Poached eggs and bacon on crumpets. Bucks Fizz.

mrsawhite · 13/12/2021 10:16

Seen a yummy looking Bloody Mary crumpets thing on Jamie Oliver the other day. We're going to have that

LucyBrown88 · 13/12/2021 10:16

We have reindeer shaped crumpets (they sell them in Asda). It is just something simple and quick so I can focus on the main dinner. Plus it doesn't fill everyone up too much for the main event later on!

AdaColeman · 13/12/2021 10:25

This year it's Bloody Mary, and toast with sour cream and keta caviar.

hivemindneeded · 13/12/2021 10:31

I do a help yourself brunch:

Bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs
Bircher muesli with blueberries and raspberries
Mini croissants, pain au chocolat and pain au raisin
Mimosas
Lots of strong coffee and frothy milk
Hot chocolate if anyone prefers
Pop tarts and mini cereal selection boxes on the side in case adult DC have a regression moment (has been known Grin )

Frozen pasties from M&S, hot chocolate, melon and strawberries.

Christmas is the only day I refuse to fuss over food. I get everything prepped by M&S and spend as much time with the kids and their new toys as possible

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 13/12/2021 10:36

Frozen pastries* No steak bakes haha

Starsnores · 13/12/2021 10:40

We normally have coco pops or croissants.

Wallabyone · 13/12/2021 10:40

We usually have grilled streaky bacon with American pancakes, blueberries and syrup.

Inextremis · 13/12/2021 11:10

Smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, soda bread, lots of coffee :)

jay55 · 13/12/2021 11:12

Toast and pate, Bucks Fizz, chocolate.

witsendeverytime · 13/12/2021 11:28

French toast with bacon and maple syrup for me and my daughter. My son will probably stick with his wallpaper paste oatmeal made with soya milk, egg whites and peanut butter 🤢.

Mojoj · 13/12/2021 11:30

Roll 'n' square slice. Followed by chocolate coins and washed down with Buck's Fizz.

UniBallEye · 13/12/2021 11:32

We eat our dinner at around 7pm so we always have a big brunch around 11.30am. Some years its a full cooked breakfast, other years it's been things like pancakes with crispy bacon and maple syrup.

This year I am thinking it might have to be eggs benedict.

We always have fresh orange juice, lots of fresh coffee and champagne!

We also always have M&S frozen croissants / pain au chocolat and chocolate chip cookies in the freezer but never have them on Christmas day. They make a handy breakfast sometime over the holidays though

@stitchinguru

Selection Box
This would be me haha.
Letsbekindplease · 13/12/2021 11:41

Haha not something we’ve ever done. Always too excited to do a fancy breakfast, so it’s usually toast and cheese. I might get something fancy this year though.

Feedingthebirds1 · 13/12/2021 11:46

Ham and pickled onions with white bread and butter. The reasons for this are lost in the mists of time but it's a long-standing tradition. strangely, it works.

Pork pie, bread & butter

All of the above. Can trace it back over 150 years as a family tradition.

IncompleteSenten · 13/12/2021 11:47

Selection of pastries and a fuckton of chocolate.

winolady · 13/12/2021 11:53

Always Buck's Fizz, this year with bacon sandwiches, Tesco finest unsmoked streaky 😋

Scotabroad24 · 13/12/2021 11:55

We always have warm croissants with cheese and ham, bucks fizz for the adults and hot chocolate for the kids. We've had the same for as long as i can remember.

onlyhereforthefood · 13/12/2021 12:01

spring rolls...odd little family tradition!

HalloHello · 13/12/2021 13:01

We have bacon sandwiches, bucks fizz, pan au chocolat and coffee. Quick and easy so we don't miss any present opening!

Babyroobs · 13/12/2021 13:04

We usually have a bagel with scrambled egg and smoked salmon or cream cheese and smoked salmon.

Jas1986 · 13/12/2021 13:22

Bacon sandwiches and selection boxes 😍
