Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
LateToTheTTCParty · 25/02/2011 14:23

you'll have to carry on without me Truff - Period Tracker says I ovulate tomorrow, but no sign of the surge yet... I don't know what the heck's going on, I was regular as clockwork until we started TTC Confused - now I'm all over the place with all sorts of symptoms I never had before, and this is only cycle 3!!!

Haven't told DH though yet, shhhhhhh!
Still very much enjoying the scheduled & highly organised SWI Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 25/02/2011 19:44

I'm still lurking and just wanted to say Cave Thank God I'm not to only one who cried at HIMYM! I was a complete wreck over the season opener!

Hugs and Brew and Wine for everyone who ERTD has got. And biscuits.

Late I'm also a bit Hmm at my cycle as it goes! Had pant snot yesterday and temp rise today so was a bit weirded out at potential very early OV but more pant snot today so who knows? Am just shagging through it to make the most of any eggs being laid!

Hello lovelies. First massive congrats to Toria so so pleased for you chick. Not much ttc is happening here. We are more relaxed sonthat may help but for those of you that can remember me will know it's highly unlikely. Coming up to 2 years if trying which is very hard but at least I have wedding plans to take my mind off it. Going dress shopping today!! Oh and the cake will be chocolate!!!

But I also wanted to come and give Josie a massive hug. I have gone through patches like you feel. It just feels like there is a physical pain inside that takes your breath away. It's a pain very few people can understand unless they feel too. All I can say is it goes for a while (never totally but enough to get on with life) but it will come back you just learn to deal with it a little more each time. Dont get me wrong I still reguarly cry in the bath (feel the best place to do it) and wonder if it will ever happen but I do feel deep down it will for all of us. Even if people like me and dp have to have ifv.

Sorry that was meant to be a quick post to pop my head in!!

Big hugs and good luck to everyone.

Xxxxx

I have been hiding from this thread for various reasons but just dashing in to say big congratulations to Toria Grin

Have a Wine while you still can :)

TomboyWife · 26/02/2011 10:19

Morning ladies!

Late I know what you mean about regularity being there until you need it. Confused I used to get stupid amounts of EWCM, but a few months after we started TTC it went away, leaving me (sorry, TMI alert) pondering as if looking at wallpaper samples. "Is this EW or thick? Er, it's sort of halfway in between. Does that mean I'll ov half an egg?"

Waves to those who haven't been on the thread in a bit. Great to see you!

Still no ERTD here, I've still got the weird poking sensation right above my pelvis, still getting metal mouth off an on... So basically I'm still Confused.

weimy · 27/02/2011 20:43

Hello all, home from the conference and shattered, also am cd2 cycle 4 :(

Fx tigers

Sorry to anyone else who has been got by the ERTD :(

Truffkin · 28/02/2011 09:34

Morning ladies, updating the list is getting much easier as there are so few of us. We need to get recruiting girls Grin

Zippys lovely to hear from you and hope your dress shopping was fun. I have recently been with a friend for whom I am bridesmaid in October and really enjoyed getting to watch her try on lots of wedding dresses and seeing her face when she really loved the dress she had on Nice work on the chocolate cake too!

So, any updates for us Tomboy then? You are far and away topping out the list and we could do with another BFP, otherwise what do we have to canvass with on our recruitment drive??!!?

Sorry ERTD got you Weimy and hope you have planned in some R&R time to catch up after your conference.

I had a very drunken weekend and FF thinks I ovulated on Thursday, which means the planned SWI-athon was very poorly timed and only Wednesday will count, as Sunday (JFF!) was before the 'fertile window' boo hiss! Trust me to jinx myself with my 'I ovulate predictably around day 15 every month blah blah blah' - idiot! This morning my temp was low for post-OV but I had a very broken nights' sleep due to my DH having been to Wembley and as a very excited Blues fan, proceeded to spend most of the night watching the highlights with his brother and being a bit noisy! He came to bed at 3am and woke me up, then again at 4.30am when he got up and ferreted about trying to charge his phone! Lucky for him he had the forethought to book today off work - he should be sleeping it off as I type Grin

I was wondering how your OV was coming on Truff, I have absolutely no idea what's going on my end - P Tracker said I'd be laying my egg on Saturday but the opk hasn't shown any LH surges...
I don't chart my temperature and I try to ignore any pant snot... Smile so who knows what's going on. I think everything has got a bit out of kilter with that funny week-early was-it-or-wasn't-it-ERTD thing.

