Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
TomboyWife · 02/03/2011 07:45

Well, DH cajoled me into POAS last night before bed. BFInconclusive. Was that a line or a trick of the light? We spent several minutes debating and neither of us is sure. It didn't look like the BFN from last week.

I'll do another test in a day or two.

Imps7 · 02/03/2011 07:58

Tomboy - wow - I really hope it wasn't a trick of the light!! How can you wait another couple of days???! You have iron willpower!

LateToTheTTCParty · 02/03/2011 12:35

Thanks for the info on the anovulatory cycles ladies, I think I might be having one of those non-ov months myself - no surge, no symptoms of any kind... Hmm Wish I knew what was going on, and what to expect when...

I have only been looking for the LH surges since January, I don't do temperature or pant-snot monitoring, and I've only been logging my period datess in P-Tracker - I am realising I actually have NO idea if I've been ovulating regularly or not!

Truff, that hotel looks gorgeous, you have a lovely weekend in store, lucky you!

Tomboy keep us posted, here's hoping the line gets stronger...!

Fingerscrossed1 · 02/03/2011 14:46

Sounds promising to me tomboy Grin

weimy · 02/03/2011 16:38

oooh fx tomboy

CaveMum · 02/03/2011 17:07

Ooo, can we eek this thread out a little while longer so that we catch Tomboy's result?!

Truffkin · 02/03/2011 17:08

Ooooh Tomboy it's sounding more and more likely that you might be our latest success story Grin but do come and let us know how your DP got on with his JIAP results.

I'm 6DPO today so will be trying my hardest not to symptom spot from now on! I'm home early today as I was at a workshop that finished early! I've just been to collect my coat from the dry cleaners (they sewed a button back on for me!) and my new boots from the post office where parcelforce left them. I oredered the Mittford's from Nine West in the Kurt Geiger sale as I couldn't resist the bargain (they were reduced from £145 to £39!!!!) so have had a productive time. I have a stew on the go in the kitchen and am now logging on to do some work, whilst watching OBEM on 4OD in the background.

TomboyWife · 02/03/2011 19:13

Evening ladies!

We're fresh out of pg tests round our way, and also I'm a bit scared of re-testing and getting a BFN. End result, I'm not re-testing today. I'm becoming more and more convinced that that is-it-a-line was indeed a line. When I've tested in the past I've never been in any doubt that the line wasn't there.

In other news, DH's sperm results came back. Count, motility and volume were all above normal, but the number of healthy cells was languishing down at 2%. Average is 15%. The doctor thinks this might be a fluke, especially as the other indicators are so good, and wants to do a second test. DH can't be asked because of the possible blue line last night.

Imps7 · 02/03/2011 19:34

Wow Truff sounds like a bargain! My biggest footwear bargain was a pair of boots from Selfridges which were £120 down to £25 - although OH bought them for me so they actually cost me nothing! I always worry with total bargains like that though whether they're so cheap because said garment/footwear is actually totally horrible and no one else in their right mind would buy it! No one has ever pointed and laughed at my boots though so I figure I'm okay.

Tomboy - I really really really hope you've got your BFP...I can understand why you're so hesitant to re-test. Damn inconclusive tests! Sperm sounds good though so pass on congrats to your DH Grin

weimy · 02/03/2011 20:13

FX tomboy!!!!

JosieSmith1 · 03/03/2011 09:03

Sorry that I keep coming in and bothering everyone with my ?issues? but I need some urgent advice! Team manager?s daughter is bringing her baby in this morning and I think I may have a full blown panic attack. I had a meltdown last night because someone said her friend was pg. I started crying and shaking and broke out in a cold sweat. I managed to stop eventually but it?s gonna happen again this morning I know it is. I know I?m ill and I?m going to the docs next week as I?m off work, but what can I do when the baby comes in this morning?!

gardenpixie · 03/03/2011 12:03

Josie , I was just lurking and saw your post, are you OK? PM if you want a chat xxxx

Big hello to everyone else

And am holding my breath for Tomboy [fingerscrossed emoticon]
xxx

weimy · 03/03/2011 12:42

oh josie I'm sorry I didn't log on earlier.

