Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

Hello all

MissFlick sorry you are having a tough time; I am really keeping my fingers crossed that it's all a sign for you rather than impending ERTD. What time is your blood test tomorrow? I might not be able to post much as I'll be in and out of meetings but I will certainly lurk as much as I can. I hope it brings fabulous news Grin

Raspberry did you get any SWI-ing in? So frustrating when events conspire against us - doesn't the universe know it has to keep up with our cycles....?

Cookiemoo thanks for the chocolate cake! Just what I needed to keep me warm on this very chilly Sunday

Crazyalien when's your appt? I'm sure everything will prove to be fine but at least you'll have the reassurance of knowing everything is primed for a great BFP

Big waves to everyone else!

Off to brave the cold to go to Sainsburys ...

I will pick up lashings of mulled wine to keep everyone toasty through the cold spell

xxxx

Bellaby · 28/11/2010 12:53

Raspberry that's fine. Just send me a message with your address. let me know if you have any problems with that

Think this should take you to the grads page www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1034952-The-Bumper-Edition-of-the-First-Time-Frolicker-Graduates

CrazyAlien · 28/11/2010 13:21

hey everyone

Appt is for beginning of December but after chatting to DH have decided to cancel it as he thinks I am worrying too early and I actually believe him. I finish my job in three weeks and so will be relaxing and getting back on track so think after another 6 months we shall get help as will also be a year then that we have been TTC. Doubt I can get a refund from AMH order but will follow that through if I have to.

Fingers crossed for lots of BFPs soon!
x

MissFlick · 28/11/2010 13:46

I'm just off to bed now but just wanted to pop in to tell cave that I have developed an intense craving for an Issa dress of my own. I have seen a gorgeous red one...none on Ebay at the minute though.

Thanks for popping in bella! I miss you :)

garden I think I will have my blood test at around 2pm which is 6am your time Grin I'll hopefully have my results by 6pm when the clinic closes which is around 10ish your time.

Mr.F has given me a pep talk this eve and told me that if it is a BFN at least I can drink all over Christmas and at least we won't have an August baby. No offence to August babies on here but I always feel so sad for the poor little ones when they start school and their still so tiny!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 28/11/2010 15:41

Hello ladies! Will try and catch up properly later, but in the meantime we're digging our house out the snow after snowed in in Edinburgh and spending six hours on the A9 today! Had to get out and push a few cars near Perth which was interesting but at least we were going North, as the Southbound side had a bus that slid and blocked both lanes and then deep enough snow on a hill to stop anyone getting through. Carnage! Hopefully people are getting through now but it was messy! Have also discovered that there are no Tesco delivery slots so I'm going to have to go out tonight and get all the shopping done. Fun times. Anyway. Please accept these gifts of mulled wine and mince pies while I run away again.

OP posts:
Kaloki · 28/11/2010 16:32

Congrats ifatfirst Grin

Karstan · 28/11/2010 17:43

Sitting here enjoying mulled wine. It's rare I get a chance to relax on a Sunday evening as I usually go swimming, but the snow is providing me with an excuse.

I actually trudged through the snow to Tesco last night as I had a mulled wine craving and we had no wine, but by the time I got back I was too exhausted to make it and just ended up going to bed!

Feels like ERTD is imminent, pretty sure we missed the window of opportunity this month so no surprises there. Consultant appointment is next week and then I'll see from there.

Congrats Iatfirst

raspberrytipple · 28/11/2010 19:40

Evening all,

Just a quick catch, DP has let me loose on the laptop so that I can do some Christmas shopping but I'm being distracted by MN!

Garden we got a quick rumble in this morning but nothing yesterday. Pretty sure I've ovulated, haven't had EWCM today so fingers crossed the spermies inserted on Thursday hung around long enough to do the dirty deed!

