Welcome to the 2009 MN Christmas Appeal Thankyou Thread

First of all thank you very much to my good friend NormaStanlelFletcher for organising the whole thing

Each mumsnetter that receives a parcel will see a number printed on it.

When adding to this thread could you all please mention the number so that the sender knows for definite it was their parcel.

Thank to MNHQ for helping norma with this mammoth task.

Can someone confirm if they received my gift? 09555?

I was matched Dec 22nd and posted it Dec 23rd. It wasn't as much as I usually do but my Mum was diagnosed with cancer so my head was all over the place but it would still be nice to just know it arrived.

Fluffy - about 1000 miles would you believe.

The sack is too heavy to post (would cost a bomb) so will probably hand deliver so add the mileage to that and god knows what it would end up at . Maybe it should have it's own passport

You should make one for it magic, to show all the lovely places it has been on it's travels.

Nothing yet. Bit disapointed, but, only fair to acknowledge(sp) the hard work Norma put into it all. Yes this years appeal didn't run as smoothly as previous years, BUT, she still kept going whatever was thrown at her.

Maybe i'll send a map of the U.K marking it's travels in the sack as well.

You should send pictures to the recipient before you send the sack, kind of a life story, I bet you will miss the sack once it's alloacted a home.

It must be a logistical nightmare. She deserves a brandy or three.

09146is a total star and sent me not just one beautiful vase of flowers but two - one before Christmas and one for New Year - am so amazed at her kindness and feel totally undeserving. Thank you so much !!

I buy bits and bobs throughout the year for pressies for people anyway so....

I am working through all the email queries and other stuffm and will try to get back to you all over the nezt 48 hours.

Doesn't look like i am going to work tomorrow, so as long as the power holds up, I should be able to do some catch up with you all..

I just want to say a huge thank you to my Secret Santa who sent me a lovely box of Cowshed goodies! The postie battled through the snow this morning.

I am not sure what I have done to deserve these goodies, but I am very grateful.

Mine got there on Christmas Eve but no post to say if it was okay.

I was so suprised and happy to receive not 1 but 2 parcels, numbers 09140 and 09316.

Thanks to Andi for the first one, Isaac the Newt is lovely - may have to re-name him because my sister's 3 year old is called Isaac, lol!!!!

Thank you to the 'Secret Santa' that sent the 2nd parcel. We have fallen in love with the 'weebits' items. More may have to be brought when the baby grows out of them!!!

Also scottishmummyofone I sent the monsoon voucher. Sorry I thought it was a bit dull but I knew mums of girls can always manage to find something to suit there. So glad about your dd's birthday coming up - that is the perfect chance as you said.

There was no ref number or not that I saw anyway. It was a jewllery set and some earrings - very lovely!

Noted down the two numbers of the 2 parcels I recieved but have misplaced them - preg. brain!

The first was a 'build your own train', a fire engine puzzle and a Next Pink soap set for me.

The second was a box which arrived between Xmas and New Year containing some Lynx stuff for DH, a Doc Who robot, a 'Popp n Giggles' Popple (brought back some happy memories!), a puppy which teaches all the body parts, some Ben 10 colouring sets, some mini lego sets (shark & whale) and Shrek 2 DVD with a cute baby Shrek doll.

If I have forgotten to mention anything in either parcel I am sorry - as I said about the ref. nos, I can barely remember what I did yesterday!

The boys loved everything in both parcels and they really helped us out.
