White Fox refund

I could cry.

Dd asked for a WF hoody. I thought I'd check the prices for2 for both dds.

I put two into my basket to check the price without the discount (no idea why) and I stupidly pressed shop pay to check forgetting / not realising I didn't need to add my card details. I assumed once I got to that bit I would just not put them in.

I've paid for two at £50 each. If I genuinely meant to purchase them I would have used the discount.

They won't refund as they said I agreed to the terms and conditions and I can't afford to loose £100 and I don't want store credit!!!

My fault entirely but I've cancelled items before with retailers before they have dispatched.

I ordered Friday and emailed immediately and it's not been processed yet so I don't know why they can't refund.

I'm an absolute nob head. That's more than I have left for food all week!!!

Oh no how can I prove they aren't fake

If you're selling on ebay? Put a screenshot of your order with price with address etc blacked out. WF will send it in a WF bag too, fakes won't have those. If selling locally you can show the screenshot to your buyer.

ConsuelaHammock · 10/12/2023 18:13

No advice about the hoodies and hope you can sell them BUT you need to delete your bank details off your phone so this can never happen again. Then sit your girls down and talk to them about money. You can’t afford the things they want, you should not be worrying about spending £100 on 2 overpriced branded jumpers from tiktok !!! It’s beyond ridiculous!
Your girls obviously don’t believe in Santa and know presents are from you so you need to sit down with them and work out a budget moving forward. They get a budget of £??? for Xmas and £?? for birthdays. If you are getting into debt to buy ‘stuff’ they will keep asking for expensive stuff. Be honest with them!
My daughter has suggested getting a ps5. I have enough money to buy it but she already has an Xbox so I said no. She can save up for it if she wants it so badly!
Learn to say no to your children or the teenage years will be more difficult than they need to be.

ConsuelaHammock · 10/12/2023 18:17

And sell on Facebook marketplace. It’s free and buyers will collect so you’re not paying fees. Add pics of the jumpers and the receipts to your advertisement.

ConsuelaHammock · 10/12/2023 18:18

And delete bank details off your phone right now! So much drama over a couple of jumpers!?

I think your other advice is sound, but that's a bit harsh re "so much drama over jumpers!"
Other people jumped on the post to share & talk about their WF experiences & the OP is entitled to talk about whatever she wants 🙈

BurntOrangeAutumn · 10/12/2023 18:51

@blackfluffycat the WF jumpers will come in a black fabric WF drawstring bag - fakes won't have this.

Butterflyfluff · 10/12/2023 19:06

@ConsuelaHammock , you said this in your post before - why did you need to repeat it?

Would you speak to someone in real life like this?

Butterflyfluff · 10/12/2023 19:07

Regarding the fake thing - there is nothing you can do to categorically prove they are real.

Even invoices, packaging etc get disputed as unscrupulous buyers can claim you kept the real ones and sold fakes.

ConsuelaHammock · 10/12/2023 19:49

I would if they had been going on about it for a month and definitely if I knew they were spending money they couldn’t afford on crap from TikTok.

TheGirlWhoLived · 10/12/2023 20:53

@ConsuelaHammock you are named after the more-than-feckless Phoebe… I don’t think you embody her spirit

wite · 10/12/2023 21:10

Don't sell them on vinted or eBay

You'll struggle to prove they're real even with an order screenshot etc and the buyer can keep the item and your money.

Facebook market place all day long.

I've only gone on about it a month because I've tried to get my money back all of this time.

I didn't intend to buy that jumpers. They wouldn't expect me to spend £50 on one as they are 11 and 13. If they were 15/16 I would as I want them wearing what their friends have. I don't think they know anyone with one though.

Strange to come into a thread about a "tik tok trend" to moan about us buying them. You must not have girls this age.

I’m surprised you could get through the checkout so easily by just pressing pay. If I pay using my pre stored card (eg Tesco) i still need to add the 3 digits at the back of the card. If I use Apple Pay I need to double click the side button. Am thinking this is more a case of buyers remorse, which really, the company has no obligation to cancel your order for

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 11/12/2023 01:41

No Heisenberg, shop pay is different, it really is one click and bang it's done. I think it's dangerous, I've been caught out using the wrong card before as I'd loaded the PTA card onto it for an event order, then next time it was the payment method for something it just went through on that same card without giving me options. Very embarrassing!!

Thank you.

It's not happened on any other website and I've used lots recently for Christmas. When I sign into WF it automatically signs me into shop pay every time. A verify code comes up. I don't even click it but it must enter automatically.

@HeisenbergsPorkPieHat
I know how Apple Pay and paying online works.

I don't think the sweatshirts come either a bag do they! Just the hoodies?

OP posts:
Whinge · 11/12/2023 07:37

@blackfluffycat You won't be able to prove they're real, Ebay will almost certainly side with the buyer who will get a refund and your item/s.

Which is why I, and many others, have advised you to sell on FB marketplace, Vinted or Gumtree for cash on collection.

blackfluffycat · 11/12/2023 07:45

I'm autistic I hate people coming to the house

HeisenbergsPorkPieHat · 11/12/2023 08:27

Than maybe you shouldn’t be using shop pay if you don’t understand the basics of it.

Alwaysanotherwine · 11/12/2023 08:32

wow so many people saying cakes won’t have bag!!

as a mum of two teens who regularly ask for designer stuff etc (so have experience of being caught out), i can assure you that selling fake goods with real bag and receipts is the way all fake goods are sold! they buy real but sell the fake! it’s literally how they do it

BurntOrangeAutumn · 11/12/2023 09:11

blackfluffycat · 11/12/2023 07:30

I'm not sure - every order I made with them I got sent the goods in the outer plastic WF mailing bag & inside was a fabric black drawstring WF bag. My last order (that I got) was no hoodies, joggers or sweaters, but a random selection of things like a couple of t-shirts, velvet pants, cargo pants & I still got the fabric bag.
I think most people looking to buy Xmas gifts like this last minute would be desperate mums trying to fulfil their kids wishes, not everyone is scammers ...
If you did sell on marketplace make sure & meet in a public place not your house.
BTW I did see a sales post with fake WF hoodies going up recently for a market traders page. They looked way different than the real thing. Let me go see can I find you a photo to show you.

BurntOrangeAutumn · 11/12/2023 09:21

@blackfluffycat these are the fakes I saw go up. Seem to only be fakes of the hoodies not jerseys. They look perfect from the back but you can see from the front they differ from the real thing. The real WF hoodies don't have the strings at the front.
Also I've looked through comments on a group with this seller & these fake hoodies come up very small you have to size up a lot. The real WF is very oversized.
