Thread 2 - the one with the return of the buns

Reastie · 16/08/2021 18:53

@jumpingintosummer thanks for the inspiration for the thread title, I’m now singing ‘return of the buns’ to the tune of ‘return of the Mac’

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Yeknom · 24/08/2021 11:58

Thanks @Wolfcub

Daisy829 · 24/08/2021 12:16

Not a bargain as such but if there are any bath and body works fans, next have started to stock their items online. Candles are 2 for £35, soaps 2 for £10 & they have some body care products on 3 for 2.

Thegirlhasnoname · 24/08/2021 12:24

Accessorize sale has some good bits in it. I remember getting myself a blanket scarf off the back of this thread a few years ago and it was lovely. Just bought a few more for gifts

BigGreen · 24/08/2021 12:27

Very frustrating that click and collect is so costly these days! Found some great bargains on HOF but the click and collect is £4.99

Gracesquirrel · 24/08/2021 12:32

Lego City Racing Car down from £8.99 to £4

Gimmemoredonuts · 24/08/2021 12:49

Just wanted to say hello and a massive thank you for this thread. I've been a lurker this year and previous years!
I have done most of my stocking filler and filler presents for the year and also have some bigger presents too.
Rex London, Lowplex Books and Toys for a Pound have been brilliant over the past few years.
This year I managed to snag some of the Wax Lyrical candle sets for TA gifts which look beautiful and expensive!

I haven't got any bargains to add atm but thanks for every bargain and idea posted.

Smile3 · 24/08/2021 12:56

FireflyGirl · 24/08/2021 13:09

@Smile3 you can choose 'Amazon Day Delivery' when you check out at the bargain price, and have only one delivery a week. There's a button with a picture of a box when you click to check out.

Obviously, if DH mentions it, you already knew that Wink

Have you got a link? Are they actually shipping over here now?!
Wtfdidwedo · 24/08/2021 13:27

@UrbanMage www3.next.co.uk/search?w=Bath+and+body+works I think this is it?

UrbanMage · 24/08/2021 13:30

@Wtfdidwedo OMMFG! This has made my absolute day!

Daisy829 · 24/08/2021 13:39

@UrbanMage apparently next own a large percentage of the bbw company. If you go on the app and search bath and body it will bring them up. I think prices are quite reasonable x

This is something I did not know. Bookmarked it to ask DH to buy me bits for my birthday! Shame they don’t do the pocketbacs (which I love) but at least I can get some of my favourite scents in shower gel form!

Thank you!

Daisy829 · 24/08/2021 13:46

@UrbanMage I only found out today. I agree about the pocket bacs as they are really popular. Maybe they will expand the range in time. I noticed they had some of the spray anti bacs which I’ve had before and are really nice.

Elpheba · 24/08/2021 13:48

Thanks for yoto info- I’ll hold off for a bit to see if any bigger discounts come up but if not I’ll make sure to get a referral link before I buy!

If you have a beginner knitter or crocheter to buy for, look at these kits on LoveCrafts.

They all have £30 off. Most of the kits started at £49.50, which I think is expensive for what they are but £19.50 is more reasonable.

Most of them include acrylic yarn but this one is Pima cotton. That kit includes 3 balls of yarn as well as 30 stitch markers, 2 tapestry needles, a circular knitting needle and a pattern. Those could be useful to an experienced knitter or crocheter who doesn’t want to make the shawl.

Signing up to the newsletter gets you a 15% off code. Postage is free over £25.

woodwaj · 24/08/2021 14:17

@Waterlemon thanks for the advice. They are quite competitive so I've added Blokus to my Amazon wishlist and will keep my eyes peeled for another drop!

Smile3 · 24/08/2021 14:25

@fireflygirl ha thank you for that. Saves the eye roll I get Grin

DollyPartBaked · 24/08/2021 14:35

@FireflyGirl I didn't know / hadn't registered that option on Amazon so will definitely use it from now on - thank you!
