Ok ladies, here's the new thread, let's hope it's a lucky one!

OP posts:
CaveMum · 04/02/2011 13:36

Nooooo! I'm going to be rattling round this thread on my own at this rate Sad [squatter].

Josie and Kaloki we'll miss you!

Think I'm definitely going to hit the Wine now (loving the new emotcion!)

Truffkin · 04/02/2011 16:32

Cave it's just us kidder! Let's definitely hit the Wine to drown our sorrows!

evilgiraffe · 04/02/2011 20:18

I'm still lurking, guys. I can be found on the TSA threads in adult fiction most nights, too - anyone who wants to be very silly and read nonsense is more than welcome.

I'm on cycle day 15 today, and so far this cycle have been more assiduous than usual with the SWI. We WILL carry on being this good, we WILL. Especially as fertility friend says my usual ovulation day is CD20, so not far off now.

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 00:01

Hi Giraffe, glad there are some frolickers still about! We shall have to try harder to recruit new friends congrats on the studious SWI, I hope it bears fruit for you this cycle.

I am 3DPO and of course I know it's a few days before I can indulge in some light symptom spotting so have definitely not been inventing any suspicious symptoms yet Blush

Right, am off to bed to read my book (well Kindle) as I started 'Room' this morning during my commute and am absolutely hooked! Hope everyone's having a fabulous weekend, mine is utterly plan-free, which is much needed and I am very much looking forward to a big, lazy lie in tomorrow!

Imps7 · 05/02/2011 09:40

I really haven't got this knowing-when-I'm-ovulating thing sussed yet - I had thought may I had on Tuesday but that would be more than 16 days before ERTD so doesn't seem possible/likely. It could well be today - better get to it just in case!

Hope everyone's okay... Truff don't mind if I join you in the symptom spotting for the next couple of weeks...

Imps

TomboyWife · 05/02/2011 11:20

Well, I'm still here, if not the most frequent poster.

Sorry to hear you're going Josie and Kaloki. Come back sometime if/when you feel ready, we'll miss you. Sad

Imps you may well have ovulated early this cycle. It can vary a little bit (or sometimes a lot) from month to month. Me, I think I'm doing it round about now as I had some mild, vaguely weird cramps yesterday. We've been reasonably active on the SWI front, though not fabulously active. I hope it's enough!

CaveMum · 05/02/2011 11:42

Imps thought you'd want to know that they've just announced Peter Andre for the Newmarket Nights this year. Not sure that constitutes "cheesy" music in your eyes, but thought you'd like to know!

I can't remember the date, I think it is August, but it will be on the racecourse website Grin

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 13:40

Imps I only know when I'm ovulating because I've been charting my cycles for a while. I find it helps me to be able to track what's going on and it shows clearly when I ovulate every month. The last 2 or 3 months I've been able to predict ovulation as well as having it confirmed afterwards by temps.

So I've spent some time this afternoon trying to update the list as it's been a good few weeks since it was posted and was rather out of date! Florinand CookieMoo I couldn't work out your stats based on the chat since the last list so if you can update, I will add you on. Everyone else, you may want to check your info as I ended up having to write stuff down to keep up to date since the last list so let me know if anything is wrong!

I've added Raspberry Josie and Kaloki to the Missing In SWI Action list, as I didn't have the heart to take them off completely Blush It does however look like we have quite a number of cycle buddies this month as so many ERTD's arrived on the same day in January!

Yay I am on the list!!! thanks truffkin x

To update my details should I just copy and paste todays details or is that rude?

I have just finished work and the housework so am having a rest and trying to figure out how to spice up SWI tonight )

I am a little worried as will be away next weekend to see my friend, really hope I dont ov while I am away Hmm

cookiemoo · 05/02/2011 16:07

Thx truffkin! I'm cd 7, cycle 25 (I think) ucl 26.

Truffkin · 05/02/2011 16:59

updated list for Cookie and yes of course Weimy just cut and paste and include your stats.
Will try to remember to come on for an update tomorrow but whomever is on here first in the day is welcome to repost the list and just add a day on to everyone's cycle (or amend to new cycle / BFP if announcements have been made of course!)

Also re: OV, remember that SWI the day before is best for making sure the swimmers are in situ when the egg is laid so if you VO on Saturday for example, so long as you manage a farewell shag on Friday, your timing should be ok! Clearly it's best to try for more days if you can but in these circumstances it's good to have a Plan B!

I'm here, I'm here. Sorry to see those who are going go :( But we'll always be here, Well I'll sometimes be here...

Truff You can menkul with me, pretty sure I ovulated proper yesterday judging by EWCM after several days of watery CM. Thanks for sorting the list out, though think I'm wrong somewhere as I'm going for a Day 21 blood test on Tuesday so can only be day 18. Will get it sorted at some point though.

