@jumpingintosummer thanks for the inspiration for the thread title, I’m now singing ‘return of the buns’ to the tune of ‘return of the Mac’

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@BeGoneDom try polly pockets, the entertainer is a good place for deals and even the tiniest are complete small worlds.

@Elpheba

Another Blokus sheep here- bought two and will give one to friends we’re going to stay with next week- perfect thank you gift!

Think I’ve decided on getting yoto player for DD for Christmas. CCC doesn’t have any data- just says they’ve always been £79.99- does anyone remember seeing them go down ever?

They don’t seem to go down but they were doing a referral thing which gave 10% off via their site. I’ve got a link if you’d like it (it gives me some points to redeem against future purchases).

Forgot to say we got ours last Christmas for DD3.5 and it’s been a massive hit. She doesn’t use it continuously but goes through phases of using it lots. The Julia Donaldson books are great and we love the Make Your Own cards too.

Just been looking for a rucksack for back to school at house of Fraser.

ASOS have 20% off everything (allegedly) with the code 20MORE, till 8am Wednesday

So happy to have found this lovely festive thread again! I followed along for the first time last year and loved it

I have something to add for small children - Cath Kidston have this lovely wooden tool set listed twice on their website, once for £30 and once for £10. I thought about it and went for the £10.... That's a couple of gifts for a 2 and 3 year old I know!

Hi not particularly christmassy but I got this for my niece its an extra large picnic blanket I thought would be ideal for music festivals etc, might be good for older teens, its reduced to £9.99 ]]
Thanks for this. Great price and with an additional 20% off at checkout. Got the blue one for £7.98.
UrbanMage · 24/08/2021 09:42

@FoolShapeHeart

Tenner Tuesday deals are up at Boots including this Sleek festival set allegedly worth over £80.
I read this as Shrek festival kit. Thought it was weird. Clicked anyway.

I was wrong. And slightly disappointed. Now I know I need more coffee or to clean my glasses...

EvilHerbivore · 24/08/2021 09:47

Some good reductions in the Nuby sale if anyone is buying for a baby this year

Gift for bookworms - subscription book box from A Boxof Stories. 📚

Themed boxes of 4 random books, Not from bestseller lists but highly recommended reads - each box is £21.99 and can use code 20%SUB for 20% off first box - cancel anytime, or set your own subscription frequency. There's also a sort of 'lucky dip' type box with 4 random genre's for only £14.99.

I'm giving the Sci-fi and Fantasy surprise box a try for DH's birthday, so can post an update in a couple of weeks.

@EvilHerbivore thanks for the nuby link, just put a ball pit in my bag

Shimmerandsparkles · 24/08/2021 10:00

Yankee have 20% off with WELCOME20 (apologies if already mentioned)

rainingcats · 24/08/2021 10:17

Thanks @Carrotcakeforbreakfast I had forgotten about House of Fraser

Just had a look and there are lots of sale items that would make good stocking fillers for teenagers. Branded socks, card games, hats … worth a browse.

Number109 · 24/08/2021 10:25

@happytobemrsg do you have any kinetic sand? I have 3 and 5 year old girls and both of mine love it - the digger obsessed 3 year old had the construction set for her birthday.

whatwillicallmyself · 24/08/2021 10:30

@NC1602 and @Maharajah20 fair play to you both I didnt notice the 20% off thats what happens when your shopping half asleep in the early hours of the morningSmile

Scout2016 · 24/08/2021 10:46

Anyone wondering about what discount you get if you become a Tofu Cute member for £1, it's a few pence off most items and points per purchase...I'd have to buy 20 kit kats to make the quid back but my curiosity is satisfied.

Foxmylife · 24/08/2021 10:52

Thanks for Boots Tuesday deal reminder, just got some sticking fillers, apparently saved over £300!!!

Wolfcub · 24/08/2021 10:55

For those with kids with a Japan or China love there are some micro Lego build kits which are discounted. Use code bd10 for free postage and an extra discount. Got a sushi house for ds for just over £16

Serg · 24/08/2021 10:56

This is great, thank you. I’ve ordered 2, plus signed up for new customer email and got a further 10% off!

Yeknom · 24/08/2021 11:01

@Wolfcub oooh they sound good, may I ask where from? x

Notlongnow1 · 24/08/2021 11:03

Presumably it stops being a bargain if you consider having another baby so you can justify buying a beautiful ball pit? Asking for a friend.

Grrrpredictivetex · 24/08/2021 11:14

Not a bargain as such but £12 from The Works if you fancy an alternative. Only a 12 days of Christmas.
