Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
Imps7 · 08/02/2011 07:22

I may starting charting in a couple of months if we've had no luck by then. I can't believe how much there is to know about your body/cycle and how little I actually do know!

Still no symptoms at all - how boring. I must be at 2/3 days PO by now at least and just feel normal (well as normal as I ever feel!)

Good luck Giraffe - when do you get to POAS?

Truffkin · 08/02/2011 09:37

Don't panic Imps if you are pg there won't be any implanting until 7-10DPO. Note: this knowledge doesn't stop me imagining symptoms some months Grin I'm now 7DPO so really hoping for a sign sooner rather than later! Holding off charting is a good idea and I'd been TTC for a little while before discovering these forums so was able to keep the menkul down a bit at first!

Fingerscrossed1 · 08/02/2011 10:51

Truff I did sign up for an account...how do they know it was you that told me about it, or am I being thick? Confused

It looks quite good. I too however am wondering whether to hold off from charting just yet in case it makes me even more obsessed.

The SWIing has been going exceptionally well, managed 3 nights since friday so fingers crossed.

Truffkin · 08/02/2011 11:10

Nice work FingersCrossed sounds like you are doing all you can this month, hope it's your month then you won't need to worry about charting at all!

I think on FF if you view my chart then link from there to the home page and sign up, it classes that as a 'referral' (although I wasn't aware you could do this - a message came up when I logged into my account saying that someone had signed up after viewing my chart so I get 5 days added on to my membership!)

CaveMum · 08/02/2011 13:47

Afternoon all, hope you're all well.

Just thought I'd pop in and say, as far as I remember, with Agnus Castus (or Agnes Cactus as she used to be known), you should take it for the first half of your cycle (ie up to ovulation) as there is a small chance that it can cause problems if you are pregnant.

Fingerscrossed1 · 08/02/2011 15:36

Ah yes truff, you're right I did follow the link from your message to your chart. Very clever that!

I certainly have been doing everything I can this time, post coital legs in the air and and everything!

Imps7 · 09/02/2011 11:43

Hi all

Still scraping the symptom barrel - my skin has been uncharacteristically bright, soft and smooth for the past couple of days - a definite sign of pregnancy, no?!

Part of me (and I will whisper this because I know you'll all think me stupid) thinks that maybe I did conceive last month but didn't implant - from the day after OV to the day before ERTD I have honestly never felt quite so peculier (or my nips so sore!) - I can't really explain but it felt like I had chemicals pulsing through my body and, I dunno, my body just felt very very different.

I know that it was probably just my mind playing tricks on me, but surely it would play the same tricks this month too?

Anyway, sorry, I was just thinking out loud really.

I've never heard of Anges Cactus before - will look it up!

Just updating the list. Imps you will hopefully not be TTC long enough to realise that your body does something different but equally weird and metal-making every month!

Last night I had really broken sleep (very unusual for me who could sleep through and earthquake) punctuated with strange baby-related dreams. This included one where I gave my husband a valentines gift of a used pee-stick tied with a red ribbon Shock

I think it was because I had some crampy, stretchy feelings round the womb region plus lower back ache and did indulge myself in a little daydreaming that it was implantation. Clearly this means that today there has been nothing even slightly resembling a pg symptom just to teach me a lesson!

LateToTheTTCParty · 09/02/2011 19:11

Eee! I'm 3dpo and trying not to convince myself that this will be the month...(only my 2nd cycle TTC for goodness sake)

Also have cystitis (is that from too much SWI?) and hoping that the antibiotics won't do anything to spoil my chances this cycle...

evilgiraffe · 09/02/2011 19:55

CaveMum - thank you for the advice! My chart looks like today is the day for ovulating, so will not have any more agnus from now until ERTD inevitably turns up once more. That is actually what I'd decided to do anyway, so v reassuring that your advice matches!

Imps - it's ages before POAS. I'm not going to get my hopes up for a good long while!

Imps7 · 09/02/2011 21:09

Truff - you mean that it's going to be different every month? That sucks arse!

LTTTTCP - poor you! I would have thought that the antibiotics will not be an issue before implantation? No idea though really - hell, I didn't even know that implantation took 7-10 days until Truff mentioned it earlier this week!

I've got so much to learn...sometimes it feels like I'm preparing for an exam rather than trying for a baby!

Imps

LateToTheTTCParty · 10/02/2011 07:53

Imps - I didn't know about that implantation thing either, and I'm now worrying that I shouldn't do any yoga until 10dpo in case it disrupts things...! Confused Truff, do you know the answer to that?