Imps7 · 07/02/2011 07:26

Well this is very boring - not a single symptom to keep me occupied. Last month I had the works - sore boobs, light headedness, nausea towards the end of the TWW - this month, nada. Pah. Oh well, at least it will mean I'm not tempted to keep POAS every 5 minutes.

Hope you all had good weekends - my keep-off-the-booze-during-TWW rule totally collapsed - enjoyed far too much Wine.

Imps

Imps7 · 07/02/2011 10:17

Oh, I did have one (TMI) symptom this morning - my wee smelt like it does when I've eaten asparagus - but I haven't eaten any asparagus since June. Therefore I must definitely be pregnant this month... Hmm

Fingerscrossed1 · 07/02/2011 11:03

Well I'm due to OV anytime so have managed some SWI over the weekend and hopefully tonight, determined to really go for it this time!

Can anyone explain to me what charting is and roughly how you do it?

weimy · 07/02/2011 11:28

Fingerscrossed I am due to ov soon too so getting plenty of swi in.

If you go to the charters anon thread they have loads of advice, and you can create a free chart on fertility friend. You will need a thermometer that goes to 2 decimal points. The idea is you can roughly tell when and if you have ov'd by temp dips and rises. lets you know when to get extra swi in.

hope this helps x

Hi Frolickers, it does feel quiet in here now doesn't it? Imps nice work on the wine consumption! We've had 2 weekends off the booze now as we've got 4 in a row of visitors, weddings, parties etc. That sounds like a definite symptom BTW! I have eaten an entire bag of M&S extremely chocolately caramels and now feel sick, nausea is a symptom right? Grin

FingersCrossed sounds like your SWI plan is going well this month, all in the timing! Weimy's advice on charting is good, the charters anonymous thread is really good for advice and they are a friendly bunch over there. My best advice is to register for the free Fertility Friend account on FertilityFriend.com, get yourself a BBT thermoneter (this measures your resting temperature) and start logging your temps every morning. Basically there are 2 temp 'phases' in every cycle and your post OV temps tend to be higher than pre-OV temps so you can recognise what day you ovulated by the thermal shift this is the link to my chart so you can see what I mean.

The short charting lessons will tell you everything you need to know and the charters anonymous group will help you with everything else!

Fingerscrossed1 · 07/02/2011 17:28

Wow, thanks for that weimy and truff. Will have a butchers later

Truffkin · 07/02/2011 18:10

Did you sign up for a FF account Fingers ? I just got 5 days free on my membership so thanks Grin If you buy the VIP membership, we both get 30 days free! I didn't know this so maybe I should post the link more often Wink

Imps7 · 07/02/2011 20:46

Truff and Weimy do you find that charting makes you obsess more or less? I'm tempted to start doing it but really don't want this TTC business to take over my life any more than it already is

Well I've just realised that because of my stupidly long cycle I only have 10 chances to get pg per year - not fair!

weimy · 07/02/2011 21:08

Imps I am not sure really I started after only my 1st month of ttc and this is just my third month.

It has made me a lot more aware of my body and I feel like I am a bit more in control( if you can be).

but I probably am obsessed Blush

evilgiraffe · 07/02/2011 23:01

I think charting makes me obsess less, to be honest. I'm less likely to make stuff up in my head - my chart can contradict me! Maybe being a scientist helps, though - I love graphs!

Have noticed EWCM for the first time ever I think, and am feeling quite optimistic this cycle. We have so far done more SWI than usual, and better timed too I think.

I've been taking agnus castus this cycle too - do you guys think that could be part of the reason for EWCM? Also, any advice on when to stop taking it would be gratefully received - it does advise not to take when TTC, but there were so many people taking it on MN that I thought I'd try, especially as my luteal phase seems quite short. Will probably take it up to day 28 and then stop, just in case.

Hope everyone's well! :)

Truffkin · 07/02/2011 23:04

Imps it definitely made me a bit more mental when I first started but have now been charting for 7 cycles and it kind of ticks along in the background! I like to check back over previous cycles to see trends as well. The main thing is it shows me I do ovulate and have a good length luteal phase, which is good news! I also feel like I have good info to discuss with my GP so feel a bit more in control. I will say that as I repeatedly fail to conceive in spite of all of the above and well timed sex, it makes for a pretty big bump back to earth each month.

Not sure if this helps at all and turned into a bit of a waffle in the end! Here, have some Wine

Truffkin · 07/02/2011 23:06

X post with Giraffe sounds good for you this month then! I think you'll find better advice on AC elsewhere but I'm not sure if you should take it during the 2WW. Fingers crossed that your studiousness pays off this month!