What did you do? I think I would have called in sick.

I am so glad you have decided to go to the doctors. :)

LateToTheTTCParty · 03/03/2011 13:56

Josie, hope you were ok this morning with the baby visit. It's good you're going to see the doctor, a very positive step and I'm sure it will set you on the right track again.

Do you often feel panic? I'm a great believer in breathing techniques helping to aleviate physical symptoms of stress. And although I don't buy into the whole Eastern philosophy thing, I find yoga to be a great way to calm both mind and body giving your head a bit of space and peace. If you learnt a few breathing patterns you might find you're able to be in these sorts of situations more easily, even feel more ownership of them.

Truffkin · 03/03/2011 14:48

Good to see you are seeking some help from your GP Josie, as it really sounds like your reactions have moved on from just being an attack of the green eyed monster and FX you get access to some good support to deal with things.

Hope things weren't as bad as you were expecting, sometimes the very presence of a baby is so lovely it can help you to put aside some of your jealousy, although obviously that depends on the situation.

Tomboy any news? Have you decided when to test again? Good news about the JIAP results and FWIW GPs often repeat the test if there is anything 'below average' showing up as diet / alcohol / smoking / tiredness / hot balls Grin etc etc can have such an impact on the sample. DH is repeating his test in 6 weeks time if no BFP before then, as there were some motility issues that the GP put down to diet and we've been addressing that as well as him taking Wellman conception so we shall see!

Goodness me the OBEM episode I watched last night was a real tear jerker! Thankfully I watched it before DH came home, otherwise he may have thought I'd finally lost the plot!

JosieSmith1 · 03/03/2011 16:04

Hi everyone, I'm still here, just!

I calmed down as so much time passed I assumed she wasn't coming in, then she came in! I was very close to either having a panic attack or bursting into tears so I took some files upstairs, and I don't think anyone noticed (although I said that last time and was wrong). Late I believe in breathing techniques too so I concentrated on slowing my breathing as I was about to pass out, and tried to slow my heart down as it was beating at a rate of knotts and I thought it might actually come out of my chest! Then DH came in and I really had to hide cos I was gonna break down.

I got over that, then my pg colleague brought her 6 month old daughter in, just to try and push me over the edge I'm sure (probably not really) so again I made my excuses.

I'm feeling ok now, just extremely knackered. I haven't been sleeping well either so I'm completely run down. ERTD is due tomorrow too so it's gonna be another hard day!

Anyway, thanks so so much to everyone, will come back and let you know what happens at the docs.

weimy · 03/03/2011 16:19

Glad you are feeling better josie the feelings of panic certainly resonate with me. Weimy hugs!

CaveMum · 03/03/2011 17:59

Some needs to think about starting a new thread - this one is almost full!

Josie so sorry you've had a rough day. I hope your doctor can give you advice on keeping yourself calm and together. Have you tried reflexology or acupuncture?

TomboyWife · 03/03/2011 19:42

Just re-tested. BFN. Sad Kind of devastated.

weimy · 03/03/2011 21:04

sorry tomboy :(

CaveMum · 03/03/2011 23:17

Tomboy, sorry to hear that. Any sign of ERTD? I don't want to give you false hope but it is possible to get a false negative.
Any sign of a new thread yet? I can't do one as I'm posting from my phone and can't copy/paste the list.

JosieSmith1 · 04/03/2011 08:04

So sorry Tomboy (hugs) And I hope it is just too early as CaveMum says.

Can I start the new thread, can I please please please!!!!

CaveMum · 04/03/2011 08:18

You better had Josie, there are only 2 or 3 posts left in this thread. The responsibility of coming up with a funny First Time Frolickers thread title is all yours! And don't forget to include the list in the OP!

JosieSmith1 · 04/03/2011 09:34

Right, new thread Here I think!
