Welcome to the 2009 MN Christmas Appeal Thankyou Thread

First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

There's just ds(10) and me. I didn't recieve anything either and have not asked/sorted it out. From another thread I know that Boden donated vouchers to the appeal and people have still yet to send or recieve. It is a tough job, I think more then one person should have done this appeal though.

The person that I sent something to was nominated at least 3 times (once by me) and did not receive anything. So I did it myself.

Yes, I agree that it was a huge job and it could have perhaps had more than one person do it although I think Norma did get some help from MMNHQ.

That was a really lovely thing for you to have done fairy. IIRC, 2 people did the appeal last year. It does sound like a logistical PITA though.

I cant list everything I have on here, but, norma was given the list.

I'm begining to feel the whole spirit of the appeal has gone now. It's almost Easter

I'm fairly sure she had an assistant. I may be wrong though. I wasn't here the year before, I stumbled across this site in Feb, was the lolita childrens furniture 'debate' in a newspaper that brought be here, I was on an evil site before this, full of huns I've not been back there since!!

Magic my dd2 loves dogs if it's homeless hopefully Norma will come back with more matches ? Or mail MNHQ they were helping her ?
I think maybe mnet has just got too big now , i think it was ok for LL but was very hard for SG last year and she tried to talk Norma out of it this year.

I got one match before christmas too an got a thank you message on here so I know it arrived before christmas as well , but, never received a match for the big batch of stuff I ahd to give out.

ILS - thats true I do recall Norma saying she was waiting for addresses a while back.

Just wish we knew whether it was finished or whether it was still in the process IYSWIM

I emailed MNHQ about an hour ago, Helen's replied and has said they are looking into it.