I knew TTC wasn't an exact science, but the more you find out about what needs to come together & happen all at the crucial moment, the more you begin to wonder how it happens at all! (let alone by mistake!) Grin

Antibiotics have kicked in and the worst of the cystitis is over - as the doc said, they don't like prescribing them in early pregnancy (that's me being very hopeful), but it was a necessary as untreated it could get a whole lot worse.

It was weird telling the doctor yesterday that I was trying to get pregnant, it's the first time I've said it out loud to anyone other than DH... it kind of made it 'official', and me feel all grown-up! He was very sweet and said congratulations just in case Smile

Fingerscrossed1 · 10/02/2011 09:42

Arghhhhhhhhhhh! Trying not to be downhearted, the SWI was going really well then the night before last DP had to stop half way through...think I'd worn him out from the few days before, and then last night he was too knackered as well!

Apparantly, next month it'd be better if he didn't know when the 'best times' to do it are and I just pounce on him without mentioning TTC at all and then he doesn't feel pressure!

Also yesterday when I found out that we'd lost out on a house we wanted to go for and I cried a little bit he seemed baffled and said 'I don't understand why you're crying' He's not usually this emotionally constipated but the two things together irritated me to say the least [angry}

Imps7 · 10/02/2011 10:09

Fingers - know how you feel - I've stopped telling OH when the best times are as he gets performance anxiety! Bless them, I suppose they do feel under pressure.

Sorry to hear about house - it is upsetting though when you've got your heart set on one but miss out. Are there any others you've seen?

Fingerscrossed1 · 10/02/2011 11:39

Performance anxiety, that was the phrase I was looking for!

The house was a one off, affordable housing in the lake district doesn't come up very often Sad Never mind, something will come up.

Will try, try, try not to get cross with DP

Imps7 · 10/02/2011 13:47

Getting cross won't encourage the SWI! That's the only reason why I'm letting OH get away with so much at the moment!

Well I have two more "symptoms" today - a fair bit of CM (which is unusual - I'm usually quite, err, dry (TMI sorry)) and some mild ERTD pains, even though that's at least a week away. Boobs still normal though (unless I poke them really really hard in which case they hurt Grin ) and nothing else to report.

Any symptoms from you Truff?

Hi ladies, am LOLing at the idea that I might be some sort of fertility expert! As far as I know LateToTheParty it is advised that you hold off certain yoga positions and reduce the intensity of your session once you know you are pregnant http://womenfitness.net/yoga_during_preg1.htm you might find this link helpful

Unfortunately no symptoms from me at all, even though I have continued to indulge in boob-prodding! I had another broken night's sleep last night with strange (and one quite scary) dreams that kept waking me up. This is the only thing I can pinpoint that is not 'usual' for me, but assume it means nothing and I am being a loony!

TomboyWife · 12/02/2011 11:59

Well, DH finally made an appointment with the w*nk-in-a-cup clinic, something like 8 months after being referred. Meanwhile I need to ask for my day 2 and 21 bloods to be re-done as the first round happened on a cycle I'm 99% sure was anovulatory.

We're pretty sure the reason we haven't conceived is just stress (the causes of which have thankfully been sorted out now -- well, mostly), but time's a-tickin' and I'm not getting any younger, so best to know for sure.

CaveMum · 12/02/2011 15:04

My it is quiet in here these days! I am lurking, but until I've had my appointment I don't have much to report.

Tomboy glad you got DH off to the clinic and hope you get some positive results back.

evilgiraffe · 13/02/2011 08:17

Sounds good, Tomboy. I'm just waiting now - pretty sure we got timing bang on this cycle, but I'm desperately trying not to get my hopes up. UCL will take me until next Friday, so there's a good while before any hope is justified!

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Hello all

Glad appt has come through TomboyWife - 8 months is a ridiculous wait! Hope the results are all in your favour.

My boobs are hurting like hell at the moment and I've woken up with a bloody nostril two mornings in a row, which I read on the Two Week Wait website is a symptom that quite a few ladies have reported. However, I am taking the fact that I've had bloody nostrils with a massive pinch of salt as it was only after I'd read that website that I started having them - therefore I'm pretty sure it's another psychological one.

Other than that, no other symptoms at all. POAS due on Thursday at the earliest - I am damned proud of myself that I haven't already done it (or even been tempted to) since OV.

Hope all's well and happy Sunday to you all.
