I have two - 14 and 18

Apart from socks and smellies, unusual Korean noodles and sweets have gone down well in previous years, but I am really running out of ideas!

Same & also struggling. Mine loves football but everything team-related seems to cost a small fortune.

PiIsAReallyLongNumber · 17/11/2024 10:35

I'm also struggling this year. So far I have a boot scraper for football boots and a mini thermal printer.
I'll top it up with sweets and chocolate but really can't think of anything else.

LadySad · 17/11/2024 10:35

Mine weirdly loved Bob the Builder blind bags a few years ago, they laughed their heads off arguing about who had the better figurine.

PureBoggin · 17/11/2024 10:37

I just bought a mini Henry Hoover for his PC and desk... But it's actually a bit big to go in his stocking 😩. In the past :

Phone battery pack
Foldable charger
Starbucks and Greggs gift cards
Small aftershave
Face wash and stars for spots
Toxic Waste sweets
Ear buds
Tony's chocolonely bar

levantine · 17/11/2024 10:48

Actually I have just remembered that that keyboard cleaning putty has gone down well before

I'll probably get him toxic wastes, a puzzle thing to keep him busy, a T-shirt, Kinder Bueno (gets this every year) a lush bubble bar, an orange, a mocktail can. A cricket ball, a book of sudoku some pens, a hair product, fun socks.

Phillipa12 · 17/11/2024 10:55

I've got my 16 year old a cactus ornament (he managed to kill a cactus!), origami gift set, chocolate, slippers and a multi tool.

Taranta · 17/11/2024 11:01

Joining for ideas. I did go into Suck UK shop yesterday and made a mental note to go on to their website at some point as they had a tonne of stocking filler options.

Purplepeoniesdroppingpetals · 17/11/2024 11:10

Decent undershorts, decent sports socks, a costa card?

Chipshopninja · 17/11/2024 11:33

European plug adapter, Skiing gloves, Goggles and sunglasses (hes going on holiday in January which luckily we don't have to pay for!)

I just bought one teenage grandson a six-packet of polos - he's always into my DH's when he sees them. And another one a six-pack 9f his fave choc bar, Twirls.

In the past, 'Bigfoot Undisputed Hide and Seek Champion" hiking socks.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 17/11/2024 11:38

FASDE1517 · 17/11/2024 11:41

Mine are a bit younger but think they're teenagers.
Prime, chocolate & sweets, a book, bath bomb. Laceez and shin pads.

CustardCreams2 · 17/11/2024 11:44

Pot noodles. Indomie mi goreng instant noodles are a hit here. Chocolate coins. Socks.

WhispersOfWickedness · 17/11/2024 11:52

Thanks all, I have a nearly 15 year old computer nerd who isn't really interested in food, clothes, smellies, sports, etc etc 😭

HildaHosmede · 17/11/2024 11:56

I picked up Make Your Own Sushi kits yesterday in Lidl - £4 each. All of mine are having one as they all love sushi - 16, 14 and 7. We'll get the extra bits needed after Xmas and they can all have a crack at it one afternoon for lunch.

Same here. Are you me? 😂DS is 15 in Feb, likes chocolate and gaming. I'm struggling massively with ideas.

My computer nerd loved:

Personalised flash drive
Roblox gift card
Keyboard cleaning putty

Also who is he following or watching online or does he listen to music while online. Some content creators etc bring out merch at this time of year.

BionicEar · 17/11/2024 12:12

Have got the following for my DS14. All of this costed under £12 as I buy throughout the year when see reduced or on offer eg the light sabres were cheaper to buy as a set than seperately.

Novelty shaped Highlighters (useful for school)
Pen with many colours. (Useful for school)
Fidget toy
Blind bag of Lego mini figure
Socks
Christmas chocolate (I split a bag of chocolate coins or figures between the family)
Book (one I picked up cheap in charity shop)
Glow stick light sabre (DH and sibling also have one each so they can reenact Star Wars fight in garden!)
Stress relief squeezy toy
Novelty keyring

Also same, they are so difficult to buy for when they're like this!

WhispersOfWickedness · 17/11/2024 12:35

@ZestFest
I might be 😂 My DS's birthday is early December, so we have that to come first!!
He's getting an expensive piece of hardware for his laptop for his birthday and is aware this means nothing wrapped which he is fine with, but he has a sibling so Christmas does need to be some wrapped presents too, as well as a stocking...

WhispersOfWickedness · 17/11/2024 12:36

@PureBoggin
Thank you! Already got the putty on the list off the back of this thread 🤣
He also is not at all into music, just to be extra helpful 🙄🫣😆

WhispersOfWickedness · 17/11/2024 12:38

@Arrwedancers
He's the polar opposite to my daughter, who has a hobby lending itself to lots of tat, plus a good interest in food, music, clothes... she is SO easy!

Muchtoomuchtodo · 17/11/2024 12:40

How big are some of their stockings?!

Our literally fit a few small things in.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 17/11/2024 12:47

18 is getting sweets, pop tarts, magic cards, a small Lego set ( all dc always had one of the little £10 ish Lego sets. Tradition nobody wants to let go of) and one of the posable wooden hands from IKEA. Largely in an effort to get him to store his glasses not on the floor at night.

Not quite teen 12.5 is getting chocolate (dark chocolate toblerone very specifically asked for. I may have pinched some of his last one and still be in trouble) pop tarts, hamma beads, spherical magnets and of course Lego.
