Come along, we haven't got all day. Pop off your blazers and straw boaters for a mo and listen up. As Head Girl, I think you ought to know that my dear chum Darrell Rivers tells me that we're really letting the side down with our lack of baybee-winning. To that end, instead of prep and lacrosse, we'll be TTC. I know some of us are losing hope that we'll ever win the Motherhood Cup for our house, but chins up and think of England! We don't won't to end up like the bitter, childless, dried-up old spinsters running this place, do w... oh, hello Matron! Yes, yes, we're going now...

Super! We've been given the attic dorm - bagsy the bed by the window, what! We won't be disturbed when we're enjoying midnight feasts, unbridled lesbianism, pillow fights and sneaking in fellows from the nearby boy's school for some ghastly dreadfulness.

So let's pop some Joyce Grenfell on the gramophone and crack open the tuck boxes! Mater's made me a huge ginger cake and oooh, I see someone's brought pontefract cakes! Yummo! Humbugs, sherbet, elderflower fizz, eccles cakes, a whole slab of choccy - what a simply smashing haul! Hmmm, this ginger beer smells suspiciously gin-like...

Oh yes

muse when you find it can you let me know what it is this problem plagues our bathroom and really CBA to take off the sealant for the 4th time Angry

Ariesgirl · 29/08/2010 10:53

Sorry, I haven't read the 26 posts which got before me, but I just wanted to let you know Scorps that I just cried with laughter on reading that opening salvo. Thank you muchly!

Now I'm going to get on with my prep.

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 10:58

by the way is "HBs plum tart" some sort of euphemism? Shock Wink

Ariesgirl · 29/08/2010 11:05

Hello again. Very pleased and happy to have you back Lyra. Or is it Daphne? Remembering three names for one person is tres difficile (hopes Mam'zelle won't notice the lack of a graf accent on tres). The AC PCT thing is a big worry isn't it? I wonder what the guidelines would be if Call Me Dave or Cleggy (hissssss) had had trouble procreating.

I have just done the Malory Towers quiz and am very disappointed to learn that my alter ego is Sally. How dull can you get? I would like you to call me Clarissa please, and I have a horse and am a whizz at lacrosse and all games actually.

Anyone up for a midnight feast this eve? Only let's not tell that ghastly prig Bunty.

saltyair · 29/08/2010 11:09

Gosh! So glad we got the attic dorm we are lucky. I just know this term is going to be the best ever

I am Felicity, I'm often to be found sneaking out at night to go skinny dipping in the swimming pool (remember, the one carved out of the cliffs?)

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 11:11

I got Alicia which is rather inaccurate and frankly a bit embarrassing. Hmm

saltyair · 29/08/2010 11:17

Incidentally, Salad I got Alicia too, but I'm ignoring that...

Ariesgirl · 29/08/2010 11:17

Muse I can'r believe that I, the queen of skank, is about to give someone a housekeeping tip, but this stuff is good! www.lakeland.co.uk/mould-remover/F/keyword/mould+cleaner/product/20284

Muser · 29/08/2010 11:33

That is exactly what I am off to buy Aries! I decided I couldn't wait for Lakeland to deliver so am off on a bus trip to B&Q. I really hope it works.

Headbanger · 29/08/2010 11:54

Peggy Brown-Fossington reporting for duty! Daddy is taking my new pony to the gymkhana today so I won't be in the dorm until after supper, but Mummy says I can bring lashings of cake for our tuckbox so we can have a midnight feast! What larks!

saltyair · 29/08/2010 11:55

Oh Jolly, jolly good Pegs. Do hope you and your pony do well today.

Tally-ho!

Medee · 29/08/2010 12:10

what ho, gels! What fun to be back at school. Marvellous new dorm

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 12:15

For that reason salty I might have to continue start to pash on you. Would you like me to clean your shoes until you can see your face in them? Or make your bed for you? Or do your trig prep?

Ariesgirl · 29/08/2010 12:16

Oh I forgot to add my surname. It's Twatt-Smythe. Clarissa Twatt-Smythe.

