Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Late addition to the list but has anyone seen these mood octopus toys anywhere for Xmas delivery?
Otherwise known as flop octopus?

@Lovemusic33.... this is me, except my DS is not yet a teen🙈

Raindropsonrosesand · 20/12/2020 09:45

Thanks, @sorryiasked - they look perfect!

Raindropsonrosesand · 20/12/2020 09:51

Those octopus toys are super-cute! No idea for quick delivery though, sorry.

sugarplumfairy2010 · 20/12/2020 10:12

The octopus are available on the website plushie-flip with Christmas delivery x

@Rubyroo73 Aldi had some of the plushieflip reversible toys, no idea if there was an octopus but might be worth checking if there's one nearby

ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas · 20/12/2020 10:49

Help! Anyone know where I could buy some silly string? Ds is getting a Spider-Man web shooter and I need refills - the Amazon ones will arrive after Christmas. Live in a city so can find most shops.

SpamIAm · 20/12/2020 11:07

I really can't face doing any more shopping so there'll be no more twitching here. Very much helped by the fact the middle of Lidl will be blocked off when I do my food shop next week.

SadderThanEeyore · 20/12/2020 11:14

@Lovemusic33 thank you so much. Really helpful info, will have a look now at the Chase.
@sorryiasked thank for the link, might try some questions out on him!!
@whoknows1230 I don't know anything about labyrinth but will look it up - got to be better than screen time

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 20/12/2020 12:22

@ItsIgginningtolookalotlikeXmas I bought some silly string from my local Poundland last week.

TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter · 20/12/2020 13:09

Help me please oh wise ones

The only thing younger DS has asked for for Christmas is the Mattel version of “The Child” baby yoda.

I had ordered one from IWOOT a couple of weeks ago (before I realised they were the same as Zavvi, who have been a disaster). Anyway, we were surprised to see once it was dispatched that it was coming from the US. It made it almost to our door ...was out for delivery.... but Yodel have lost it.

I now need to find one at short notice which can be delivered from somewhere reputable! Happy to pay above RRP but needs to be somewhere where I can be sure it’s going to arrive.

And has to be delivered, because in Scotland we are not allowed to travel between tiers and there are only supermarkets and an Argos here.

I know I’m asking for the moon on a stick, but if anyone can do it, you guys can xxx

Charlottle · 20/12/2020 13:12

Thank you for all the replies about cocktail umbrellas, didn’t get time to go anywhere yesterday but plenty of places for me to look for them tomorrow so thanks again to all that replied Xmas Smile

XiCi · 20/12/2020 13:14

They're on Amazon with prime delivery for delivery before Xmas TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter. If you don't have Prime maybe a friend or family member who has could order for you?

dizzygirl1 · 20/12/2020 13:19

@twnkltwnkllittlestarfighter my ex dh picked one up from Sainsbury's.
I bought one in September from smyths - I'm not sure if they have them in stock or delivery.

TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter · 20/12/2020 13:21

OMG @XiCi I swear it wasn’t there when I looked. That was the first place I tried. Thank you so much for pointing it out. Now ordered. You have saved Christmas Xmas Smile
selina25 · 20/12/2020 13:21

disney store?

XiCi · 20/12/2020 13:33

Yay. That's brilliant TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter. Made up for you!

Lovemusic33 · 20/12/2020 13:39

Well I survived a trip to TK Maxx without twitching, shops were pretty busy and I didn’t see anything I wanted to buy other than a charger (wireless thingy) for my phone. Waitrose was packed too, I’m now home and hoping I don’t have to enter a shop again this year 🤣

Waiting for 2 Amazon parcels, one had been delayed 😡

TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter · 20/12/2020 13:48

Thanks @dizzygirl1 too Xmas Smile. Sainsbury’s would never have occurred to me because our local one is tiny. My brother is now going to check the big Sainsbury’s near him, as older DS had also said he would like one (but priority had been for younger DS because it was his only request).

This thread is so awesome Xmas Grin WineCakeFlowersFlowersFlowers

Mahonia · 20/12/2020 13:54

@Raindropsonrosesand for some reason the idea of dolls doing gymnastics followed by ninja moves really made me chuckle Grin

@YuleAreBeingUnREASTIEable I nominate "the one with the ninja move gymnast dolls" or something similar for the next thread title!

LittleSquirrels · 20/12/2020 14:15

For those that have the hot chocolate shaker, do you have to buy special chocolate or can you use powder? Also is there any way to get free delivery? Thanks all xx

FoolShapeHeart · 20/12/2020 14:26

You can use powder, chocolate pieces, whatever - it's literally just a beaker with an expandable lid so you can shake it safely. Free delivery over £40 I think

LittleSquirrels · 20/12/2020 15:05

@FoolShapeHeart
Thank you for your reply much appreciated ☺️

margaritasbythesea · 20/12/2020 15:47

Claire's have buy3 get 3free on, free delivery over £20 and selected jewellery sets reduced from £12 to £6. They say they will deliver by Christmas with express delivery. Also might be good to stock up for birthdays next year.
