Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@naturalblondeyeahright for the toddlers I would go with a busy book - its a book with 10 figures. Something like paw patrol, or there's sometimes Christmas themed ones. These are popular with all the little ones at the nursery I work at. Or if you wanted to go for a book, something by Sue Hendra is a good shout. Funny and colourful. Or toywise happyland figure set or duplo is something you can never have too many of, even duplicates are handy 😁

Panicking now. Hubby has left present for my sister in law so so late (my fault too for not chasing it up or sorting it out!) any ideas for a 33 year old vegan? Into most things! Was going to get the aldi vegan hamper ages ago but then they went out of stock 😬

CarrotVan · 19/12/2020 09:04

@StepIntoXmas Holland and Barrett do vegan/natural/clean beauty gifts.

RugsEverywhere · 19/12/2020 09:05

Fancy Vegan Marshmallows ?

CarrotVan · 19/12/2020 09:08

You could do a nice beauty and snack hamper plus good cash back from TCB, delivery before Christmas or collect in store and 20% off today

@RugsEverywhere

Wow love this site. They don't have much left but I've bought a hot chocolate set for her and have saved the website for the future x
Charlottle · 19/12/2020 10:06

Does anyone know any shops (not online) that sell the little cocktail umbrellas and ideally any other cocktail accessories/decorations? We’ve been practicing some cocktails to have over Christmas but I feel like they need a bit of decoration to jazz them up Xmas Grin I’m going to Asda later anyway so had a look online and don’t seem to be able to find any so hoping there’s somewhere else

handmademitlove · 19/12/2020 10:12

@Charlottle try Wilko

Hi all, I've bought three board games recommended on these threads: Blokus, Ticket to Ride Europe, and Disney Colour Brain (yes I am a sheep). All these games are either 7+ or 8+. I'm sure DD (7) will be okay, but can anyone advise whether DS (4) is likely to be able to play any of these? He's pretty good at games - he can play Pop to the Shops which is 5+ with a bit of help with the money, and he's fine with Monopoly Junior, but having never played any of the three games I don't know which he'd be most likely to be able to play. Thanks in advance!

SparklingLime · 19/12/2020 10:29

OMG, just received a promotional email from The Oodie. They are taking the piss. It even includes the abandoned phone number.

My 4 year old likes to play with the blokus set, but he can't actually play the game.

Ticket to ride absolutely no chance.

I'm afraid I don't know the Disney one

Kriskristoffifee · 19/12/2020 10:42

The range had cocktail umbrellas in .

1122christy · 19/12/2020 10:47

@ThePurpleGirl disney colour brain is a good game and I think he should be able to play it. Basically a question is asked like what colour is woodys hat and then you have to put a colour card down that u think is right. We used to play in teams when the kids were younger. Some of the questions might be bit harder that even adults struggle with but it's all in good fun. Plus depends how many Disney films you have seen and know well.

Rockhopper81 · 19/12/2020 11:17

@ThePurpleGirl - Disney Colour Brain should be fine for a 4 year old, as you can just guess if it comes down to it. Also, it's sometimes surprising how much detail children notice in Disney characters, so they can often answer questions even adults find tricky!

Rockhopper81 · 19/12/2020 11:18

@SparklingLime - okay, I'm doing it!! 🤪

PinkDaydreams · 19/12/2020 11:33

Sainsbury's magnum of prosecco down to £10

ThePurpleGirl · 19/12/2020 11:34

Thanks @TakeMeToYourLiar, @1122christy, and @Rockhopper81

I was leaning towards the Colour Brain, and you've just decided me. He is incredibly observant- he'll notice straight away if I'm wearing a new top for instance, or if something gets moved in his bedroom, and we watch a lot of Disney (we made very good use of Disney Plus during lockdown Grin), so hopefully he'll be okay.

Daisy829 · 19/12/2020 12:38

@CoffeeAndEnnui have you seen the thread about oodie deliveries? Some people on there are saying they are getting theirs that weren’t due until January so maybe things are moving a little.
