Come along, we haven't got all day. Pop off your blazers and straw boaters for a mo and listen up. As Head Girl, I think you ought to know that my dear chum Darrell Rivers tells me that we're really letting the side down with our lack of baybee-winning. To that end, instead of prep and lacrosse, we'll be TTC. I know some of us are losing hope that we'll ever win the Motherhood Cup for our house, but chins up and think of England! We don't won't to end up like the bitter, childless, dried-up old spinsters running this place, do w... oh, hello Matron! Yes, yes, we're going now...

Super! We've been given the attic dorm - bagsy the bed by the window, what! We won't be disturbed when we're enjoying midnight feasts, unbridled lesbianism, pillow fights and sneaking in fellows from the nearby boy's school for some ghastly dreadfulness.

So let's pop some Joyce Grenfell on the gramophone and crack open the tuck boxes! Mater's made me a huge ginger cake and oooh, I see someone's brought pontefract cakes! Yummo! Humbugs, sherbet, elderflower fizz, eccles cakes, a whole slab of choccy - what a simply smashing haul! Hmmm, this ginger beer smells suspiciously gin-like...

Oh yes

I think we should probably leave religion and beliefs alone before someone gets upset (though it may be a bit late for that). There are other forums for that :)

Blessed are the cheesemakers and all that.

How you doing HeadGirl and Cassiopeia?

Casserole · 31/08/2010 15:58

It's not a grand day today tbh 12pt.

But how are you?

Scorpette · 31/08/2010 16:21

Am all ranted out (although last bit wasn't ranty). Although please all to remember that when religion is discussed, the non-believers are as offended by believers as vice versa. People think it's one-way traffic when it's not. 'Tis all I want people to recognise.

Anyhoo, I cannot complain about religion anymore because Teh Baybee Jebus must've heard my prayers as I have found out that the FC nearest me (literally 4 miles away!) does natural and mild IVF. Virtually nowhere outside That London offers it, so huzzah! Of course, I haz no funding and we can't afford it, but at least I know it's there if things change!

Well, I haven't left the flat yet. Everyone outside is either pregnant or has kids. Even the old men. Will feel like I'm trying to wend my way through a zombie hoard.

Might go away for a bit. Have pissed people off with religi-chat and am struggling to write anything that's not doom and gloom. I want people to think well of me, but can't see how they can. Will return when am less mental. Apols.

So that's why I suggested leaving the topic, so that no one gets upset; non-believers and believers alike. There are enough things to be getting upset about in this game as it is.

That's good news about the diff clinic.

You come back when you're ready.

Headbanger · 31/08/2010 16:50

Can I just aussi say I don't mind one whit being disagreed with, or religious debate - it doesn't upset or offend me at all Score, I promise promise! Someone saying, "God? Pah. Not such much, thanks," is fine. It's loaded language and anger and the implication that I and my much-loved and very devout parents are idiots (I'm not talking about you necessarily here) that makes me a bit ooogly-woooogly. Possibly I should have a thicker skin o'course! Anyway old sausage, you have enough on your plate without also worrying you've caused offence, so kindly have a pantheistic (!) snuggle and praise Venus and Athene that you've had some good news re. the neighbouring PCT. The tunnel has fairylights at the end!

Meanwhile here are some secular yet also hot cross buns with, crucially, no sugar and gluten free flour, offered in the spirit of peace and love

Headbanger · 31/08/2010 16:51

Not SO much that should clearly read Blush

Scorpette · 31/08/2010 16:55

Have not actually proper gone yet Blush

Sadly, I hate hot cross buns and it's not a neighbouring PCT, is just the local FC, but happens to be one of best in country, huzzah. But I muchly h'appreciate you baking for me :)

Right, am going to cry and sulk properly now. Stop interrupting me with all your loveliness, youse lot!

I don't mind at all being disagreed with either. As I said earlier, it's being repeatedly ranted at/about, in a place where I haven't come to have a discussion about that part of my life, that just gets wearing.

