It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

@SparklingLime, I got TWO of those emails this morning. Luckily I was well-rested enough to see the funny side, last night my head would have exploded. They have been in touch today to offer a partial refund (so I can buy something as a stand-in) or a full one following some mild bombardment of their social media last night when I was considering making a giant hole in our already mighty overdraft to fix the mess and suddenly found myself filled with righteous anger

@Daisy829, just saw your post too, I haven't seen the thread but I'm off to search for it now because even today they are maintaining that they cannot get any lorries to move the Oodies from the port to their UK distribution centre I might need to make a strategic cuppa first because the prospect of them shipping January orders while early December due deliveries remain unfulfilled is making my blood boil...

Check your Nrxt accounts if you have them for VIP sale slots. Usually they email me bit this time they didn't and I found accidentally while paying off my account that they were available.

On that note, can anyone remember if it's worth filling your basket in advance of the Next sale? Do the prices get adjusted or do you have to go and fill it up again?

ThePurpleGirl We have Ticket to Ride and my 9 year old plays it and has done for last year but it's quite a long game. You can get Ticket To Ride, My First Journey which is a simplified version and quicker. Our 6 year can play that and has done for last year or so.

@Charlottle I don’t know how old these are but our tiny Sainsbury’s have obviously done them in the past

I have both tickets to ride but definitely the junior one for a family game, the other one fine if you have game-loving dc but I can only hold mine down for half an hour at a time!

My Xbox series x arrived today so doing a little dance about that :)

YO girl? Kind of sprung on me and I don't know them well enough ( or want to) buy individual gifts

I try to look beforehand and write the codes down. I check out every few items as they aren't held in your basket, it's very much first come first served.

@4Minions2CallMyOwn, I got mine from Very. Decent price although had to pay postage cost rather than click and collect but they came within days. I had an issue with an Echo Dot from Currys in the Black Friday Sale (although it has since arrived) and ordered one from Very, albeit at a higher price. Again, it arrived in days so I've been impressed.
Airpods same price on Amazon but saying they'll arrive after Christmas/January.

@4Minions2CallMyOwn I haven’t checked prices recently but I brought some from John Lewis. They were the same price as very, curry’s, etc but had a two year guarantee instead of one. Free postage too. They took a little longer to arrive, possibly just over a week, but I did order on Black Friday.

I forget now who shared the chocolate society hot chocolate shaker but it arrived today and it's great! Bought for myself but debating buying a couple more as gifts. SHAKER gave me 25% off 👌🏻
