luck to alien for your interview.

Hope everyone is managing to keep warm. Sadly I can't use the weather as an excuse not to get into work - I live a 5min walk from the office!

We don't have much snow here (Suffolk) but it has been very cold and icy on the pavements.
I hope things stay calm for the next few days as I've got to drive down to Aylesbury tomorrow for DH's Christmas Ball.

Stay warm!

TomboyWife · 02/12/2010 09:26

Morning ladies!

Josie sorry your boss is being such a... unreasonable person. DH's boss is similar. Have you managed to work things out for today?

Flick yea for ERTD and regular cycles!

Truff have a great time! I'm very Envy

Well, it bucketed down again last night and the transport situation is even worse today than it was yesterday. I'm working from home again, but DH has braved the elements to try and get into the office. His boss was not at all sympathetic to DH not coming in yesterday even though DH is on a day rate and therefore won't get paid.

ToriaPumpkinHead · 02/12/2010 10:31

Pearl fingers crossed for your DH's results, like you say, not knowing is the worst bit!

Truff very jealous of your spa priviliges, I went in with the stratings of a cold yesterday and all my work had to offer me was paracetemol lol...

Raspberry I have to say, the elf outfit actually works better for the santa fantasy in my head, but then I'm slighly twisted hehehe... Boo to Mr Raspberry for not getting into the seasonal shag cape swing of things!

Best of luck Alien! Let us know how you get on.

Karstan in that case I hope it sorts itself out soon for you lovely.

Very glad ERTD came for you Flick! Also good news that your cycles are looking more regular, here's to more opportunities!

Garden Glad Mr G is doing his bit, have to say though, with all the talk of dressing up I now have an image of him dressed as a Trojan soldier... My mind will never be the same again!

To everyone struggling with the snow you have my utmost sympathy, stay warm!

Nothing much to report here, had some very weird dreams last night, including one that is going to make it very hard to look one of my young leaders from cubs in the eye for a while Xmas Blush and OH was feeling like death in a toaster so we didn't get the shag flag up last night but we're off to buy a Christmas tree tonight (yes I know it's only the second but we were both repressed as kids so rebel as adults) so hopefully that'll put him in a good mood Xmas Grin

Right, must get wrapped up warm and brave the buses to go to work. Only doing four hours today, hardly seems worth it!

OP posts:
JosieSmith1 · 02/12/2010 10:31

Oh no Toria, hope your friend is ok. Well done for flying the cape Xmas Grin

Hope your DH?s swimmers are good Pearl and glad you?re feeling good about things

Truff sounds like you had a good day yesterday!

Glad you?re good to go Raspberry Xmas Grin, the snow here is stopping a lot so far! The main roads are fine but loads of people are grounded on their estates, it?s scary driving down the side streets, there?s no grip whatsoever, everyone is just sliding up and down! Luckily I live on a busy street so the road is fine for me to get to yard, but the car park at work is too deep so I?m parking at home and walking in.

Good luck CrazyAlien, fingers crossed

Thanks for the kipper Garden but manager is off today Xmas Angry. Have spoken to big boss lady above manager (who is worse than manager) and she says the office must stay open, so here?s me till 5 Sad. Though to be honest I don?t know why people feel the need to leave early if there?s no more snow falling

Glad ERTD arrived MissFlick and that your cycle was a good length. I?ve never had an HSG before but hope it goes well.

Snowing yet again here, and again poor Bertie is abandoned at the roadside [hgrin] but a friend is doing horse again tonight so as soon as I get back I can start shovelling and clear the path so I can actually get parked tomorrow!