Scorpette · 29/08/2010 12:18

Muser, you know how to live! Hmm

PenelopeTart, me and my boyfriend (don't tell Mam'zelle!) are also going to see Scott Pilgrim in the very same city as you today! Shock We're going at bloody 4pm to fit in around the bastard Grand Prix Angry What time are you going? Cos if it's the same time, I shall be constantly glancing furtively around the screen room to see if I can recognise signs of BESHery (deranged hunger in eyes, cradling handbag like a swaddled newborn, partner who looks drained of all semen and emotion, etc., etc.) Grin

Salad, Prefect (love it!) is correct - your name should be Lettice!

BTW, where is this Malory Towers quiz thang? I wanna do it! LINKAGE NOW, PLEASE!

Thanks guys, for compliments on opening salvo. Hopefully that and the title will give the blahdy hint (hope you appreciated the touch of Molesworth too)!

Well, is CD15 and I OVed yesterday. My work for this cycle is done (although will be secksing TYF today because... why the hell not?!).

Oh, and of course 'plum tart' is a euphemism! HB is insatiable. Gives that 3x a day TTC women a run for her money, I can tell you, arf arf!

OP posts:
saltyair · 29/08/2010 12:24

Lettice you may snuggle up in make my bed.

Jolly good show scorps on the Secs for this month. Can't hurt to have one final salvo though hey?

I would like to complain pliz...I was 2WOOFLing yesterday and imaginingdefinitely feeling all sorts of symptoms. Wake up this morning? Nada. What is that about? Hmm

Ariesgirl · 29/08/2010 12:38

I wouldn't know Molesworth if he kicked me up the arse. I'm too busy entering gymkhanas and having midnight feasts for literature.

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 12:38

It means you are definitely diffed oldsaltybean

link is here Ursula. Acksherly Lettice is was my secret first name, I decided to adopt my more sensible middle name of Judith upon starting this new school due to too much leaf based ribbing at prep school. Damn you sneaky girls snooping in Matrons files, you have found out my secret! Blush

Scorpette · 29/08/2010 13:03

Molesworth is TOPP as any fule kno. Not knowing him is a total chiz, moan drone.

That quiz says I am Alicia, wouldn'tcha know?!

The mould spray has been applied. After 10 minutes the grouting looks brand new. The sealant is not looking so good. I fear it won't work on the sealant and I will have to replace. But it's nice having shiny white grouting.

Anyway gels. I shall be making a toppo Victoria Sponge this afternoon with raspberries and lashings and lashings of chantilly cream. Anyone fancy coming to my room for afternoon tea?

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 14:18

bloody hell yes please muser quite weird as just before I came on here we were discussing the idea of making a victoria sponge cake this avo as cinema has been cancelled.*

btw, the dettol anti-mold spray seems to work on black mold even on the sealant. might be worth a go before you have to strip it off.

*we were discussing but I would be making, the boy is watching the GP then the FB :(

Muser · 29/08/2010 14:22

If this mould stuff doesn't work I don't think anything will. Problem is the mould is probably under the sealant, rather than on top, so harder to clean off. Or it could just be stained from the mould, so even once the mould is gone it still looks bad.

My lovely dad did say (very reluctantly) that he'd redo it next time he comes to stay. He hates doing sealant as well, but that's twice we've tried and been left with patches of black mould. It is SO annoying.

owlshoes · 29/08/2010 14:26

What ho, gels. What a simply marvellous new thread, top notch, Ursula/Scorps .

I am Gwendolene Alberquerque-Farquahar. With a name like that I must surely love ponies and be simply whizzo at hockey. Hoorah!!! Ponies!!!*

(*Ironic extra apostrophes, pliz no beating)

Saladbomb · 29/08/2010 14:48

golly gosh toowittoes you have only gone and given me this as an ear worm?

shame muser i would have done it, I quite like doing sealant

owlshoes · 29/08/2010 16:06

Buahahahah oh no you've been reading B3ta. I did actually get caught out with that the other day at work, thankfully had headphones on but almost hit the ceiling.

Have just scrolled up and noticed Clarissa's surname. ~snort~
