First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

Just before Xmas I recieved a big box of goodies including a lovely coat for my daughter and some really nice dresses (she has one on today!) An mp3 player which she is so pleased with and lots of lovely Disney Princess things. Thank you sooooo Much xx

I have just been directed to this - thanks Helen - and somehow managed to miss it entirely I am so glad your DD liked the parcel of things, and that everythign arrived okay. Really glad that the parcel was recieved by the right person - was worried as had missed this completely.

Morning all!

Thank you to everyone who's mailed us about outstanding Christmas Appeal stuff.

We've sorted most of you out now - although there are a few of you bearing with us very patiently as we check a few details.

The main thing now is to doublecheck that all the loose ends are tidied up and that no one has been missed out by accident.

SO PLEASE CAN EVERYONE WHO CONTACTED CHERRYMONSTER also mail us at [email protected], if you haven't already?

Please mail us even if you're a sender and cherrymonster's already given you a match and you've sent your parcel off.

And even if you're a recipient and have passed on your details and are awaiting/have received a parcel.

The sooner you can do all this, the better. It would be so nice to get this all wrapped up before the month is out.

Oh, and please send any other queries about the Appeal over to us, too - though, hopefully, there shouldn't be much that's outstanding now.

Thanks to all who've purchased, parcelled and posted, both before Christmas and after. As always with the Christmas Appeal, we're in awe of your kindness and generosity.

OMG - I have just got up (yes lazy cow - but it was my lie-in and as in a few weeks/months time there'll be no lie-ins for me again for the foreseeable future I'm making the most of them)

Anyhow, sat on my table are the first 3 of 7 packages addressed to mumsnetter of the house. H said the driver told him there were another 4 to come (H reckons he didn't have enogh space in his - small - van for all 7 parcels and other stuff he had to deliver

REF09314 thank you so much for the 3 board (well ok battleships isn't quite a board but ykwim ) games and DVD.

I said earlier in this thread just finding out that I'd been nominated was enough for me as it wasn't that my boys were going to miss out at Christmas - rather that we'd just had rather rubbish end of year so not to worry matching me up. So to get up this morning and find the 3 parcels - with another for to come was a lovely suprise

bump for Santa 09314 so they know that the parcels have arrived safely (well 3 of them - but others are at the local sorting office to come out probably tomorrow)

DS1 and 2's eyes nearly went pop when I showed them what was in the first three parcels

evening bump incase Sant09314 didn't see it at lunchtime/afternoon.

I want to go and try the 3D snakes and ladders now on my own as it looks so cool

OMG - the other 4 parcels came today

Clothes are a too big for DS1 yet - but the jacket looks lovely and warm (kind of tempted to have it myself as it would fit lol) - so shall put them away for now

the Scalectrix/racing/car things DS1 and 2 will go absolutely crazy when they see those after school. I did get a "my first Scalectrix" for DS1 a few years ago but it broke before DS2 really got a chance to play with it.

They are going to be and at them..........and no doubt DS3 will probably want to try and join in with them.

He's happily watching the DVD at the moment having had a strop that I wouldn't let him play with all those wonderful things

I'm so glad you received the parcels (did you get 7?) - just sorry it wasn't in time for Christmas.
I was told you had 3 boys: my DS is a little older than your eldest but the games should be good for your eldest two (sorry about the little one - it's been a while since I had anything to suit that age!)

Actually DS3 did manage to join in with mouse trap yesterday - couldn't manage the "game" but they spent nearly and hour the 3 of them just resetting all the bits from the top of the steps and setting the ball off to trap the mice.

He also managed to join in with the Simpsons skateboard whatsit the other day too (although I now can't hoover until I've found a tyre from one of the cars that he pulled off, I put back on again and it then flew off on a very fast lap of the track )

Ah - I remember doing exactly the same thing with Mousetrap - no patience to play it properly and built it as we went IYKWIM - just set it all up and watch the mice get trapped!

Kim and Aggie would say cover end of hoover with tights / stockings then hoover - the tyres (or long lost earrings) will stay at the top of the pipe!