DH and I are just going to carry on SWI every other day to cover all eventualities Grin
It's not so bad - I don't actually know if I'm in the awful 2ww, just SWI-ing my way through it!

Truffkin · 28/02/2011 11:57

Nice approach Late and definitely removes the need for mental symptom spotting! Although I very very rarely get anything worth noting as a symptom, I do find myself trying to over-analyse every little thing. I have been pg before (short lived) so I know that I get strong morning sickness and deep down know that the other symptoms have always been imaginary! People do say that no two pregnancies are the same though so you never know.

Again, I'm preparing my silver lining in case of a BFN / ERTD this month. FF says to test on 12th March and we are away that weekend at this beautiful hotel so if I know I'm definitely not pregnant, I can indulge in lots of lovely food and wine plus make the most of their spa by using the sauna, jacuzzi etc! If I am (here's hoping!) then I can still have nice food and a glass of wine and might book myself in for a facial and go for a swim. So, either way it will be a lovely weekend!

weimy · 28/02/2011 14:54

OOh Truffkin sounds lovely! Love the idea of formulating silver linings :)

Truffkin · 28/02/2011 17:17

Weimy it has been my plan since the truly devastating ERTD in September when it arrived 5 days early during a hen weekend, the morning after I had slept on the floor in a room shared with a friend who announced her pregnancy the day before (plus she is older than me and it was a first time try - honeymoon baby!)

Every month I think of something that is positive if ERTD arrives, so it's been anything from having a drink at the Christmas party to being able to fly for my friend's hen do at the end of September (that was last month!) Of course, all of these things would pale into insignificance if I won ma baybee, but it's nice to have something to look forward to in the face of disappointment Grin

weimy · 28/02/2011 18:43

Truffkin that sounds awful :(

I think I will do the same, mine will be horsey ones I think.

Imps7 · 28/02/2011 21:06

Hello girls

Sorry to hear of ERTD Weimy - miserable, isn't it?

Truff - deffo with you on the silver-lining front. There's always some advantages with not being pregnant and it's always good to focus on those! Your weekend sounds properly lovely - hope you have a really lovely time!

I'm still in crappy first two weeks (or 20 or so days - ov tends to occur then) which is totally boring - even worse this month considering that OH is away around crucial moment - I almost can't be bothered with the shagging!

The horrible ERTD and post-ERTD feelings I had have manifested themselves and I'm in a lot of discomfort at the moment. Hopefully it will clear up in a couple of days though.

Oooooh OBEM - best go!

TomboyWife · 28/02/2011 22:45

Evening ladies,

Truff it may have only been a single SWI session, but it sounds like the timing couldn't have been better! Fingers crossed for you! Grin

No news from me. No ERTD (and the ERTD cramps seem to have gone as well), but I haven't tested again. I'll give it another couple of days, I think. Anovulatory cycles generally make me a week or more late and the tests DH bought were the expensive ones.

Meanwhile DH tried to phone for his SA results today but didn't realise the surgery only gives out test results at certain times. They said they don't send a letter if the result is normal and the result should have come to them on Friday, so it could be that we can infer no news as good news without needing to phone.

(thinks about it for a moment)

Nah, DH should phone. Grin

Truffkin · 01/03/2011 14:07

Hi ladies, Tomboy that sounds like it could be good news, so hope your DH calls and has it confirmed ASAP! As you mentioned anovulatory cycles, I wondered does everyone get this? I have been charting my cycle for 7 months now and can clearly see ovulation every month (albeit a couple of months the timing is a bit squiffy) and your post got me thinking, is this normal? Now I know that there is very little by way of 'normal' in the fertility game, but is it generally accepted that women have anovulatory cycles from time to time and if so, does this mean that my charting is completely unreliable afterall?

