Please cheer me up with all the wonderful things to look forward to in Autumn.
I have had enough of heatwave after heatwave. Especially as a dog owner. Ive just stuck on Gilmore Girls as a means of escape!

Honestly, heated gloves and heated socks! I’m in the habit of going for an early morning walk every day, but autumn and winter can be absolutely freezing. These have made such a difference and make me much more willing to get outside when it’s cold. They keep you so warm and genuinely make those chilly days a lot more enjoyable. I’ve even bought some for my family now. Would definitely recommend them!

The bloody sun’s come out here, the humidity is rising and I’m pretty sure I have a chest infection so off to the GP shortly.

So back up North after spending the weekend down London. Wowzers was soo hot. Felt like Spain. So glad to be back home and it's only 19 degrees today 😊 It started to get dark here last night around 8:15pm...love, love, love 😁🌙🎃🧙‍♀️

We've had rain on and off since last night here in Cumbria. I'm not going to jinx it by mentioning how mildly annoying it is not getting my laundry all washed and dried by dinner time as I've became accustomed to...
Still warm though. I think I saw thunder and lightning due on Wednesday, oooh... I do hope so!

A tad cooler here in SE London today. So much so that I nipped out to do a few errands but came back sweating! I think I made the mistake of thinking that because it wasn’t 30-odd degrees it had all gone away 😵‍💫 I check my weather app every day which gives the time of sunset and by my (very limited) calculations it’ll be dark here by 8pm in the next couple of weeks. The bliss. The joy. Hang in there folks. The autumn candles will be making an appearance soon 🍁🍂

I’m not usually a huge autumn lover but with this weather I’m craving it

I was in a national trust gift shop today, eyeing up the throws and candles. I resisted the throws but did invest in an orange and cedarwood candle. To go with the very many autumnal candles already in the candle drawer....🤣

We are very limited with candles as we have a truly idiotic German Shepherd pup with a big bushy tail … you can guess the rest!

Today was the first day I’ve worn long trousers all day and not had the fan going in the living room. It’s been very dark all day, with showers, but heavier rain forecast from tomorrow.

I’ve had long pyjama bottoms on for the last couple of nights and it’s been glorious. We’ve also had rain all day and it’s felt sooo Autumnal!

Hoping the rain can make its way over soon to those of you who so desperately need it!!

I would LOVE a dog. Unfortunately DH is not a dog lover. Candle drawer is not huge, but does contain a Jo Malone candle I won in a raffle and the most gorgeous orange, nutmeg and cinnamon candle by pharmacy pot which I make DH buy for me every Christmas.

I must make more effort with the mantelpiece candles, it’s the only place that’s high enough to keep the furry fool from setting herself ( and us ) on fire.
We had a dopey GSD when I was little, who frequently got her tail in the gas fire and never noticed!
The breed is not always as smart as they are portrayed😁
I really want the Range lovely fat pumpkin-shaped candles, but I’ve nowhere safe for them.

@QuokkaCutie did you know about these candle warmer lamps? I've got one, you don't need to light the candle as the heat gently melts them and they're adjustable so can lower/raise them depending on the size of the candle. I suppose you'd need to secure the lamp if it's near dog wag vicinity but atleast there won't be any alsation arson worries 🐕🕯️ I'm waiting for the dark early evenings to finally use mine to make the most of the warm light glow.

It's a bit drizzly here in Surrey this morning. Lovely cool wind blowing and the sky is overcast. This time last week it was 37°.

I've decided to bring all my autumn rituals forward as a reward for making it through this summer! My beautiful Balmoral candle arrived yesterday, and I've watched my favourite autumn TV episodes. I'm now binging Mr Selfridge. I also finished the jigsaw I hadn't touched for weeks because it's been too hot to sit and do it.

Praying for some proper rain. We've hit 60 days without 'proper' rain here now.

I have so many candles I could a run a small shop 😆 Really feel like watching something Halloweeny today for some reason.

I think it's safe to say I have a candle obsession. I make beeswax candles and sell them at craft fairs, but have a 'candle warrobe' too. Three shelves of candles in my wardrobe, plus more all around the house. There are 17 alone on my dressing table! Well over 100 in total.

Well, it's nice to have hobbies, eh?
