Calyx · 17/02/2011 10:38

Congratulations Toria lots of luck! I would tell your friend too (sworn to secrecy of course!) :)

cherrycobbler · 17/02/2011 11:25

YAY toria huge congrats!!!!!!! Have all fingers crossed for very happy and uneventful nine months for you. Door is always open on the grads thread whenever you feel ready

Karstan · 17/02/2011 12:44

Congrats Toria, I'm just having a quick catch-up on my phone after holidays so it was great to read some positive news.

Had a lovely holiday, not been keeping track of ttc or days or anything and it's been lovely to step away from it all a bit.

All ready to start a new cycle now. Will try and read rest of thread later.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 17/02/2011 13:09

LizzyMathsWhizzy TTC #1 Cycle 3 UCL 30 CD 2

I'm back after a traumatic day in hospital yesterday I had an ectopic pregnancy which ended very early at 4 weeks. Sad I got a BFP on valentines day, then started bleeding on the 15th, how shit is that?

Congratulations to Toria and anyone else who had a BFP while I've been AWOL, gives the rest of us hope.

I'm going to have a Biscuit and a Brew and move on to cycle 3. I'm just starting to track temps etc, on fertility friend, does anyone have any advice? I'm finding it a little frustrating that at the moment there is only one point on the chart!

LateToTheTTCParty · 17/02/2011 13:34

Aww Lizzy, that's a shame, I hope you're not feeling too blue about it, and that everything is ok after the ectopic - that's a horrible thing to go through

I'm on CD3 (cycle 3 as well, like you!) and using the Period Tracker app to keep track of things - I was going to ask for advice about temperature stuff as well as up til now I've just been using those dip-sticks that show the LH surge...

CaveMum · 17/02/2011 13:37

Lizzy I'm so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are doing ok Sad.

Can't offer any advice for FF, I stopped using it in September when it became clear my bits were on strike! Just remember that it only informs you of ovulation after it has happened, so it is more a guide for you to plot future cycles.

Imps7 · 17/02/2011 13:42

Lizzy I am so very very sorry to hear your news. That really must have been horrible for you. Sending lots of support to you and your OH.

I guess I'm the next one to test - the pressure's on after Toria's lovely news! I just walked into Boots to buy another test, only to remember how sad I felt when I got a BFN after testing early yesterday so managed to make myself turn around and walk back out again. I count that as an achievement.

ERTD type cramps have disappeared today and have been replaced with a strange sort of pressure feeling, which at various points through the morning has made me feel like I need a wee and at others has made me feel quite queasy. If I end up getting a BFN this will be yet another symptom that my mind has magicked up - it's quite creative really.

Tomboywife - LOL at the mad sperm dash!

Truffkin · 17/02/2011 16:49

Lizzy so sorry to hear about the horrible week you have had (((hugs))) and if you want some support with charting, head over to the 'Charters Anonymous' thread in conception. They are a lovely group of ladies and some very knowledgeable charters who can help with your chart interpretation as you get towards ovulation / 2WW territory!

Toria I hope you don't mind me adding you as a grad Grin

Tomboy I did LOL at your story of your poor DH making a mad dash across town with his precious pot making sure it got there on time! Fingers crossed for good results.

So sorry, Lizzy, that's horrible news, I hope you're ok :(

It's CD28 for me today - keep your fingers crossed, everyone. My temperature dropped a bit this morning, but was still above the coverline so I'm holding out a small shred of hope.

I think DH might be a bit hopeful this month too - he made me a lovely dinner on Monday, but instead of opening the fizzy wine, he gave us alcohol-free lager in champagne flutes "just in case" Grin

Imps7 · 18/02/2011 07:12

ERTD here BOO! So now it's Cycle 3, CD 1.

Good luck Giraffe!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 18/02/2011 08:46

Lizzy I'm so sorry, what an awful thing to have to go through.

Sorry to hear about ERTD Imps Wine

Tomboy I too had a laugh at your story of MrTomboy trying to safely transport his swimmers across London! I hate the underground so now have some fab images lol.

Fingers crossed Giraffe

Truff I am very excited to be on the grads list!

