Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

@sepsisandAKI Ordnance Survey 20% off everything with code BF20 until Monday.

I bought an annual subscription for £24 instead of £30. I've previously bought him personalised paper maps which are lovely too.

caffeineanddryshampoo · 29/11/2020 22:11

I've bought from Just My Look before, had no issues :)

HettyPain · 29/11/2020 22:14

@JustanotherTuesday

Has anyone bought from Just my look before ? They have some good offers on Yankee Candle and I wanted to treat myself Smile
I did and I don't recommend them. My order never arrived. I ended up getting my money back but from Paypal, not the company. Maybe I was unlucky but I saw quite a lot of negative reviews online too.
Bezzi · 29/11/2020 22:14

@Lolly34h thanks for the diary find, just ordered 🙂

InDreamland · 29/11/2020 22:17

@littlestpogo I second the create your own hamper at Fortnums. You'll need to be quick as that service ends on 4th December this year for Christmas so get your order in soon. Building your own from all the goodies you actually fancy is definitely a treat. I highly recommend the hickory smoked nuts if you like nuts, they are delish! I have ordered a few jars for me and DH to munch our way through.

DillieDoily · 29/11/2020 22:22

Thanks for the doll school uniform ideas for an Our Generation doll- will have a look at Frilly Lilly

And thanks for the book recommendations for my DF

DillieDoily · 29/11/2020 22:26

Baa Baa Bubbles sheep game is only £5 at The Entertainer or Amazon

myhobbyisouting · 29/11/2020 22:32

@littlestpogo why not treat yourself to a few smaller different ones.

Eg. Snowdonia cheese co for the cheese, pasta evangelists for an easy but nice meal, craft gin club for drinks...

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 29/11/2020 22:52

@littlestpogo there are codes for @myhobbyisouting last two suggestions on the referral thread too!

Ruralretreating · 29/11/2020 22:57

Those looking for gifts for 10 month old babies, I just bought DD1 a 70cm diplodocus plush from Dunelm for £10. It will be as big as her and I’m sure she’ll love it. I haven’t seen it as my Mum collected it but she said it’s lovely. Hard to get large sized gifts comparable to the enormous boxes DS1&2 will get so I’m very pleased!

TimeToCloseTheDoor · 29/11/2020 23:11

Ffs, just caught up after my night shift. I’m perm on night shifts for December, I miss you all during the day Sad

I will post my email discounts tomorrow for you all.

JustanotherTuesday · 29/11/2020 23:14

Thanks for replying to my query. Reviews do seem mixed for Just my look. Knowing my luck I would have a problem with my order. I might just pay a couple of pounds more and get it from Yankee Candle as I 've ordered from them before and not had any problems.

flumposie · 29/11/2020 23:17

@JustanotherTuesday I bought the yankee candle advent calendar from just my look and service was great

Ruralretreating · 29/11/2020 23:20

Also picked up Christmas bedding on Groupon - a Double set for under £12 delivered using code BLACKWEEK for extra 10% off not many designs left though

Bsgetty · 29/11/2020 23:59

@Elskerdeg Thank you so much for the Telestrations advice - very happy I won’t have to keep it in the cupboard for years after all!

And @anonopopomus, thanks for the brilliant H&M/Amazon voucher tip, that worked a treat!

If anyone is looking for stocking filler ideas, the Mad libs books are brilliant. One person asks everyone for various words (it’s also stealth educational, as it asks for nouns, adjectives etc), and then those get inserted into a story. They’re hilarious, and keep my children amused for ages. There are Christmas ones, but also pretty much any theme you can think of (eg Star Wars, Ronald Dahl etc.
Not a bargain as such, but most of them only cost £3-5.

Big Potaoes Chameleon Board Game Fantastic price at Waterstones only £12.49 and TASTE10 gives you a further 10% off. Amazing price currently £25 Amazon

Ruralretreating · 30/11/2020 02:39

Arghhh must stop night feed shopping - bought Chameleon and lots of baby books from Waterstones, outweighing the saving on the game.

CupoTeap · 30/11/2020 05:54

Birchbox 2 x boxes for £7 free delivery - I've gone via Top Cashback at £1.65 but as always not guaranteed (don't for to cancel)

TheSilentStars · 30/11/2020 06:30

Thank you, I missed Amazon’s £19.99 by being too indecisive, even better less than £15 delivered.
TheGirlWhoLived · 30/11/2020 07:25

I’ve got the hotel chocolat for £60 too!