Karstan very jealous of the mulled wine. My dad makes amazing mulled wine every Christmas morning so if I am not pg I shall be enjoying a vat or two.

toria be careful if you go out!! Although DP and I did chuckle yesterday morning as they were talking about the weather warning on the news and they said not to make any journey's unless they were completely UNNECESSARY Hmm. Poor woman got a bit confused methinks!

kaloki think I would avoid vaginally if it were me Blush. Let us know how you get on with it!

Anyway, I really must start the Christmas shopping or I will be in much trouble!

Evening all xx

mumnerves · 28/11/2010 20:05

Just pop-ed in here to say congratulations iatfirst

also, a big hug for you flick remember it's not over till ERTD shows, and good luck, I wasn't aware about all you were going through and keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the cycle for you x

Good luck to everyone testing over the next week, hope ERTD stays away for you! :)

TigerseyeMum · 28/11/2010 21:29

Flick sorry you have been feeling so pants, I have been a bit teary lately too, think ttc on top of other stressors makes us all feel a bit wobbly.

If you are still looking for a black dress there was a lovely one in Coast yesterday, they have a bit of a sale on at the moment too, bonus.

I had a lovely weekend with my best friend from primary school, she did extravagent shopping and I did modest budget shopping! Twas fun though.

Hope everyone is ok :)

pearlcrystal · 28/11/2010 21:51

Hi everyone!
Raspberry kindly invited me to join after reading my ttc post on a different thread... I hope no one minds.
My husband and I have been ttc for 15 months and just starting down the route of getting checked out (blood tests, etc at the gp upcoming over the next few weeks). A little scared by the whole thing.
Anyway, it's lovely to read all your posts and there is much in them that I recognise - counting cycle days, looking for potential tell-tale signs of pregnancy or otherwise, and trying desperately to keep away from pregnancy tests before my period is at least a few days late.
Anyway wishing everyone really good luck this month - I hope lots of us soon have good news to share.

Kaloki · 28/11/2010 21:56

Welcome pearl :)

Truffkin · 28/11/2010 22:06

Hi Frolickers, just popping in to let whoever does the list tomorrow that ERTD got me on Thursday so I'm now CD 4 of cycle 6. Could I please also be updated to UCL 31 as this is consistently the case for the last few months.

Congrats to IfatFirst another frolickers success!

I'm having a great time in Ireland and have been snowed into the hotel so spent today entertaining the children, chatting, eating, drinking and consequently am now well-oiled! Had a great time with my extended family of in-laws and it has certainly taken my minf off babyfail #5. We even had a group watching of X Factor in the bar which was hilarious! We have decided to carry on as normal this month and my FF app tells me ERTD is due on Boxing Day so a BFP would be an awesome Christmas present!

I'll get back to the party now and will catch up properly in the week.

Truffkin · 28/11/2010 22:07

Sorry, cross posted. Hi Pearl and welcome Grin

ToriaPumpkinHead · 28/11/2010 23:04

Right, I am back to be sociable.

First up, Congratualtions Ifatfirst!

Welcome to the madhouse Pearl You'll love it here :)

Truff Glad you're enjoying Ireland!

Tiger What did you buy? I am jealous of anyone who goes shopping atm as December generally equals skint for me!

Raspberry We've got about half a foot of snow but while I was at Tesco OH cleared and gritted the (sloping, idiotic) driveway so it's not as bad, no more has fallen since we got home so shouldn't be a problem tomorrow as long as nothing freezes. Did have some fun sledging in the car on the way home though

Karstan Hope the mulled wine was good Grin I've been craving gingerbread for a while now so I think I shall make the most of having tomorrow off and get some baking done.

Flick Sorry you're still feeling rubbish. Have everything crossed for your test tomorrow, but as your OH said (as did mine) if this isn't your month then you can drink over Christmas and come back to it next month.

Whoever does the list, it was indeed ERTD the other day so whoever does Monday's list can I please be put to CD 5, Cycle 5 please?

