Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

garden Haven't yet tried yoga from BMB but keep meaning to - to be honest not sticking to much of the advice so far... Hoping that just having read the book might help Hmm. Keep flying the shag flag high
truffkin liking the sound of your spa, very tempted to use the one at my gym this evening, but not sure how I'd get there without the car.
raspberry good luck with your peeing and monitoring - I might get one of the monitors soon myself so we can play ovulation bingo
karstan can understand your awkwardness about having appt during ERTD but I am sure it will be totally normal for your consultant and a bit of spotting will score extremely low on his yuck list
alien hope your interview went well -getting new job would be sooo exciting
flick great news about your cycle being more regular. Presumably this also means youcan more easily predict your fertile time? Good luck with the HSG, my colleague has had one a few years ago and didnot think it was too bad at all... Perhaps try to remember that each test brings you closer to success ( which is what I try to tell myself)
toria intrigued by your wierd dream. Keep flying the shagflag for a Xmas surprise
Josie boo to your workplace. Hope Bertie is coping ok with the cold poor thing

big thanks to everyone for wishing us good luck for tomorrow - I'll let you know how we get on.

Truffkin · 02/12/2010 19:03

Hi Frolickers, just checking in to say hello as no news for me really. Mr T has the cold I'm starting to shift, hoping he is better for our shag fest next week!

I'm feeling more human than I have all week so fingers crossed I'm on the mend! I'm out tomorrow with all the ladies from Mr T's family as we have a Christmas night out each year. It's a 'putting on the ritz' theme so we all have little diamante tiaras to wear and party dresses. I'm really looking forward to it and will be making the most of pg SIL driving there and back Xmas Grin

Hope everyone is coping well in the snow. I came home easily this afternoon as the main roads are all well clear. Slid a little bit up our road and there was nowhere to park but lucky for me a white van man took pity and moved so I could park right outside our flat! It's freezing now but we have the heating on full. I got back early so have done some online shopping for Mr T's Christmas presents. It's the first I've done as we plan a whole day at Brent Cross next Saturday to do everyone elses so only really have to sort eachothers out without help Xmas Smile We did do Westfield last year but is easier to drive to Brent Cross and chuck everything in the car, rather than faff about on the tube with lots of bags.

Happy Thursday everyone, weekend's in sight hurrah!

(apologies for the overuse of exclamation marks here, I am not sure what's come over me!!!!!!!)

CrazyAlien · 02/12/2010 19:35

I got the job everyone!!! woooooooooooo :)

Florin · 02/12/2010 19:39

Congratulations alien that is fab news!

gardenpixie · 02/12/2010 19:40

Hello all,

What a chilly time we are all having! If only there was an activity that would allow us to share bodily warmth with the men in our lives while exercising briskly to create more heat... you see I am trying to think of more reasons to keep the shag flag flying over the Garden household Xmas Wink

Toria that made me chuckle! I'm sure he'd be up for it though as he'd do anything for the cause!

Josie enormous boooooo for your boss's boss being even more rubbish than your boss. People really can be officious idiots some times

Pearl I hope everything goes really well for you tomorrow - do keep us posted

Truff hurrah for getting into the shopping spirit. But it is essential that you sustain the correct ratio of buying presents for other people and yourself: at least one present for you for each one you buy for other people Xmas Grin

Cavey Xmas Envy about Mr Cavey's Christmas ball - I love it when I get invite to my brother's base's Christmas do, they are such fun! Hope you get to make good use of the refreshments Xmas Wink

Right, best go as I still have to finish off some work (although I am at home so it doesn't feel like proper work really)

Happy Thursday evenings all round xxx

And Tomboy do extend a big slap to your chap's boss too. Really petty to get uppity about not coming into work when he won't get paid. That's not shirking, that's just being snowed in!

CrazyAlien how did the interview go? I hope it went well!

MissFlick I'm glad ERTD started and you can start a new cycle afresh. Great that the clomid has regulated your cycle too - as you said, that just means more chances for all the various things to meet up in the right place.

CaveMum · 02/12/2010 19:41

raspberrytipple · 02/12/2010 20:53

Yayee well done crazy'xx

ToriaPumpkinHead · 02/12/2010 21:28

Congratulations Alien! Xmas Grin

Garden I have actually used "I'm cold, wont you warm me up?" before now... Xmas Blush Your OH sounds wonderful btw, what a sweetheart :)

Truff Enjoy your night out, sounds fab Xmas Grin

Josie poor Bertie. OH is having a similar problem with someone at work, she is coming in late and leaving early, because as a grown up, married woman in her mid thirties she's too scared to drive in the snow in the dark. Suggestion, don't live in fecking Inverness! Xmas Angry

Nothing much going on here, some watery CM today so being positive and waiting for it to turn to eggwhite and hoping to convince myself this month everything will happen as it's meant to. OH feeling better so will get back to hoisting the shag flag! Xmas Grin My workmate is fine, nothing has happened and she had a scan booked for tomorrow anyway (about nine weeks but she had some problems in her last pregnancy) so hopefully that'll give her some peace of mind.

