So near, yet so far! Holiday villa for those waiting TTC#1 having suffered mc

Hi all,

I need to take a holiday with some lovely peeps in the same position; I'm TTC#1 but had 2 mc's this year and now discovered my luteal phase is only 9 days (anything under 10 considered a defect) and probably the reason that I cannot retain a pregnancy.

If you have yet to be blessed with motherhood because mc has cruelly taken away your chance so far, then this is the place to retreat for some R & R whilst your body recovers.

Pull up a sun lounger, and lie back for some lighthearted banter and support whilst monitoring cycles or undergoing investigation and wash down the Vit B6, Agnus Castus, Progesterone and Clomid with a lovely vodka glass of sparkling spring water!!

Morning all Xmas Smile
Tis PrettyVacant1.
How is everybody?
Hope you all had loverly proper Chrimbos.

I got an extra prezzie from Santa.
I was 6 days late and I have had a very stressful month (working hard and also being assaulted by a coked up knob thrown in 3 weeks ago) so after PO(4)S' which were all Negatory I put it down to stress.
My Christmas Day plans to get acquainted with a bottle of Amerrtto were scuppered by me feeling queasy and falling asleep for 3 hours.
I tested again and nearly fell off the loo!
Of course my timing is impeccable as I need steroids ASAP to stop NKcells attacking Cleatus and making me MC again.
I eventually managed to get hold of an out of hours Doc yesterday and persuade him to fax a prescription of drucks to a pharmacy close by.
When I can access my records tomorrow I can let consultant know and we can go from there.
I'm not getting my hopes up just yet but I really would love 7 to be my lucky number.

DachshingThroTheSnow · 29/12/2010 14:21

pretty how are you? hope you've managed to speak to the consultant now and that he's going to keep a proper eye on you? FX everything goes well.

How was everyone's Xmas? Any other secret BFPs to report?

I hope you all had a very Christmassy time and that lots of SWI was done. There are a positive plethora of BFPs going on at the moment so I look forward to some of the rest of you reporting updiffedness in the very near future.

wakarimasen · 29/12/2010 15:54

Congratulations to you Pretty. I don't really know your story as only been around for a short time. Fingers crossed for you.

We've had a lot of SWI in the last week and I am thoroughly exhausted Wink. Away abroad for the weekend to celebrate NYE. I really hope 2011 is a LOT better than 2010.

Best wishes for 2011 when it comes Grin

Hello everyone, can I join your party?!

My story - I just turned 31 this month, was ttc #1 and fell pg end Sept after about 6 months. Everything went well (or so we thought) until went for 12 week scan and booking in appt 3 weeks ago to find on scan that I had a "non-continuing pregnancy" aka blighted ovum, anembryonic pregnancy or whatever else you want to call it. Basically (and so sorry if this is too blunt for anyone), baby had not grown and all that was inside me was a big sac but no baby. Had ERPC 5 days later and still feeling quite sore and crampy. Christmas has been VERY odd.

So sorry to hear all your stories - but I hope it doesn't sound crass to say that knowing that there are others in the same boat makes me feel like less of a freak and strangely reassured. Do hope we're all out of this particular boat soon, though!

I shall now pull up a sun lounger and a large G and T if that's Ok?

thanks x

wakarimasen · 29/12/2010 19:10

Hi wellieboots welcome to this thread and sorry that you have had to join us Sad It must have been very hard to go through this at Christmas.

I had a very long MC in July eneding in an ERPC at the end of August. I have only recently decided to TTC again as found the whole thing very traumatic. I have found the last week or two very hard and have had a few tears (should not have watched ONE BORN AT CHRISTMAS on channel 4) Sad

But have a Bombay Sapphire on me and here's to 2011 Grin

Mamapower · 29/12/2010 19:41

Hello ladies. Just wanted to drop by to arrange the New Year party booze for later. What are you all up to this year?

DH and I are doing absolutely nothing. Haven't been invited to any parties. Guess we'll just be sitting at home alone and miserable, mulling over the crappy year 2010 has been and hoping that 2011 will be better.

New Year resolution - get pregnant! (Can't give up alcohol because I'm already not drinking any, have never smoked so can't give that up either, not having much tea because of the caffeine thing - why do some people just get pregnant by looking at a bloke and others do everything they can for 7 years and then manage to lose their only chance of being a mum?) Sorry for the rant, feeling really miserable today...

Hope you guys all have nice New Year's Eves planned and I have everything crossed that you'll all get a nice New Year BFP soon.

wellieboots · 31/12/2010 18:18

Hi dachs,
So sorry that you're feeling down today. Just wanted you to know someone cared and not leave your post unanswered. I can understand why you want 2010 out of the way - my mmc only happened 3 weeks ago and I feel the same even though most of this year was actually OK, so with the year you've had I don't blame you!

I really do hope that 2011 does bring us health happiness and BFPs!

big hugs to all
wellie

Velvetstocking · 31/12/2010 18:26

Aww dachs I wish you could come to the party I'm going to - it's gonna be another eve of avoiding the "when are you gonna have kids" questions.

Stay positive you are doing all the right things and I have everything crossed for you. I would send you babydust too but Santa missed that present from my list too.

Mamapower · 01/01/2011 18:15

Hi all, well I drank plenty of bubbles to ensure that I have consumed enough to cover the 9 months of not drinking WHEN (not if) I get that bean!! PMA for 2011!

Dachs I think NYE is overrated and if DH hadn't been working we would have snuggled up together too... Wishing you all the best for this IVF cycle xx

waves to you all... Happy New Year xx

Bit quiet round these parts

Hello mamapower I'm just checking in. Not much happening at the moment really - the 2ww is really dragging this month.

We went away for new year which was fun Smile

New year resolution is to stop stressing about TTC / MC. I am ditching the thermometer next cycle and just going to go with the flow and try to have a life!

Not started the diet yet as I feel I need to finish all the Christmas choc / wine as it would otherwise be very wasteful Grin
