Welcome to the 2009 MN Christmas Appeal Thankyou Thread

First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

A Very Happy Christmas to you all

You are most welcome LBB.
I hope that you and DP enjoy it and that the boys have a lot of fun with the box.
There is a little something on the way for them but you pressie turned up first.

Have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year (oh and a happy birthday the first week in January ) xxx

littleboyblue · 16/12/2009 16:58

MySanta Something for the boys as well? That's just too much!! Thank you so much.
My new plant is living on the window ledge above my kitchen sink so I have something pretty to look at whilst I wash up

I've just opened today's post and got your card.
Thank you so much for the gift card. You are too kind.
I was in ELC the other day and saw a few bits that I think the boys will like.
We're quite into dancing and music etc so I think I'll go for some toddler cd's and some musical instruments to add to our collection.
There is a light and sounds drum thing in there that ds2 would love (if ds1 gives him a chance ).
Thanks again, and I will let you know what we decide to get for them when we've been to have a better look. xxx

Hulababy · 17/12/2009 17:27

Trinity - the tree is beautiful

I am very that someone was thinking of me and nominated me. It's been a bugger of year, to be honest, but I think we're turning a corner.
A very generous person has sent us some HMV vouchers which - with ds1's birthday iminent, let alone Chrsitmas - will come in rather handy. I opened it 'cause it looked like a christmas card....
Thank you. I hope you have a lovely christmas with lots of smiles and sparkles.

Thank you so very much.

I have no idea who has nominated me, and I am very grateful, and very humbled, as I am not exactly a known MN regular. So thank you for thinking of me and my 2 dds.

And to the kind and generous sender, you are lovely. The book is gorgeous, the craft activity will be a total hit with dd2 especially, and the HSM bits are inspired!

Thank you. I feel really quite overwhelmed. And very, very touched x

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 18/12/2009 00:25

it's always so lovely

hollyrogerssanta · 18/12/2009 03:15

hollyroger you are so very welcome. I'm just sorry that it was just a very impersonal voucher and I wasn't able to go out and buy presents due to logistical contstraints.
Hope your DS1 has a lovely birthday, you all have a lovely christmas and a happy new year x

hollyrogerssanta · 18/12/2009 03:16

ooh, I've just realised how rude my namechange sounds

littleboybluessanta · 18/12/2009 03:22

LBB glad they turned up ok.
Hope you choose some lovely presents for the boys and if you are buying them musical instruments, maybe some earplugs for yourself (speaking as the mother of a child who yesterday discovered a huge box of musical instruments)
Have a very happy christmas x

hollyroger · 18/12/2009 06:54

lololol - makes a change frm all that namby-pampy kissing under the miseltoe though, eh?

littleboyblue · 18/12/2009 07:54

Thanks santa
We love it, tamborines, bells, clicky-clacky things. Anything to get ds1 away from the telly.
He's just started to try to sing twinkle twinkle little star, is very funny.
I hope you and your family have a very merry christmas and a very happy new year. Thank you so much for what you've done for us this year

annh · 18/12/2009 13:05

OMG in return! I have to admit that was me Cherry. I've just logged on for the first time to this thread so how wierd that yours is the first message I see! I asked to be matched with a family with boys but in the end I didn't receive any specific details so I sent the gift cards. Hope that was OK. However, seriously, I did have some boys stuff ready so please let me have your children's ages and if the stuff is suitable, I will pack it up and send it tomorrow. Or anyone else who knows the ages of your children (Christmas names are a pain sometimes!)please can you pass the on. Enjoy!

this is a lovely thread... making me all warm inside to see such lovely people being kind and generous with each other.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 18/12/2009 13:10

ditto bythepower - it's lovely isn't it

FabIsGettingReadyForXmas · 18/12/2009 13:17

I love this thread too but now worrying my gifts will look tight.

mumoverseas · 18/12/2009 13:44

don't be daft FAB I'm sure every gift will be gratefully received and totally unexpected which will make them even more special.

Awassailinglookingforanswers · 18/12/2009 13:49

don't worry FAB - I knew as soon as I offered my contribution that it would be no where near as big as others. But I know that it'll be appreciated by whoever gets it .

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/12/2009 13:55

hi - my parcel was 09146 -lovely,lovely parcel from an incredibly generous donor -many thanks - the only problem is that it was meant for another MNetter but have been in touch with NormaStanleyFletcher about passing it on to someone with little boys (mine is big !) Am overwhelmed to be considered anyway, which is present enough.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 18/12/2009 13:56

do you not have little boys aged 3 & 4 Mary Ann??