Updated list, ERTD arrived for real overnight so I've rejigged my cycle day, rather bizarrely it's been almost entirely pain free when normally i have really painful periods so I'll happily swap a bit of pre period spotting for lack of pain Grin

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 09:32

Congrats Alien!!!!!

Garden that sounds like a fab idea Xmas Grin

Goodness Toria I bet Inverness is worse than we are right now Xmas Shock I?m glad I live on a main road that?s pretty clear, Mam lives on a slight incline so if we do move to her house next year we might struggle a bit if this happens again. No-one considers what things will be like in this weather when they?re looking for a house!

Glad you?re pain free Karstan

Well, I?ve had a rather traumatic morning so far, skidded off the road into a ditch and got well and truly stuck. At 7am. Luckily, someone from the yard next door came down and helped push me out! I?m so glad I had a shovel in the car today! Though after he had pushed me out he said he?d reverse back up the lane (it?s a single track lane with passing places that are currently unpassable) but he got stuck on the way back up, so we then had to get his car out! Luckily going home wasn?t quite as eventful! So instead of parking at work (they cleared the car park slightly yesterday) I have parked at home and walked in again. I have well and truly had enough now

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick post from me. I have just got back from my appointment and it's not the best news. I went to have a routine day 2 scan and pick up my next batch of Clomid and the antibiotics that I needed to take before my HSG and when my doctor did the scan she saw a big cyst on each ovary. The one on the right ovary was around 4cm and I didn't catch how big the one on the left was. She said she thinks they are a result of the Clomid and thinks that after I ovulated some of the follicles continued to grow and then turned into cysts. Because of this she recommended two potential courses of action. 1) Take the pill for a month to reduce the size of the cysts. This option also guarantees a regular cycle length so when I get back from the UK at the start of Jan I can go back for another day 2 scan and see whether the cysts have gone. 2) Do nothing and hope the cysts shrink themselves. She says that there is little chance of me ovulating with these cysts present. So I'm not 100% sure what to do but I think I am going to go for the taking the pill option as I will be so annoyed if I don't take it and go back at at the start of Jan and the cysts are still there. Sounds similar to your situation womanly?

So I have decided that I am taking a break from Mumsnet for the forseeable future. I think it will do me good to have a total break from TTC, enjoy Christmas at home and come back in the new year refreshed and ready to try again. I don't think I'll lurk, I'll have to go cold turkey as I know what my obsessive personality is like and I really need a total break. I'll miss you all lots and of course I still want to know any BFP announcements! You can private message me with any news as I will get the alerts in my email or if anyone would like to be my facebook friend I can keep in touch with you that way in a non Mumsnet environment :)

Take care and lots of love xxxx

raspberrytipple · 03/12/2010 13:23

oh Flick I'm sorry to hear that, you must be feeling dreadful. I think you are doing the right thing though, step away from it all and start afresh next year. We will miss you lots but totally understand. Hope you have a nice peaceful return home for Christmas and see you next year xx

highheelsandequations · 03/12/2010 14:04

MissFlick so sorry you're having such a rough time of things. Taking a break sounds like a good plan but I will miss reading your lovely posts. Take good care of yourself and hope to 'see' you very soon.
xxxxx

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 15:24

So sorry to hear that MissFlick Xmas Sad but hope things work themselves out soon and you get some good news xx

JosieSmith1 · 03/12/2010 15:57

We can shut up shop! Yippee! Turns out big boss woman who has been saying we can't leave early all week, has herself got stuck at home today and pressure must have been put on her so I'm outta here [fgin]

ToriaPumpkinHead · 03/12/2010 18:25

Oh Flick I'm so sorry. I think a break is probably best right now, but please come back sometime.

Josie Glad you're getting to go home, it's not that cold up here today (in the scheme of things) but felt it at 8 o clock this morning when I was waiting for someone with keys to turn up! Your morning sounds just awful, glad you're not hurt.

Nothing going on up here other than I plan to put my Christmas tree up tonight so mulled wine for everyone!

OP posts:
gardenpixie · 03/12/2010 23:20

Flick so sorry to hear your news but looking forward to seeing you in 2011 after your festive break

Josie thank the lord you got to go home, hurrah!

Toria thanks for the mulled wine, just what I needed!

Not much news from me ... just got home from a gorgeous curry and I'm hoping to hoist the flag shortly! Poor Mr G, I think he just wants a quiet night dozing to the cricket ...!

Hope everyone's weekends have got off to a good start Xmas Grin

TigerseyeMum · 04/12/2010 11:12

Oh MIssFlick so sorry :( we will miss you until you decide the time is right to return.

Sorry not to have been on here this week. Seems to be a weekend thing for me. I am like the White Rabbit in between, rush rush rush.

I also have another coldy-fluey thing, arse.

Haven't caught up yet but hope everyone is doing OK.

I had had half hopes of being pregnant by Xmas as it seemed such a long way off, am nowhere near. Ah well...