Thanks for all the congrats girls, and to the grads who popped up, I've got a Drs appt on Thurs so I'll probably be over after that when I believe it's real (despite having already taken three tests lol)

OP posts:
womanlytales · 18/02/2011 08:57

Hearty congrats Toria. Terribly sorry Lizzy for what you have gone through.

highheelsandequations · 18/02/2011 09:55

Congratulations toria, 3 tests is nothing, I took one every day until 7 weeks!

Truffkin · 18/02/2011 10:53

Right Giraffe any POAS action in your house today? I'm waiting for more good news!!

Imps boo to ERTD, have updated your stats on the list and will offer you this Wine to commiserate!

My ERTD thankfully buggered off yesterday so MrT and I were able to have an emotional farewell (he is only away for the weekend on a stag do but I'm a big sap and hate to be away from him!)

My Mom is coming to stay for the weekend, so we are taking advantage of his absence to enjoy some girl time. We are having lunch and pedicures tomorrow, plus going to see my brother's band play a gig tomorrow night. Then probably a big Sunday lunch and a bit of shopping before she heads home on Sunday afternoon. Her train leaves only 20 minutes before MrT gets home and that will give me just enough time to travel from Marylebone to St Pancras to meet him so perfect timing Grin

Imps7 · 18/02/2011 13:11

Thanks for the Wine girls - really wish I had a real one at my desk with me!

ERTD isn't in full flow yet so it could just be spotting - you never know, I may still be on cycle 2!

Imps7 · 18/02/2011 13:39

Oh, I meant to say - Toria isn't it a coincidence that the month in which you go to see the GP about not being able to conceive is the month that you do! Do you think that the appt took a bit of the pressure off and helped things happen? It's fascinating how that can happen.

Truff - sounds like you've got a lovely weekend planned - hope you have a lovely relaxing time! When is OH back?

evilgiraffe · 18/02/2011 13:57

Sorry to disappoint, Truff.

evilgiraffe TTC#1, Cycle 7, UCL 28, CD1

I cried on DH for about fifteen minutes this morning.

Imps7 · 18/02/2011 16:25

Hmmm, well it turns out it wasn?t ERTD at all ? just a bit of spotting which happens every now and then.

So for now, at least, I?m Cycle 2 CD 33.

Isn?t it reassuring how well I know my own body? Blush

Sorry to hear that the witch got you Giraffe. I hope you can keep your chin up. Have a Wine and a wallow this eve though if it makes you feel better.

Karstan · 18/02/2011 18:11

"Toria isn't it a coincidence that the month in which you go to see the GP about not being able to conceive is the month that you do! Do you think that the appt took a bit of the pressure off and helped things happen?"

I think it's just sods law, I'm a strong believer in it

As I just spent 80 squid on new bras it's bound to happen for me soon isn't it? Grin

Imps7 · 18/02/2011 18:35

Yes Karsten you're probably right!! Fingers crossed that you don't get to wear said new bras!

ToriaPumpkinHead · 18/02/2011 18:38

Seems to happen quite a lot Imps! Fingers crossed the spotting was something exciting!

And Karstan I think that's definitely a good start Grin

Sorry to hear about ERTD Giraffe Have some Wine for me!

Enjoy your weekend Truff You too have some wine for me Grin

OH is a bit more chilled today, and has brought it up all by himself a couple of times which is nice. He's also beginning to relax his view on telling people, so I might get to tell my best friend yet! Thought he might one it had sunk in a bit. The weekend away has been called off though due ot my friend putting her back out and being flat on the floor for the forseeable future so no lying this weekend, has taken the pressure off somewhat!

Contemplating getting in some alcohol free Kopparberg and chilling out all weekend Grin

OP posts:
TomboyWife · 18/02/2011 22:22

Sorry to hear about ERTD giraffe. Sad

Any new developments Imps? If that wasn't actually ERTD, is it time to POAS?

I'm deluding myself feeling a bit hopeful today as I've had weird cramps that aren't quite pre-ERTD cramps, and been feeling weirdly light-headed and vaguely sick by spells.

Oh, and I had a right old pop at DH yesterday over something that deserved a telling off but not to that extent. So we can add "prone to being an overly emotional b*tch" to the symptom list. Blush That one's easily explained by PMT though, so I'm not sure it counts.
