Where are all the Autumn lovers?

Please cheer me up with all the wonderful things to look forward to in Autumn.
I have had enough of heatwave after heatwave. Especially as a dog owner. Ive just stuck on Gilmore Girls as a means of escape!

So please join me here if you can't wait for Autumn and share any of your Autumn joys!

Just found this! I actually love all seasons (except for winter after the second week of Jan). After such a long, hot (sometimes a bit too hot) summer, I'm ready for Autumn! Had a beautiful walk through a local park this week where the leaves were fluttering down from the trees. The morning sun feels different and there's a bite first thing.

I'm looking forward to:
Spectacular colours
That low, hazy autumn sun and walks along Victoria Embankment
Jumpers and jeans
Pumpkin spice everything
Hot chocolate (with a dash of something stronger sometimes)
Evenings with my candles lit and the lamps on
My DD getting excited for Halloween
Horror films

I love cosy...sorry!

Haha. Thanks. It's 8 degrees here so, it's actually cold. Heating back on this morning. I'm starting to stock up the log basket now too as that will be going on shortly. We haven't had the heatwaves here that some of the UK has had, so it probably all sounds crazy.

No doubt I'll see the usual thread on MN in late September from folk agreeing that "heating doesn't go on here until at least the end of October" Aye, they would think a bit differently if they were disabled and living on a chilly and very windy Northern coastline.

Anyway, all is definitely starting to feel cosy now, although it's much harder to get out of bed!

Just faffing about here with the start of a seasonal wreath. It's a little bit early (and I already have a large autumn wreath that goes on my front door on 1st Sept) but I fancied making a 'foraged' one since I am surrounded here by Autumn's early bounty.

Does anyone else here follow the Poncetastic thread over the leadup to Christmas? I don't know if you are all just autumn weather lovers, or crafters and seasonal makers too. I was thinking of starting this year's thread.

I’ve got a mental picture of a random bunch of women roaming the likes of Next, Dunelm, The Range, Tesco ( that was me, prising the lids off the Yankee Candle jars 🙂) Aldi, Asda etc sniffing deeply and commenting on wether the scent was “Autumnal” enough!
By the way, I though the Yankee ones in Tesco were horrible🤢

Bought my first Christmas present 😁 My mum is an autumn lover too, also born in November 🍂 She is obsessed with Owls and I noticed the other day she could do with a new purse. So bought her this gorgeous one as part of her Xmas presents. I will be out this week collecting some new autumn home range. Last week off before going back to work so it has to be done. I will be getting my little knitted pumpkins out as well 😁🎃🎃 Cant wait to turn my house into full on autumn. I'm back to wearing cosy socks on the night now the temp is dropping. Love it 🧡🧡

Yes, I can't believe it's September next week! I think that's why I was thinking about Poncetastic. It was always the 24th Sept, but last year someone started it earlier.

Finally got time to catch up on this thread, thanks for all the blackberry tips, much appreciated! It's definitely getting a little chillier through night here, I'm going to keep my summer duvet on for now as I much prefer to be cool in bed and using my pug as a little heater 🥰

I'm not usually a fan of Fabulosa products as I prefer more natural alternatives but the Honey Pumpkin spray smells so good! The kitchen smelled amazing yesterday but the warm sun shining through dampened the vibe a little! 😁

I was at... I think it was Buttermere... A few days ago. The landscape isn't looking too Autumnal yet, but I did see these brown cows relaxing by the lake which was quite nice to see!

I made apple and blackberry crumble (from the garden and foraged), which went down very well indeed.

My pumpkin cushion has been 'borrowed' by little DS. Found him asleep, wrapped around it!

Hello fellow Autumners!

I think this weekend might be time for the first roast dinner of the season. I’ve decided I want to make proper stuffing for Christmas this year so need plenty of opportunities to play around with different recipes. Knowing me I’ll try two and then decide it’s not worth it and go back to Paxo, but it’s good to try!

It was feeling very autumnal here yesterday so I made/put out a few autumn bits. Today is back to sunshine and 26° 🙄

It's been feeling warm and clammy again today which I didn't appreciate 😆 But temp is starting to drop again now thank the lord. Think I'll light some candles tonight 😊

Im looking forward to the 1st September to out our my autumn Blankets and pillows and change the children's duvet covers!

It's barely 9pm... It's dark-dark outside... The lamppost outside my window was shining in my bedroom, I thought it was the sun setting! It's raining on/off... Not too hot or cold... FINALLY! I still don't fully trust another heatwave to sneak up on us though... I'm going to try to wait until mid September to bring out the Autumn decor... Just incase...

Haha! Yes, I turned our normal sized fan off yesterday, as I wasn’t feeling well… Oooh! the silence!😱 wow! The tv volume went down straight away.

Im not putting the fan away yet, as like a PP, I don’t trust the damn weather to not start being silly-hot again. But I’m so enjoying the cooler weather, and cuddling the Ddog for warmth in bed!
