When is your tree going up?

I'm trying to decide between Sunday 26th and Saturday 2nd....

Either 11/12th or 18/19th Nov!

Beginning to realise I started this thread to convince myself that November 26th isn't too early

Probably end Nov. Only because I've brought 2 new trees and all new decs so excited to put up

My friends start going up 1st nov when Halloween cones down but hers takes over a week to do

The first weekend of December. I'm allergic to real trees, so have an artificial one. I keep it up about 5 weeks 😁

Mines will go up on the 9th or 10th December as we are away the first week. Mines normally comes down before NYE as I like the house to be fresh for the new year

2 weeks before Christmas, and then down again before NYE.

Bah humbug some would say.

I say keeping the dog off "mine baubles" for an extended period of time does not fill me with Christmas cheer.

Because the presents were all in their packaging (Ordered online.) and the tree goes in recess so I took off all the excess packaging, put up the tree and wrapped the presents and slotted them round the tree.

I'll put mine up 1st December when the kids are in school. Works out well this year as I don't work Fridays and will be all Christmassy for the weekend.

Fresh spruce arrives 15th Dec so it’ll be decorated on 16th.

I'm going for late nov this year. We have a lot of decorations and couple of trees so I'll do majority in my day off while kids are at work and let them help me decorate the main tree after school

We will go and choose one on the 16th.

Other decorations go up 2 weeks before this.

No. Still not obligatory.

DCs will be wanting to put it up as soon as the Halloween decorations are down, but will try and hold off until at least the middle of November

Those people that go early - don’t you get utterly sick of the tree by the actual festive period?

We have real trees and greenery so they’d be beyond tragic by Christmas if we go too early. Plus, I just don’t feel festive before mid December.

First Saturday in December

Early December. Down early January.

First weekend in December. Probably Saturday 2nd as I want it up for the first Sunday in advent. I love Christmas.

It'll also be my daughter's 2nd birthday/anniversary on the 3rd, so I'd like it done before that so we can put her and my DS2s memorial baubles on the tree and light some candles for them in the evening rather than being surrounded by bits of packing paper and boxes

I put mine up the night of the 30th so when the kids get up on the 1st it’s done for them. The 2 smallest both have autism and GDD so it’s all about associations - so we matched it to the first day of opening advent calendars.
my ds(6) absolutely loves anything christmas. He’s non verbal but uses his communication cards to ask for the tree and presents all year round 😅

I will begin putting out decorations on 1st December. Probably the wee tree in 2nd and big tree on 3rd. I will do the real tree on 16th.