So if we can please just all accept that we are all intelligent adults who have reviewed the evidence and made different decisions that would be great thankyouverymuchpliz.
If you need a break Scorps then take one, you shouldn't feel bad about needing a break from all this sometimes; everyone does and I've just read back over the last few days and you've clearly had a rubbish few days with the PT stuff etc. It seems that getting your hands on AC help is getting harder and harder in this country; I seem to know nearly as many people who don't fit criteria these days as that do; it is a scary prospect. One of many scary prospects in this new Con-dem age.

Can I have the hot cross buns if she's not having them?

Casserole · 31/08/2010 17:02

(PCT, not PT)

Ariesgirl · 31/08/2010 17:06

Ooh, I'll have a hot cross bun. Nom nom nom.

Casserole · 31/08/2010 17:07

Butter?

ChoChoSan · 31/08/2010 17:10

Come back here, ExScoriating, I've not finished with you yet

Good news on the IVF clinic nearby - when I was investigating last year before my womb was miraculously resurrected, Create clinic were the only wuns doing natural IVF. I know that when you are skint it still seems like a fortune, but as well as the lack of drucks, it's much cheaper...so when you finally address this long backlog of BESHes, and start pimping your man out, it won't take nearly as long to save up!

Casserole · 31/08/2010 17:25

How's the pissing going today Pencil ?

Truffkin · 31/08/2010 17:50

Well, well, well. I have arrived back in MN land to find this wonderous new fred with two whole days of back to skool chat wot I have missed. Yesterday I was in flat cleaning hell as our old tenant left the place in a right old mess and it took me, GB and my mother 3 1/2 hours to get it nice. There's a nice fat bill heading his way that's fo sho.

Right then, I've returned back late for term due to a very exciting and quite-dangerous-if-you're-not-as-cunning-and-well-practised-in-sleuthing-as-me-and-my-chums summer adventure. I'm glad to report that cook has prepared one of her fabulous feasts for us all to share after lights out - rather! Yes you've guessed it, potted meat sandwiches, homemade pork pie, packets of chocolate and lashing and lashings of ginger beer. What a treat gels.

No droid in our household, although bank holiday shagging a plenty. Have been reading up a bit over the weekend and really do think we might need to stop smoking and cut back drastically on the drinking to see if that makes a difference. It feels so frustrating to not be able to get diffed as easily as some and also have to give up life's little pleasures whilst struggling with that fact. Ho hum, don't want to add to the low mood.

Scorp am excited about your FC find, am keeping everything crossed for a lottery win in your house tomorrow (we won a tenner on Saturday and also £5 in the pub quiz on Sunday evening so am passing on my blatant overflow of luck to you)

Hello everyone else I've not met in the last week or so, am relative newb who arrived during peak holiday season so welcome back and sorry for sneaking in whilst your backs were turned Wink

(I'm trying to avoid the religion stuff on the whole as I'm RC, which is quite possibly the most revolted religion in the history of the world even though our parish priest is quite forward thinking and doesn't wish burning in hell upong those who chose to secks before mezzlement totally understand that some people think it's all a pile of dog poo though, pliz to bring back the BESHbian love fun again anyone?)

Truffkin · 31/08/2010 18:54

Clearly I meant upon rather than upong

saltyair · 31/08/2010 19:00

Even the feckin' weather girl on West News is preggers.

In 2WOOFLing news, I had to leave a shop because I felt sick today. Although shopping does have that effect on me, and once Id had some water I was fine, so I may just have been thirsty.

I hope everyone is ok - I don't want you lot feeling at all bruised or fragile, I ned you to all be able to kick the crap out of me when the Droid arrives...

Casserole · 31/08/2010 19:21

Ooh, sickness you say Saltandpepa ?

Our weather girl is dufferered too. Bless her, she looks like I did when dufferered: ie awful. And she's only on every other day or so, the other days it's a skinny model like one and the comparison is SO unfavourable, I feel bad for her!

Trufaxkin meat paste you say? Is there any fish paste in there too?

saltyair · 31/08/2010 19:25

saltyair · 31/08/2010 20:14
