When is your tree going up?

I'm trying to decide between Sunday 26th and Saturday 2nd....

We do ours first Sunday of Dec. So will be the 3rd

We get a fresh one so probably about the 15th.

Usually the first weekend in Dec, but my DH is at work so might do it on 30th as we are both off work.

We have a lot of Xmas decorations so takes a while.

Fresh one. Christmas tree farm doesn’t open until about 8th usually. So 9th or 16th this year.

Probably 16th December.

Possibly the 3rd. We usually get a real but potted one so it doesn't drop like a cut tree. It'll be down and gone by New Year though, I like to start the New Year with a clean slate, free of pine needles and glitter.

Probably roundabout the 10th as we're away and will need to get over jetlag before we do it

Quite late this year, I'm in NY the first weekend of December (boohoo for me ) we are busy the following weekend, but the weekend of the 16th feels too late, so I think we will get it up the weekend of the 9th but with a little less ceremony in order to get it done quickly around other things!

The 22nd when we break up for Christmas. One of my neighbours put their tree up two weeks ago!

16th December or thereabouts

I'm thinking the 8th December as we have family coming over for dinner on the 9th so would be nice to have it up.

Probably the 15th December. We have friends coming for lunch on the 16th so I want the house to look Christmassy by then.

I don't like putting it up too early because it will be past its best before Christmas and I want it to last until 6 January.

Ours will most likely go up on the 19th of November. I love having the tree up early and enjoy every second the decorations are out.

We are going to the Christmas tree farm on the 16th. We always go with our friends and then book in to have dinner on the way back before coming back to ours for drinks. My dc decorate our tree. It’s the best day!

Earliest I ever put it up is the second Sunday of Advent, which this year is 10th December and it tends to stay up until Epiphany on the 6th January.

Usually around the 10th but I'm thinking of bringing it forward this year to the 1st weekend. We have a lot of autumn decor up and I'm over it already 🫣.

We always have a real tree but have put it up late November before and it always lasts fine as long as you put water in the stand. Although ours always comes down early in the new year.

I do love having the tree up, we normally do it weekend before the 1st, that just seems very early this year with the 1st being a Friday!

It's been such a shit year for basically everyone I know, I got excited when I saw Christmas lights on at a house yesterday. It might be Halloween decorations, but Im thinking of the 26th at the latest now.

Like a PP I start the NY with a clean slate so mine (potted) is up from around 6th - 31st.

I know that the Christmas period is not over until 12th night and closing down Christmas on 31/12 seems heathen and not in the spirit, but for me, it ends 31/12 to coincide with a couple of weeks of teetotalism and veganism in early January, with lots of long walks and no snacking, in order to lose a few pounds In weight. I’ve been medically obese due to weight creep, so this is an important ritual for me, to keep on top of my health.

Up 16th December

Weekend before Christmas usually but it feels a bit late to put it up on 23rd Dec so will probably be 16th Dec. Then it'll be up 3 weeks.

Can't believe some people have Christmas decs up already, I'm loving theHalloween decs our neighbours have at the moment.

First weekend of double figures (Dec obviously). 😉

16th December

Dec 1st. I have a new 'luxury' tree this year, I'd put it up today if I could! But I'll wait until Dec 1st as usual. I usually take it down the day after boxing day to start the new year with a clean house but I'll see how it goes.
