10yo has spent ages playing with a wooden bat with a bouncy ball attached to it by elastic. I paid £1 for it from b&m as an impulse purchase for his stocking.

Sevensilverrings · 25/12/2021 18:40

17yr old DS, a meteorite necklace was the surprise hit, and a huzzle puzzle (which I’ve tried to steal all day)!
14yr old DS, theatre tickets and snowskate, predictably, but also a yo-yo.
9yr old DS, a hat with a torch in it and a spy pen have won over his main gifts
6yr old DD, a fluffy husky dog and a spinning top. And the nail clippers she got out of the cracker.
Really good relaxed day with no major issues…looking forward to an evening with DH and older boys now…lovely to have the time all together all day, but I’m knackered!

A spider robot.

@Glittergoblin

A £1 Primark slinky 🙂
DS(12) - ASD/SLD - plenty of new toys, but the new i.e. untangled slinky has been the biggest hit for today! He'll slowly start playing with the new toys over the coming weeks.
Glittergoblin · 25/12/2021 18:51

My DD (8-also ASD) is exactly the same, gets overwhelmed by the bigger presents but they will all be used/played with in time.

Easel and bath pens. She made a mess then happily hopped in the bath!

Treaclepie19 · 25/12/2021 19:44

My 6 and 1 year old have spent the afternoon fighting over my 1 year olds toy microphones 😅

HowBad · 25/12/2021 19:48

DD who is one got a little Dutch baby Rosa doll. She loves her so much it makes me melt. Keeps giving her the dummy and cuddling her.

DS1(13) - Lego space shuttle. One of those collectors' items. I wanted to build it myself!

DS2(9) - a horseshoe magnet🤣 It's been clanked rather alarmingly onto every metal surface in the house!

Rebelmcstreettuff · 25/12/2021 20:12

18 year old loves his oodie...says it's so softSmile

Mumoblue · 25/12/2021 20:13

Probably his bus. He’s only 23 months old so he’s been bouncing between various presents (a little bewildered as he doesn’t really get it yet) - but the bus I got him and the toolbox my sister got him are the favourites so far.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 25/12/2021 20:13

Dd2 smART sketcher, santa dress & Teddy Fenton from lapland UK who even sat with us for Christmas Dinner.
Dd1 - Happy Puzzle Genius Square

ReginaFilange001 · 25/12/2021 20:16

DD5 has spent the day building and making gravitrax sets. Was bought on a whim - she loves it.

Natsku · 25/12/2021 20:18

My 3 year old's favourite was either the Super Mario Lego or Super Mario Odyssey, both been played with a lot. My 10 year old's fave were her clothes but you can't exactly play with clothes, been playing the family present of Skyward Sword and ringfit adventure a lot though.

RandomMess · 25/12/2021 20:23

Youngest DD16 pressure washer that was partly a joke gift 🤣

skkyelark · 25/12/2021 21:12

DD2 has been happily dipping in and out of different things, so hard to pick a favourite, but we've not had a chance of getting her into a normal jumper since she unwrapped the star-patterned dressing gown (with pockets! She may be only 2, but she understands the importance of decent pockets) and she's gone to sleep clutching the cows from her farm set.

Jericha · 25/12/2021 21:13

The new bike has been largely ignored. Second hand woody doll from toy story I bought last minute on eBay has made him so so happy.

Kayjay2018 · 25/12/2021 21:16

My 18 month old loved the £2.50 penguin light spinny toy from the card factory. A last minute Santa gift

Bramble88 · 25/12/2021 21:17
