Welcome to the 2009 MN Christmas Appeal Thankyou Thread

First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

A Very Happy Christmas to you all

I haven't name changed as I dont have much time. I'm not a regular and to be honest I wasn't expecting anything when I nominated myself after such a sh*t year. In fact, I forgot all about it until the parcel arrived yesterday morning. It took a few secs to work out what it was!

Can I just say with all my heart, and with tears running down my face, a humungous THANK YOU to the MNetter who sent me this parcel?

last friday, my beloved gran was rushed to hospital and we dont know how long she has, so my cr*p year got a lot worse. Have spent most of the week in tears. Your gift came at exactly the right time, thank you so much again.

I honestly cant believe all the stuff in that parcel. it must have cost you a lot of money and you dont even know me! WOW.

And Milka is my favourite choc LOL so it wont last long LOL my DHs face lit up when he saw the choc and my DD loves festive friends biscuits.

I'm still in shock, can't believe someone who doesn't know me could be so generous...

wish I knew who you were now. If you lived local I'd jump in my car to give you a big hug in person.

scottishmummyofone · 18/12/2009 14:37

ooops, my DHs face lit up when he saw the ALCOHOL (the choc is mine!)

CherryChristmasEveryone · 18/12/2009 15:37

annh- you have already sent me enough, thank you so so much. you really dont need to send you any more. i have used the argos voucher to buy some little goodies for my 4 dc's, the boys are 10 and 8 and i got them a ds game to share, the girls are 3 and 4 and i have got them some littlest pet shop things (no idea what they are, but the girls will love them) thank you so so much again xxxxx

PheasantPlucker · 18/12/2009 15:51

Oh no, sorry, see I am a crap Mumsnetter, I didn't namechange! Sorry!

But thank you again, I spent today feeling really happy every time I thought about the kindness.

santatoscottishmummyofone · 18/12/2009 19:10

I am so, so glad you liked it, scottishmummyofone! I had great fun choosing the things and trying to decide what you might like - not easy given that I don't know you!

And it would be lovely if you came to give me a hug, but it's a very long journey down here to SW London, so I'll settle for a virtual one.

Have a very, very happy Christmas and I hope that the gift goes some way to cheering you up after what has been a dreadful time.

09201 · 19/12/2009 10:30

I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to REF 09201

I have been rather down about christmas this year as things have happened which means Santa would of been too busy to come to our house this year and although the dc's are too young to understand, I would of known.

The will both love the book, bear and caterpillar and I love the smellies!! Thank you so much also for the wrapping paper and card.

Once again thank you, and a thank you to whoever it was that nominated me.

I am now not dreading christmas day so much.

Scorps · 19/12/2009 12:13
