Welcome to the 2009 MN Christmas Appeal Thankyou Thread

First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

A Very Happy Christmas to you all

Morning.

We've had a bit of a chat about this at MNHQ and we think it would be wise if we stepped in and took over the sorting out of the last remaining Christmas Appeal matches and dispatches.

This is absolutely NOT because we don't think cherrymonster is up to it - thank you, cherrymonster, for kickstarting the whole 'finishing off' process and putting so much energy into this yesterday.

It's more of a confidentiality thing. People gave their personal details to NormaStanleyFletcher on the understanding that, if they were a donor, only Norma would see them or, if they were a receiver, their details would only be sent on to the person/people they were matched to.

We don't think it's right that these details should now be passed on to others - however good everybody's intentions are.

Also, no one but Norma and MNHQ has the final list of nominees. So, with the best will in the world, no one can make sure they've all been matched with a donor but us and Norma.

We are still hoping that Norma will soon respond to our emails to her: obviously, as she has the master list of matches, it would be much, much simpler to tie up the loose ends with her help.

Norma did a great job before Christmas, in the face of really difficult, and unforeseen, personal hurdles, and we hope you'll agree with us that she deserves huge thanks for all her efforts.

So....

.... if you're still awaiting a match, please could you email us at [email protected] and we'll take it from here.

Hello FluffyBunny

We've asked cherrymonster to forward everything she's collected to us.

But, just in case she has too much on her plate to contact us, it would be helpful if you could also let us know what details you've sent her/been given by her.

We're keen to make sure no one is missed out...

HelenMumsnet · 19/01/2010 13:11

Hula - drop us a line with all the details you know and we'll see what we can do.

Morning all!

Thank you to everyone who's mailed us about outstanding Christmas Appeal stuff.

We've sorted most of you out now - although there are a few of you bearing with us very patiently as we check a few details.

The main thing now is to doublecheck that all the loose ends are tidied up and that no one has been missed out by accident.

SO PLEASE CAN EVERYONE WHO CONTACTED CHERRYMONSTER also mail us at [email protected], if you haven't already?

Please mail us even if you're a sender and cherrymonster's already given you a match and you've sent your parcel off.

And even if you're a recipient and have passed on your details and are awaiting/have received a parcel.

The sooner you can do all this, the better. It would be so nice to get this all wrapped up before the month is out.

Oh, and please send any other queries about the Appeal over to us, too - though, hopefully, there shouldn't be much that's outstanding now.

Thanks to all who've purchased, parcelled and posted, both before Christmas and after. As always with the Christmas Appeal, we're in awe of your kindness and generosity.