I've been trying not to think too much about TTC over the weekend but after one too many glasses of wine on Friday night I did have a little weep to my best friend. Still planning to just have a good December and then think about things in January, and OH has said he'll come with me to the Dr in Jan and discuss things. We actually worked out that I've had my coil out for over two years now, so we're not even really fibbing about dates, we just weren't actively trying before August. Which worries me a little, but we were using condoms some of the time and the rhythm method the rest so I'm trying to be positive in that way.

We had a fab weekend in Edinburgh, it was meant to be one night, but my work night out on Saturday was cancelled due to the weather so we stayed down for a little bit longer and got to chill with our lovely friends which was very much what the doctor ordered, as was the one am snowball fight Grin Also got to go round the Christmas market and drink mulled mead! Thought I was going to miss the market this year as I'm now working weekends until Christmas so glad we got to fit it in. Right, must be off to bed, six hours on the A9 is very tiring!

TigerseyeMum · 28/11/2010 23:12

Toria I didn't buy anything exciting, a few presents. But my friend, who is gorgeous, bought a lovely Coast dress and fancy undies.

I bought slippers and a nightie from Bhs for my mum Wink

goldmaple · 29/11/2010 03:44

Hi ladies!

Sorry to have been MIA for so long. Unfortunately AF did get me but due to circumstances DH and I have decided that we need to stop TTC at least until the new year.:( Its only 1-2 months so not too bad, if I could be moved to not counting days...

Congrats ifatfirst and good luck to everyone else!! I hope to catch up with you all in the grads thread! And I will still probably lurk...:)

MissFlick · 29/11/2010 05:30

Morning all,

Just a quick post from me as am on my phone on my way for blood test so can't do the list either.

Thanks mumnerves for being so sweet. I'm so excited for you- I can't believe it has come round so quickly for you!

Welcome pearl what a lovely name!

Sorry about ERTD goldmaple but it's going to be the new year before we know it so you'll soon be back on the ttc horse.

Glad you had a lovely weekend toria but sorry about your delay. What's the situation like this morning?

Sorry about ERTD truff sounds like the weekend had taken your mind off it nicely though! Being snowed in sounds awesome and very romantic too. Are you off work today too?

raspberry hope you got the Christmas shopping done in the end :)

Thanks for the coast recommendation tiger and sorry you've been a bit teary too.

Really don't want to have this blood test-As long as ERTD is not here and I know that I ovulated then I have a little piece of hope!

CaveMum · 29/11/2010 06:55

MissFlick keeping everything crossed for you this morning.

MissFlick · 29/11/2010 08:30

CaveMum · 29/11/2010 08:43

Flick I'm so sorry (((hugs)))

Raspberry I'm sure that was exciting in its own special way Wink

Goldmaple I've moved you on the list, but as Flick said, by the time you've got Christmas out of the way it'll be the new year before you know it!

Things up here are still carnage, OH's school takes in a lot of rural pupils so they're closed oday, as is our SEN school and most of the primaries, the situation, as far as I can gather from a quick look at bookface, is similar in Edinburgh, Fife and Orkney! Unfortunately my poor friend K, who has a 50 minute communte to work had got up and had her coffee before she heard that the school was closed so she's now buzzing around her bedroom Grin

OP posts:
Karstan · 29/11/2010 09:37

Ertd has arrived for me this morning, pretty much expected.

Sorry about your results missflick.

gardenpixie · 29/11/2010 09:38

Oh MissFlick Sad for you ... have this great big (((hug))) and gin and tonic. I know it's not much consolation but at least the clomid is doing its thing in terms of ovulation so it really is only a matter of time until it happens for you. It's so difficult though as doing the whole clomid thing does change your expectations and it makes it particularly crappy when you know you've done EVERYTHING right but it still hasn't led to a Flicklette. I hope you can take it easy today and get lots of cuddles from Mr F.

Welcome Pearl lovely to meet you - I hope this is a very lucky thread for you!

Sorry everyone else for dashing off but I am squeezing in a quick post before a presentation. Will try to pop back later to see how everyone is doing Grin
