So near, yet so far! Holiday villa for those waiting TTC#1 having suffered mc

Hi all,

I need to take a holiday with some lovely peeps in the same position; I'm TTC#1 but had 2 mc's this year and now discovered my luteal phase is only 9 days (anything under 10 considered a defect) and probably the reason that I cannot retain a pregnancy.

If you have yet to be blessed with motherhood because mc has cruelly taken away your chance so far, then this is the place to retreat for some R & R whilst your body recovers.

Pull up a sun lounger, and lie back for some lighthearted banter and support whilst monitoring cycles or undergoing investigation and wash down the Vit B6, Agnus Castus, Progesterone and Clomid with a lovely vodka glass of sparkling spring water!!

((((((velvet)))))) just what you need to book a holiday, something to look forward to always gives me a boost Xmas Grin

Sods law....when you have booked it you know what will happen huh?!? oh, i do hope so x

wakarimasen · 05/12/2010 16:42

I've booked a holiday to Sri Lanka for Easter Time. We were going to hold off but putting your life on hold only makes things worse I think. Only worry is that if I'm lucky to fall pg again I will be extremely anxious in a country so far away Confused but you need to carry on......

MamaChristmas · 05/12/2010 17:55

I second that Wakari and well said Xmas Smile so velvet go book that jolly and if you get upduffed in the meantime you won't even care if you lose money... as nix said it'll give you a boost having something to look forward too Xmas Smile

Waves to Orange, Dachs and Wombat

Morning lovelies! Wakarimasen, Velvet I'm having the same dillemma re holidays. DH wants to go to Oz in April (over my MC due date - which inciidentally now has a royal wedding on it just to make sure I can't miss the occasion!!). I'd love to go, but obviously I'm going to be upduffed by then (Xmas Hmm) so I'm apprehensive about the flights and being so far from home if something goes wrong again.

orestyemerrywombat · 06/12/2010 11:42

Good lord - awful spelling. Sorry!

wakarimasen · 06/12/2010 12:58

orest I think a holiday would be fine in April especially since Australia has similar standards of healthcare to here. I love my holidays so will always find a way to jet off somewhere new Smile

owlbooty · 07/12/2010 14:32

Mmm holidays. Aus sounds brilliant, Wombat , I'd definitely go for it. Tis impossible to put your entire life on hold because of ttc but having done exactly that for 8 months of my life so far I am in no position to give advice :)

MamaC I'm checking my knickers every 10 minutes and fretting because I haven't thrown up yet. Grin Am not complaining, mind, just massively, massively nervous about this.

Am so looking forward to finding the next bfp on this thread, I shall keep stalking you lot until I do Grin

orestyemerrywombat · 07/12/2010 15:00

Please do keep stalking Owly, we'd miss you if you abandoned us totally!

Hugs for Velvet, are you feeling any brighter today lovely??

. Still umming on the holiday. Maybe we should wait and book last minute...? Am also toying with the idea of buying a (second hand) sports car Xmas Blush. I'm thinking if anything is guaranteed to get me upduffed, blowing our carefully saved housedeposit/maternity leave fund to buy something totally incompatible with a baby has to be it, surely?! Xmas Grin.

MamaChristmas · 07/12/2010 17:56

ha ha ha Wombat do it, you're absolutely right, get the sports car and you'll be expecting within 9 months of delivery!! Do it Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

Owl whilst I can't wait to get a bean I know I will fear going to the loo so I totally get that! Try to relax hon and think positive. Def keep stalking us Xmas Smile

WhenStNixgotstuckuptheChimney · 08/12/2010 12:19

go for the holiday and the car wombo sure fire +ve then Xmas Grin Xmas Grin (as long as you get one that you can switch the front air bags off...just in case Xmas Grin)

orestyemerrywombat · 13/12/2010 11:45

Our little villa had fallen off the first page of the conception threads so I thought I'd bump it. How is everyone this morning?

Nix - wish I could afford to do both but it would be a bit crazier and more reckless than I'm capable of being I think [cautious person emoticon] Xmas Grin

MamaChristmas · 13/12/2010 11:54

Morning Wombat and all

I am sickly, got a nasty fever! Body temp is going up and down more times than a ho's knickers Xmas Grin Xmas Grin! I have snot pouring from my face and quite frankly I can't understand why DH isn't coming within a mile of me! Actually come to think of it, even the mutt is giving me a wide birth!! Charming! Xmas Grin

orestyemerrywombat · 13/12/2010 12:25

Oh MamaC - that doesn't sounds fun! Hopefully you've hit the worst and it's all better from now on!

owlbooty · 13/12/2010 16:39

Hello lovelies!

Oh and here in my Christmas sack is a kipper for Nix for all the knicker checking Grin

Womble perhaps you could buy a weekend in Scunthorpe and a Robin Reliant instead if you were feeling cautious? Or maybe not.

I was forced to eat two roast dinners over the weekend having eaten my own body weight in dim sum on Friday night. If I never see another roast spud again, it'll be too soon. I feel like a whale. Anyone else suffering from Xmas overindulgence already or I am just a greedy bugger?

orestyemerrywombat · 13/12/2010 17:03

Two roast dinners sounds FAB!! I had to give my roast a miss due to work so am very jealous Xmas Envy. Though the indian takeaway was a pretty good substitute Xmas Grin

wakarimasen · 13/12/2010 17:25

Hello again!

Everyone is probably busy getting reading for Christmas! I am still waiting on orders coming in the post - I've had no post at all for over 2 weeks Xmas Angry

I'm on 9 DPO at the moment and my temps have gone up for the last 3 days! Got my work's party on Friday so am kind of hoping I'm not pg so I can get sloshed (although I would be very pleased if I was!) More snow this week too - another snow day??? Xmas Smile

orestyemerrywombat · 13/12/2010 19:11

Ooh good luck Wakarimasen!

MamaChristmas · 17/12/2010 12:14

Wakari any news?? Can I smell a Christmas bean??

How's everyone else? Any nice plans for the weekend?

wakarimasen · 18/12/2010 14:31

No, I'm out this month! But my Luteal Phase remains at 11 days which is a minor cause for celebration......Xmas Wink

MamaChristmas · 20/12/2010 11:23

Bollox, me too, she showed up yesterday!! Oh well, perhaps a new year bean for us then Xmas Smile

orestyemerrywombat · 20/12/2010 11:27

Hello all!! Sorry that AF has shown up Wakarimasen and Mamac - perfect timing for a bit of Christmas partying though, no? [looking on the bright side emoticon]

MamaChristmas · 20/12/2010 17:27

Wombat yes I agree, every cloud and all that!! Bring on lots of festive bubbles Xmas Grin

DachshingThroTheSnow · 23/12/2010 11:33