Am still keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway, I'm holding on to the idea that some MNers didn;t get theri BFP until well after ERTD was due Grin

Imps it felt like the end of the world at the time, although I do tend to find CD1 a bit of a bind at the best of times. The friend in question only has about 6 weeks to go now and I know when I meet their baby I will thinking 'it could have been us!' Still, ours will be even more special when it finally arrives Grin

Happy St David's day everyone St Davids

JosieSmith1 · 01/03/2011 16:21

Thanks so much Zippy. I was doing better but she?s unveiled a baby bump today and keeps whingeing about how much she hates pregnancy hormones then having massive conversations about baby names. I think I?m going to make a sign that says ?I can?t get pregnant, ask me about it?. Sorry that was a bit uncalled for! We?ve discussed going to docs as I?m so stressed about it it?s really not healthy and I feel like I?m becoming slightly depressed so I need to do something.

I?m going to try my bridesmaid shoes on today so I?m excited about that but also worried that if my best mate asks if I?m ok I?m going to break down. As my best mate for the past 10 years almost, she?s never seen me break down.

Tomboy I found when I started ttc I noticed a few signs of ov but then they stopped. After I tried to relax about it last time they came back so I?m hoping that means things are working as they should be

I?m torn between trying to forget about it altogether, which I can?t as I?m so regular I know when everything is happening, and getting ov sticks and starting to chart again so I know if we?re doing it at the right time.

weimy · 01/03/2011 16:55

Hi

Josie Bowen is a kind of massage I think, good for a lot of things. Not sure if I have spelt it right. Will try and find a leaflet.

I think it would be best to go to the docs if I were you, I have suffered from mild depression and it is not a nice place to be. I put up with it for a long time and wish I had spoke to someone sooner.

xxxx

WhiteRoses · 01/03/2011 19:07

Hi. Feel like a gate-crasher here, cause there are so many new names on the list! Before my BFP in Jan '10, I was a regular on here though, and I still lurk now and again, keeping an eye on old friends (Kaloki, Chalky, Zippys, Calyx and Aries - hi!)

Anyway, I haven't actually been on in a wee while, so just letting you know that I still watch out for you and keep my fingers crossed.

Zippys - it was your post that got me logging in there - can't believe you're wedding dress shopping already! Seems no time since you got engaged. Grin Hope you had a great time.

Also, just wondered if anyone had heard from Kkas lately? Either on this thread or another? I think of her often. And (for the real oldies!) Sevans... Hope she's doing okay too. Anyone heard from/of her?

Hope everyone else is doing well, and best of luck to all. :)

W.R. x

TomboyWife · 01/03/2011 20:58

Truff my understanding is that most women have the odd anovulatory cycle and that that's normal. If your charting is showing ov every month, you probably have ov'ed every month. I wouldn't sweat too much about it.

DH phoned for his test results today and was told, "The doctor wants to speak to you. He'll call you tomorrow." I'm completely bricking it. I know this might not mean anything very bad, or indeed bad at all. It could be that the doctor just wants to ask how long we've been trying, etc., as we've been off their radar for over 6 months. But, well, I'm still bricking it big-time. Sad

I'm tempted to re-test tonight as I've still not had any sign of ERTD, but I think another BFN would just make me brick it more.

weimy · 01/03/2011 21:35

Tomboy fx for tomorrow

Imps7 · 01/03/2011 21:53

Good luck Tomboy. Keep away from the POAS tonight and wait to see what happens tomorrow.

Truffkin · 01/03/2011 22:02

Yes I agree, no POAS Tomboy and it's probably just usual GP rubbishness, not realising how it sounds to the person on the end of the phone waiting for important results! FX for tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback on anovulatory cycles, I need to stop worrying whenever I read about anything that's slightly different to mine!
